Got lucky that there was a table open when we got there because there aren't many tables. You order on the QR code and it's a bit confusing because I meant to order soup but ordered chicken and rice. The chicken was kind of fatty. It came with 2 sides the seaweed was good but the egg soup was cold. I don't think I would go back the food looked fatty and was not cheap my meal was $20 before tip.

What a meal! Stopped by for dinner and ordered the braised chicken pot! Portion was pretty huge with soup and side dish with rice :) service was friendly and quick! Feels very authentic!

Located near San Tomas Expressway on El Camino, parking is plentiful and easy to find. The interior is quite small and does get filled up quite quickly. However the staff are very good about keeping you updated with your wait time. Yellow braised chicken combo-boneless (5/5): the chicken was so tender and moist. I was really impressed with the texture and quality of the meat. Also the food remained hot all throughout the time of eating which made the food taste drastically better. The potato salad was delicious too. It had a good kick and the potatoes were a good texture. The egg soup was great. I loved the touches of corn that was added. Portions were a good size too. Staff is absolutely amazing. They're really good about ensuring you have a good dining experience. Tap to pay is accepted. Overall Sizzling Pot House is a perfect restaurant. I'd definitely come back here.

Visited on a Friday night and luckily there was no wait. There's easy parking in the lot outside. Ordering is done through a QR code you can scan on the table; it's pretty easy. Service was friendly and they made sure our water was always filled. I would recommend getting a combo. I got the yellow braised chicken one that's boneless and it was a good amount of food. The chicken was also super flavorful and plentiful. It came with rice, soup (egg or seaweed), a side (I chose potato strips), and a dessert. You can also choose the spicy level as well. I would definitely come back for this!

Pork spare ribs set with shredded potatoes as the side

I was very pleasantly surprised by this place. It is located next to Petco. I went with a friend who had already checked it out. They have braised Chinese set meals which includes rice, a side dish, soup, and dessert so the price is overall reasonable for the amount of food you get. No issues with parking, and when we went, we beat the lunch rush. The establishment did get full at lunch time but it still did not result in an enormous line or wait. Perhaps most people get takeout from this place as the workers stayed busy and there was a steady stream of people who were in and out for pickup. You need to use the QR code to view the menu and place your order. I chose the braised pork ribs, and my friend got the braised beef. We got different sides so we could share; I got the shredded potatoes, which is a personal favorite side dish of mine I usually like to get Chinese restaurants, and my friend got the seaweed. The meat also had deliciously flavored potatoes that soaked up the braising liquid, and tasted excellent. The pork spare ribs were overall soft and fell off the bones. Although a very solid dish, I personally liked the flavor of the beef a little bit better, which is what my friend got. It was also difficult, as both of us wanted to try the intestines, but maybe that's for next time. For the sides, I am less familiar with the Chinese sides made of seaweed, but it is certainly different from the usual seaweed side that is sweet and sour that can be found at Japanese and some Chinese restaurants, and which you can also get at Costco. Instead, it was savory, not sweet, and very garlicky. I was satisfied with this side, but I highly preferred the shredded potatoes. They were mostly soft but still retained a slight crunch with a sweet vinegar flavor and refreshing when eaten with the heavier braised met. Egg drop soup was ok, nothing really noteworthy. The desert was a lightly flavored jelly and rounded out the meal. You can also get some add ons that are an additional cost but sounded good. I am definitely interested in coming back to try some of their other dishes.

Wow, this place is so good and worth it! I love that the combos you get to pick between seaweed and egg soup. I chose egg and it was delicious. Then you can pick between cold seaweed or potato. I chose cold seaweed. Then you get this yummy refreshing herbal jelly drink. You will get full! I picked the hot and spicy beef noodles. Noodles tasted fresh and the soup has a kick, so if you can't handle spicy, don't get this. My partner got the braised boneless chicken with extra spice. I like that it came with radish, which paired well. Food is great. Restaurant can get packed around lunch time. You order via barcode on the table. Food comes out pretty quick. It's clean, but a bitt small inside. Would definitely come back.

Yummy combos although the service is a bit lacking Came here for some din on a Sunday. The place filled up quickly around dinner time. Got the braised pork combo and the bone soup rice noodles. Combos come with a side dish (seaweed or potato strip salad), egg drop soup, rice or noodles, and a big mug of grass jelly to cool things off. Pork ribs were flavorful and tender. The bone soup was a bit underwhelming - not enough beef flavor and undersalted. Overall the food was delish. Main issue is that his place is understaffed - just one waitress for all the tables. As such it takes forever to get anything. Hopefully they improve the efficiency or hire more people

I really enjoyed this place! Reminds me of home cooked food. I got the yellow braised chicken and chose the cucumber, bean curd and wood ear mushroom as the side with egg drop soup. The meal came with some gelatin dessert too that had a few raisins in it. It didn't have a strong flavor nor was it very sweet besides the raisins. It was nice and cold though. It was a great meal and the staff was very friendly and sweet. Scan the QR code on the table and place your order, staff is nearby to assist but their English is a bit limited. Other dish we ordered was the bone rice soup noodle. This was a little too plain for me but perfect for my toddler. I also tried the Golden Chili Beef Slice Rice noodle which had a much better flavor but unfortunately was a little spicy. I didn't find it too spicy but I'm pretty sure my toddler would. I definitely plan to eat my way through the menu here.

I'm just going to start this off by saying that the service WAS GREAT. 5/5 stars just for that. One of the servers was sooo sweet and kept refilling our waters like practically every 10 minutes. She really took time to explain the food and the ordering process for any new customers. Moving on to the food, it all reminded me so much of the food my mom and dad cooked for me growing up (albeit...a lot oilier lol). Any vegetables in the pots were cooked until they were melt in your mouth soft, and the meat was crazy tender. I also love that they offer combo options with a side dish, soup, rice, and even a dessert! I couldn't even come close to finishing all of my food because portions were large. The chicken I got was savory, but if you're not accustomed to eating bone-in chicken like this (not your typical wings or drumsticks), then maybe avoid this because you'll encounter many, many bones breaking apart in your mouth. I'd give this 5 stars if it wasn't so oily, though. I get that the oil provides a lot of flavor to this, but after some time, it all started to feel really heavy. Still, I think I'd come here again and order one combo to split with someone else because portions were so big and the food was tasty. :)

We ordered the: - Hot and Spocy Bref Slice Rice Noodle: was to spicy for me but my boyfriend enjoyed it! Love the beef slices and the quail eggs :) - Yellow Braised Beef Brisket: omg this was so good! So tender and juicy. I could've ate the whole pot!!! Went so good with rice. - Yellow Braised Pork Trotter: This was cooked perfectly! Soft to eat and love the gelatinous texture skin. - Yellow Braised Lamb Chops: Soft and tender! Loved the crunchy bones!! Overall, I had an amazing experience!! Thank you Eva for being so welcoming and she's a great server!!

I had my reservations, but Sizzling Pot House has quite the niche down pat. It's a fast-food-esque kind of experience with a pretty simple interior, but with surprisingly good quality hot pot dishes done in a jiffy. Add in some well balanced combo meals with veggies, sides, rice, and you have Sizzling Pot House. It's a pretty good value with the combo meal and flavors are spot on. They do cater considerably to Chinese palate though, but for what it does they do it pretty well. Main combo actually has "free" options, so make sure to order all the things you want included. Ordering a dish "by itself" on the menu is just that dish with no freebies except rice...for the same price. So yeah, don't make that mistake like I did for my brother. They were a little backed up by takeout, but staff still checked in with each table in good time. If anything I was surprised how polite the folks running the place were (it's sad to admit it's a rarity, but it's nice to see nevertheless). It's mostly Chinese clientele, but they handled English requests easily enough. QR code ordering system makes for an easy and quick process as soon as you sit down. Pots are indeed *really* hot, so definitely be careful (they do warn you, but I didn't quite take it seriously til I burned myself on some pot-bottom beef). Flavors are surprisingly deep and rich, really working in their favor as a rice-complementary dish. I wasn't in the mood for rice, but getting plenty of the sauce with each bite of meat made for a very delicious meal. The seaweed salad was pretty clean and well done. I wasn't as much of a fan of the seaweed soup as it was pretty basic, but hey freebie is a freebie (I'll just have to get their eggdrop option next time). Combo even came with a little cup of jello and raisin / sugar syrup, which was a nice way to polish the whole thing off.

Sizzling pot, what a pleasant surprise. Thoroughly enjoyed my yellow braised chicken (bone-in) combo. It comes with a choice of side and I chose the potato and a choice of soup. I actually didn't drink any of the soup but the chicken was very tender and tasty, snd the potato side reminds me of the one they serve at Din Ding as a free appetizer. Taste like home made , and would definitely order again.

Authentic Chinese cuisine that brings the flavors of home right to your table! Their combo meals are a food lover's dream: an entree, side dish, soup and rice, delivering an unbeatable value at under $20! From the tender yellow braised chicken or lamb to the richly flavored golden chili beef slice rice noodles, there is a something for everyone. The pork trotter literally falls off the bone, and don't get me started on the side dishes - cold mixed seaweed, potato shreds, and irresistible beancurd, cucumber, woodear mushrooms mix. Service was quick even though there were a number of customers and DoorDash orders. If you're seeking a taste of authentic Chinese set meals that won't break the bank, Sizzling pot house is your casual go-to spot.

We wandered around Grocery Outlet and Savers to pass the time. I came with a group of 6 people. We ordered the sichuan spicy fries and fried chicken cutlet to share. The fries were the spiciest item I had that day, wow! I ordered the Sichuan chicken cold noodles, extra spicy. They were not spicy at all. I left everyone at the table try them and they all agreed it was not spicy. Kind of disappointing, I expected them to be spicier than the fries at least. My partner had the chengdu zajiang noodles, mild spicy. They were good, the signature dish of the restaurant. I would return, but their spice levels are very inconsistent.

Party of 12, since we got there early, we agreed. The side room had the biggest round table for us. They ask you what kind of tea you want, we like chrysanthemum tea. You order the items on the paper menu and it comes to your table. So we got going on the orders and TBH, we must be hungry, because we did a lot of orders (we had plenty of left overs). Tried some favorites and a few new items that we thought were unique to their restaurant. My dad has to order crispy noodle and chow fun, and we also ordered chicken fried rice. The service was prompt and attentive, with enough servers to take care of the side room. Since it was the "sun room", the sun was shining through the windows and it was bright. Review from my parents: it was just meh, they prefer the other place near our house. I think the food is good, but probably won't come back again with a big group of us, since they don't have many big round tables. And personally, I prefer the whole experience of the ladies coming around with their carts. Perhaps their dinner menu is also worth trying. Bonus for us is that we can literally walk to this restaurant. Parking could be an issue if you come later.
