We visited Dzert in Buena Park and had a pleasant experience, though it didn't quite cross the threshold into being truly memorable. I decided to try their version of shaved ice and found the texture and flavor to be quite good, though I was a bit surprised to find that all toppings come at an additional cost, which differs from many other shaved ice spots I've frequented. I appreciated that they offer multiple sizes, and I opted for the "mini," which turned out to be more than enough for 2 people. To go along with the treat, we ordered an iced coffee, but I found it to be just decent and not necessarily something I would go out of my way to rave about. While I enjoyed the atmosphere and the quality of the shaved ice itself, the extra charges for toppings and the standard coffee made this a solid 4-star visit for me rather than a 5-star one.

We ordered two small shaved ices, one with mango flavor and the other with passion fruit. We got berries and mochis as our additional topping. The shaved ice was nice and refreshing! It wasn't too sweet and the flavors blended well together. We also got the Dubai chocolate cookie and it was mediocre. I wouldn't recommend ordering it. It doesn't taste like the ones from Korea. Can't really taste the pistachio flavor in the pistachio cream. Service was excellent! The cashier was patient and helpful while we were ordering. We received our orders within 5 minutes of ordering. There is some seating inside and parking is available in a shared lot with other businesses. The lot can get pretty packed. There are better shaved ice places imo, but it's a nice spot if you want something quick and easy.

This is a very good place for Korean patbingsu and other desserts with ice. We had the #9 which seems like the traditional Korean version you'd normally get. It was good which plenty of fruit and condensed milk (key to have this making it taste more like ice cream). I thought it was a bit light on the actual patbingsu (the sweet red bean). Our friends had the #11 nutty which tastes like coffee. Pretty good! The waffle bowl looked great as well, but I didn't taste it. Definitely recommend.

What I like about this place is it has different sizes to accommodate one's preference. My daughter and I shared a "baby" size and it wasn't really "baby" size at all. We just had lunch but wanted something to satisfy our sweet tooth so we came here. Service was quick but we had to pay cash as their wireless payment was down.

Wanted something sweet and refreshing and this hit the spot! Parking was easy and there were ample tables inside. There's a huge variety of snow flavors and toppings to choose from. I had the mango snow which I thought was delicious but slightly on the sweet side. After adding boba and condensed milk, the price did add it up but it satisfied my craving. Only the plate size has an option for two flavors but I wish that the other sizes allowed you to mix flavors too. The specialities seem like a good deal because of the size and number of toppings. Next time I'll try one of them!

Like eating a flavored cloud! Better than a snow cone! So smooth, soft, melts in your mouth. Packed with flavor-I had watermelon with sweetened condensed milk & my daughter had pineapple sweetened condensed milk with lychee & mango jelly. DELICIOUS & REFRESHING! Great service, very helpful! We ate here & enjoyed the music. It added to the relaxed atmosphere.

Dzert is such a fun late-night spot when you're craving something sweet. We tried the chocolate ice cream loaded with toppings and a raspberry ice cream with soft whipped cream--both were rich, fresh, and super satisfying. The staff were kind and really helpful in guiding us through the options, which made the whole experience even better. Big plus: they're open late, so it's a perfect go-to for a post-dinner dessert run. Definitely coming back when that late-night sweet tooth hits again.

Great local, late-night desert place! Dzert shares a parking lot with several casual sit-down restaurants so parking can be sparse. For the store itself, it's on the smaller end but cozy! Perfect place to sit and chat with friends. They offer tea, coffee, an assortment of deserts, and yummy bingsoo combinations. They also put their iced drinks in these cans which I thought was fun! We ordered the brown sugar milk tea and the Thai iced tea. The Thai iced tea was INSANE, probably one of the best I've had ever. Super floral, creamy, and perfectly sweet. The cashier was also super kind and helpful as it was our first time. Can't wait to come back and try their bingsoo or hot chocolate

We dropped by Dzert since we were in the area watching Medieval Times .The cafe is a quiet and peaceful little dessert cafe. I forgot the names of all our orders but the shaved ice melted like ice cream. The chunks of mangoes were sweet and the condensed milk added richness. They have plenty of mix-ins you can add to each bingsoo. They come in four sizes - the small can easily feed 1-2 people, and the large comes in a little black pan and can easily serve 3-4. The staff is friendly and there's a decent amount of seating. I recommend the mango bingsoo. It's layers of milky, fluffy shaved ice sandwiched between a slightly tart, slightly sweet mango purée.

Visited here for a second time. This time around I ordered peanut butter flavor of the snow ice topped with mochi, almonds and chocolate shavings. I enjoyed the peanut butter flavor, it wasn't too sweet and the peanut butter flavor was definitely there and went well with my choice of toppings. Service was good and attentive, definitely another good experience from Dzert!

My husband and I were looking for a place to get something sweet after showing some properties to a client. Boy we feel like we found a diamond in Dzert! Their snow was so delicious and soft. Flavors are pronounced and toppings were fresh. Taiyaki was heavenly as well. Can't wait to come back and try more items. Inside is very clean too. Staff is nice and friendly. 10/10!!

Went here for dessert and will definitely be back! We ordered the mini s'mores and it was anything but mini. The portion size was perfect. The marshmallow was roasted perfectly, giving it that classic campfire s'mores flavor. The addition of mini chocolate chips on top was the perfect finishing touch that made it extra delicious. On top of that, the staff was incredibly friendly, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend!

Inside is small and simple. There's a few tables and chairs if you want to eat in. Parking is a bit difficult because there's a lot of stores in this plaza. We ordered the plate snow with 2 flavors. You pay per topping and drizzle at 65cents each. Cost wasn't too bad for 2 toppings and 1 drizzle. I love how they bottle their drinks. They put it in cans so it's completely sealed until you drink it. The snow was pretty good. Really great alternative to shaved ice because it's so light and fluffy. It was super sweet though since the ice is flavored so I recommend going easy on the drizzles. Service was a 10/10. Girl in the front was very nice and went over their sizes and and menu when I asked.

okay so like hear me out...this is more like shaved ice rather than bingsoo to me? we got the mango snow with mochi + fruity pebbles topping. first off...the mango flavoring tasted well.. like a chemical-y flavoring syrup. it was way too sweet for our liking! I mean we enjoyed the texture of our toppings which was chewy & crunchy & flavorful! but I don't think we'd come here again :/ staff was really nice, they enjoyed our jokes lol. I guess it's a nice place to hangout & chat. we saw some people studying here cause they had outlets. don't knock it till you try it! read more

Stopped by on a lazy Monday afternoon and this place totally hit the spot. I got the mini Strawberry "Snow" shaved ice and my fiancée got the Mango flavor--both were amazing! Super light, fluffy, and perfectly balanced--not overly sugary or sweet like some places. It honestly felt like eating flavored clouds. We also tried the Lychee Green Tea and the Thai Iced Coffee, and wow... both were delicious. Refreshing, smooth, and just what we needed as a mid-day pick-me-up. I really wanted to love this place but it wasn't worth the calories... I found the snow to taste like cheap syrup? It was like slurping water with syrup. Hard to put my finder on it. I must recognize the staff was friendly and working hard at cleaning tables. My only complaint was that when our order of snow was ready, nobody made an effort to let us know. There wasn't available seating in the inside of the restaurant so we sat outside, expecting to hear our order called out or perhaps brought to us. Neither was done. Real chill, better service and accommodations then Sul & beans. Staff was nice and they do their best to get orders done right away. Come across the way cauz the other place is always busy. The snow here is the best I've had so far. So soft, how I imagine eating fresh fallen snow. The minty delight was too sweet for us. Would probably stick to fruit to enjoy all toppings. Wasn't bad at all just preference. Snow here is definitely worth it. Be warned specialties are $20 :0 pretty steep for shaved ice but that snow texture is the best. Try it for yourself. Plenty of parking and a good amount of seating. The store had wooden tables and metal chairs. My friend and I shared a baby size, which was more than enough for us. The flavor we got was Thai Tea and we added mochi as a topping. The total was $10.07. It was yummy! This was a desert place me and my friend decided to try after dinner. The price point here is great & I also liked that they had a variety of flavors & deserts. We opted to get the lychee shaved ice with fruity pebble topping & she def got my sweet tooth fix in :-) The shaved ice is soft and fluffy + the strong and sweet lychee flavor made it so yummy. The fruity pebbles were the perfect cherry on top for our shaved ice YUMM. If I'm ever in the area again I really wan try diff flavors of shaved ice here! Nice variety of flavors and good prices. My favorite thing about this place is that they have a mini size for the shaved ice, which is the perfect portion for someone who wants a sweet treat but is looking to avoid the post-dessert food coma. I got the green tea shaved ice with soybean powder on top. The shaved ice itself is light and fluffy, and really teeters that line between subtlety and tastelessness -not necessarily in a bad way though. The "dzert" at this place is so good, at least the coconut snow with coconut jelly. We finally made it here, and had heard so many positive things about it. However we were very disappointed at the service when we arrived. Most of the menu was not available because we got there 25 minutes before closing! We could only order cups with a single flavor. The worst part, as we were ordering, another group walked in, about 6 people, and one of the workers standing next to the cashier right in front of us said, "oh sh$@t!" being angry that more customers walked in. It was clear that the workers there were closing up shop and didn't want to serve anymore customers. There is nothing more irritating than a place closing up before their posted closing time. If they want to close at 930, then don't say you're open until 10! It could have been a really nice place to sit and have a wonderful tasty dessert, but no. We took our orders and left. And to hear a worker use such inappropriate language, is terrible. I don't care if the workers are happy or not, but we should never know when they're not happy. I'm not sure if we will ever go there again. If you decide to go, don't go 30 min before closing, you'll be disappointed. read more

One of the best dessert shops I've had yet. My family and I was looking for a nice place after dinner and dzert was one of the few places open on Christmas. The service was excellent even though the place was pretty crowded. The drinks fit the holiday vibe and overall it was a wonderful dessert/holiday experience. Would totally recommend! OMG! We got the piña colada plate to share between three people, and it's huge! The service was great, because they spent time to tell us what everything was, and explain the different toppings, and we were able to choose one that sounded delicious to all three of us. Because we wanted to share. The restaurant is small, but there is room for everyone, they have counters along the side where you can stand, they have a long table in the middle that fits eight, and then they have smaller tables around the side, and a few tables out front, and they have a restroom also in case you need it. They also serve boba and coffee and tea. We sure didn't think that we would finish it, but we ate the whole thing!! YUM! read more

I come to this place almost every time I'm in the area for Korean food. My friends especially love their misugaru, which is a traditional Korean grain powder drink made from roasted grains like barley and rice. It's nutty, slightly sweet, and really comforting. As for me, I'm a big fan of their taiyaki (Korean-style fish-shaped pastry), cookies, and drinks like the lychee green tea, peach green tea, lavender milk tea, Thai milk tea, jasmine milk tea, and iced Americano. Their snow bingsu is also delicious, so if you're looking for a dessert, I definitely recommend trying it. Another thing I love is that their Americanos and teas come in vacuum-sealed cans, which makes them super convenient to take home. I sometimes buy a few extras to drink the next morning before work. The servers here are always friendly, the service is quick, and even the restroom is clean and well-maintained. Overall, it's a great spot to relax, grab a treat, and enjoy some Korean-style drinks and desserts. read more

My family and I love the snow desserts here, and we visit fairly often--enough to notice they don't use pound cake anymore. With multiple specialties on the menu, each of us has our personal favorite, which shows there's something for everyone. The place is cute, but it could be cleaner; they really need to wipe down the sofa area. It can get super crowded, especially at dinner times, and there's limited seating. The service is okay; the only exceptional service we've received was from the manager or owner himself. They also offer other desserts like macarons, taiyakis, cookies, mini cheesecake bites, and slices of cake. read more

My partner got the shaved ice and I got a hot chocolate and it was amazing was surpassed our expectations!! The service was also great. The guy who might be the owner seems very friendly and it's raining outside and he swept away the water for cleanliness. On downtime it looks like the employees are picking up. This place is great !! This shaved juice is amazing. It's like frozen cotton candy, just melts instantly in your mouth. It's not like Hawaiian shaved ice where it's just ice and then the flavor is a syrup poured on top. This is the actual juice frozen. It's soooo good. Honeydew and peach is great read more

I got the mango ice with condensed milk and gummy bears. The ice was good with the condensed milk but the gummy bears had an extremely weird texture. The gummy bears were chopped up and I found that super odd. There is a restroom inside and there used to be a good amount of tables. Good place for an after dinner snack! read more

Dzert really needs to step up their customer service. The staff didn't even greet us, no "hello," no smile, nothing. On top of that, the shaved ice looked lazy with barely any toppings. For what they charge, it honestly feels like a rip-off. Whoever was on shift seriously needs training on how to treat customers. Definitely not coming back. read more

Oh my god.. it was THE BEST! It was so smooth and the strawberries/syrup was so fresh. It was the best sweet treat to have after a long day. It's located on the first floor on the in between "halls". The times that I've gone there have been quite busy, very surprising for a place that used to be super dead, and even now with more businesses, I still see a good amount of people dining in for their bingsoo. Service is decently fast. There's seating inside and outside, but it's SUPER limited. You might have to take it to go and go into the food court seating area or to the lawn stairs area. Because of the number of customers, it weirdly gets warm inside and it can get messy and dirty. As expected of trash cans filling up, dessert melting and getting everywhere on the tables, etc. So just keep that in mind. I'm unfortunately super biased due to Sul and Beans and that's been my standard since it's the first and closest Korean shaved ice to me. For our visit we got the Melon Okbingsul. We got the cup size since this was more than enough to share with 3 people. All of the toppings are on top. It's cantaloup balls with condensed milk, vanilla ice cream and cheese cake bits and a raspberry. All the toppings are at the top, so with the limited amount of space, this might make it tough to evenly distribute things out without using a separate cup or spilling it over. It's literally smooth shaved ice that's being carried by the toppings all on top. It's no interspersed or that unique in comparison to other bingsoo I've had elsewhere. Now with more emerging eateries in the Source, there's more options out there for dessert.

Yum. This is a cute little coffee shop. I had an ice coffee today. Put your coffee in a can. That's very unique. wOw. I have a good time at store. And I want to try a latte or red bean ice dessert on next visit. read more

Cashier straight up lied to me that they dont have strawberry lemonade on their menu, and had to order something else. And later I check their yelp menu page, they clearly still have them on their menu. read more

Young girls with horrible customer skills work behind the counter of this store. I suggest the manager pay a little more attention to training the young workers. read more
