Dzert really needs to step up their customer service. The staff didn't even greet us, no "hello," no smile, nothing. On top of that, the shaved ice looked lazy with barely any toppings. Solid bingsu for the price! We got lychee snow, with strawberries, mochi, rainbow jelly, and condensed milk on top. The lychee flavor was very nice, most likely a result of syrup, and the strawberries complemented it as well. They really skimped out on the condensed milk to be charging 50 cents extra. They should really give customers a small cup of condensed milk to pour over as they please, much like 90% of other bingsu places. read more

My group opted for honey dew (not vegan) and lychee (vegan) and mochi topping I'm guessing due to the vegan requirement it lacked in creaminess/milk. The texture was quite icy but the portions were big. One thing to note is that toppings can be expensive to add up, and for some reason some toppings didn't have pricing. They also didn't have condensed milk (or at least complimentary) which I'm not used to. They also have drinks and ice cream. I only know 1 shaved snow place in the San Gabriel Valley that I always go to so when I found this place, I was really excited. We were kind of full after dinner and debating what size to get for the 3 of us. Looking through some reviews indicated that the plate was large enough to be shared among 3-4 people so initially, we were going to just get 2 minis, but then ended up getting the plate since that was about the same price and 2 people next to us finished a plate and said it wasn't too bad. We wanted the mango flavor, but they ran out so we got watermelon instead. Pros: 1) Lots of shaved snow flavors and toppings 2) They also have coffee, tea, and some specialty items 3) Very yummy shaved snow. It was very soft and fluffy and I thought it was better than the place I always go in the San Gabriel Valley. Cons: 1) You need to select the plate to have the option to pick 2 flavors. You also have to pay 75 cents to do that. This is kind of restrictive since most people can't or won't really want to solo a plate so by opting for one of the cups, it only allows them to try 1 flavor. 2) You need to pay for each topping and to add drizzle. It would've been nice for us to get like a topping by default or something. 3) There was barely any condensed milk on our plate. read more

Boba & Snow both in the same place!! I definitely had to try it. Everything around Buena Park was closed but good thing Dzert was open. Parking: There is a large parking lot in front of Dzert. Quality: There were so many options to choose from for the snow. I was surprised how big the baby size was. I'm glad my boyfriend and I only ordered one to share. The flavor of the Mango snow was delicious. Our friend ordered the S'mores and he enjoyed the toppings but the chocolate flavor for the snow was very chocolatey and over powering. I ordered a Milk Tea Togo. The milk tea was okay. I wish there was more boba inside. I actually stumbled across this little dessert place by happenstance after randomly walking around the shopping plaza there (I needed to make up for what was one of the worst bowls of ramen I had ever had). Luckily, Dzert cafe was just around the corner. 3.5/5 - Ordered one of their iced lychee tea drinks (about $5-6). The drink itself is pretty standard affair (usual thing of the lychee syrup being a bit more sugary and pronounced than the tea base itself), but I did enjoy the interesting, plastic "can" container it comes with. 4/5 - Also ordered their 10-piece mini Taiyaki dessert ($8.75). I got half red bean and half Nutella. This worked out nicely as the nuttier, sweet flavors of the red bean mellowed out the rich, hazelnut chocolate ones. Found this place after eating dinner with friends and had high expectations due to the great reviews, however it was actually a little disappointing to say the least.. what stands out is their wide variety of flavors and toppings to choose from. However, if you're expecting authentic Korean bingsoo, this place might underwhelm you big time. My bf and I shared their #10 which was Thai tea and green tea snow with almonds, fruity pebbles, mochi and condensed milk. It was a big portion, the price was affordable and the flavors were just like what you would expect of Thai tea and matcha. I found it cloyingly sweet though and actually stopped eating after 5 spoonfuls but that's just a personal preference! I would recommend maybe taking out the condensed milk and adding toppings that are less sweet like fruits and nuts to balance it out. The place felt small, but that's because we were a group of 12! Luckily, we were all able to fit in one of the long tables. I like that they are open til 11 because it allowed my bf and friends to have a fun time playing card games! This place is worth a visit. I had the mango green tea with rainbow jelly and it was good. The tea wasn't bitter and it wasn't overly sweet but still had good flavor. My wife has the brown sugar milk with boba and the boba was soft and chewy plus the drink was a good balance. Definitely would come back to try the desert. read more

OMG found this place purely by accident and it was DELICIOUS - their Snow shaved ice is creamy, light and delicious. We got Mango, Strawberry and Taro and they were all equally amazing. Also the ginger honey tea tasted sooo good - we asked what they put in it expecting some syrup but it's literally honey and real ginger Clean, beautiful and welcoming space, perfect for date nights or catching up with people you love. I love coming here to get shaved snow because they closed my local spots in garden grove/Westminster. The mini size is perfect if you just want one flavor, the next size up is a little too much but I always get it because I like double flavors haha. The other sizes are massive and are meant for sharing probably. prices are reasonable. I also tried their yogurt smoothie which was pretty good but nothing crazy. Id give it a 7.5/10 I've tried Thai tea, passion fruit, mango, lychee, and yogurt snow and they were all so good!! I had lunch in this plaza, so I decided to grab a little drink after the meal here. There was a few tables and chairs for customers and a lot of various pastries. I haven't tried any of their other food items yet, but I had the passion fruit mango green tea since it was starred for being one of the bestsellers. The drink came in this cute clear can which I thought was cool. The drink was not the best drink I have ever had, but it was not bad. The flavors definitely felt slightly artificial but not in a bad way. I want to return for their shaved snow which everyone seems to really like. VEGANS, DO NOT EAT HERE! TLDR: Vegan options are LIES. Had to EpiPen my daughter, Manager didn't care. Before ordering shaved ice, I asked the worker if the vegan flavors had any milk or eggs. He said no. After my daughter picked Mango (Vegan Flavor) and rainbow sprinkles, I asked for confirmation that nothing had milk or eggs because my daughter was allergic. He again said it had none. After my daughter had finished eating the mini size, she got a stuffy nose, had a sneeze attack and started coughing. I decided to get her some Benedryl and we drove towards Target. After she started coughing more and complaining she felt sick, I pulled over and gave her an EpiPen injection. We decided to drive back and waited in the car while I continued to examine my daughter and ask her about the things she's feeling. After she felt better enough, we headed inside. I asked to speak to the manager and asked what ingredients are in the vegan options. He said no milk. I told him that I don't know what's in it or how they're handling it, but it's definitely not true. My daughter started getting an anaphylactic reaction to it. He just said it's water based. I told him that's definitely not true. My daughter is allergic to cows milk and eggs. She wouldn't have an anaphylactic reaction to something else. He didn't offer an apology, nor did he seem to care. He just went back to work like nothing happened. What management tactics. Amazing. Never coming back and advise if you have allergies, or are Vegan, don't come here. They obviously don't care if you have a life threatening reaction. read more

I ordered the taiyaki and was told to wait 10-15min but 30 minutes goes by and I'm still waiting...so naturally im thinking like why is this taking so long. The male worker was in charge of my order but he did NOTHING instead he went to the restroom. I went up to the counter and then had to ask the other worker when my order would be ready...the female worker finally had to check up o bc my order and she started finishing up to make my taikyaki.
