She was very attentive and nice and would switch out our grills without asking. Also would refill our sauces frequently. The cuts of meat here are pretty good and fresh. They also have many many options to choose from which I like. They also have unlimited side dishes like steamed egg, soybean soup, corn cheese and more. I would recommend ordering more of those for big groups as they can take a bit of time to come. The meat and other side dishes come pretty quickly. The brisket and short ribs here are my favorite. Overall, good service by the waitress but at the end of our meal there was a lady who kept staring at our table. (probably to get us to leave lol). We enjoyed the food from E. M. Bop's Duluth location. In a city filled with great Korean restaurant options, I'm not sure E. M. Bop really does much to differentiate itself. It's simply another solid Korean restaurant with good food and good service. While E. M. Bop serves Korean BBQ, the restaurant's menu is actually quite well-rounded. E. M. Bop encompasses a little bit of everything. This is E. M. Bop's second location. It opened about a year ago, August 2019, in Pleasant Hill Station, the strip with Vincent Bakery and What the Pho near the Duluth H Mart. While I think E. M. Bop is one of the best, if not *the* best, Korean restaurants in Alpharetta (where the original location is), I can't say the same for this location for the obvious reason: there's a lot of competition for Korean food in Gwinnett. When the original E. M. Bop opened in 2016, it didn't offer Korean BBQ, at least not cooked on grills at the table. I suspect that's one reason why E. M. Bop has a more comprehensive menu than other Korean BBQ restaurants; they didn't start out as a Korean BBQ restaurant. During our visit to this location, the restaurant still looked new. You can tell it's cut in the customary Korean family-style restaurant mold, but it's like the next generation. Simply put, it's got a contemporary flair to it. Typical of Korean restaurants, tables in the main dining room are separated with partitions. There are semi-private rooms for bigger groups. E. M. Bop is relatively spacious and it looks like it would be a good spot for events like birthday parties. While we were there, a projector displayed K-pop music videos on the wall in the big room. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we decided to order takeout instead of dining in. Like most Korean restaurants in Duluth, E. M. Bop doesn't have a patio. Lunch and dinner menus are available on the restaurant's website at http://embop.com/. When I called in my order, prices on the website differed slightly from what I was told on the phone (about $1-2 per dish). Staple items included Korean pancakes (multiple varieties, about $10-14 each), Korean fried chicken ($9), bibimbap (mixed rice, $13-14), noodles ($11-13), and traditional soups and stews ($12-15). The BBQ menu appeared to be fairly typical, featuring mostly beef and pork options ($17-36 per type, a la carte) plus some chicken and seafood. They had four set meat combos ($80-190 per combo) and three unlimited all-you-can-eat (AYCE) options as well ($26, $29, or $34 per person). Here's what we got: * A3. Korean Style Kimchi Pancake ($9.99) * B1. Bulgogi Bibimbap ($9.99) - traditional Korean marinated beef served with corn, carrots, spinach, bean sprouts, bracken (fern), mushrooms, and a sunny-side-up egg * N3. Hamhung Cold Naengmyeon ($12.99) - noodles with cold beef broth, beef brisket, and vegetables * N4. Hamhung Bibim Naengmyeon ($12.99) - noodles with spicy sauce, beef brisket, and vegetables (also with cold broth) Overall, the food was good. We liked everything. Each dish was packed thoughtfully and presented beautifully; just take a look at my pictures. They included banchan (side dishes) which consisted of kimchi, spicy vinegared cucumber (thick slices), savory fish cake with sliced bell peppers, and julienned potato with green pepper and pork sausage. Yum. The Kimchi Pancake was delicious. It was nice and deep red-orange in color. Generous portions. Hot off the grill with some burn marks too. The pancake was served with a delectable soy-and-vinegar-based dipping sauce. Very tasty. The Bulgogi Bibimbap was filling and satisfying. This is a Korean comfort food that's hard to go wrong with and really hits the spot. The meat quality was A-OK. I would've preferred the beef to be a bit juicier and more flavorful, but generally speaking, this was a fine bibimbap with a nice variety of fresh and colorful ingredients. I especially liked amount of crunchy, yummy bracken provided. We love Naengmyeon, especially in the summertime, and E. M. Bop made decent, though not our favorite, versions. These noodles were prepared Hamhung-style and came with thin, white noodles (mixed with potato starch, I think) instead of the menu-described, darker, chewier, and thicker buckwheat noodles. The noodles are different in terms of taste and texture. I prefer the darker, chewier noodles. Aside from that, take-home E. M. Bop's take-home naengmyeon worked out well. Good ingredient quality and the addicting broths and sauces were served separately. Not mentioned on the menu, each bowl came with half a hard-boiled egg and sliced cucumber and Korean radish. Service was fantastic. The staff who served us were older Korean ladies. We arrived about 30 minutes after placing our order and it was packed and ready to go. I paid in person. The lady who served us inside the restaurant was about to check my temperature with a temperature gun until I told her we weren't there to dine-in, but to pick up. The "E. We were a family of 6 coming in from out of town..we were thrilled before we entered of the 24.99 "bait" special... It took a while to first get recognized that we needed to be seated..when this happens I usually leave but we were excited to try them..well to our surprise we found out that when the first order is placed your time starts..yes you read this right..your 90 minutes of eating time begins..here is the other irritating thing that happen..if one person orders seafood everyone has to pay $5 more..so instead it was $29.99.. in between ordering our meats to grilled, the service was horrible..the servers took a while to come back to check on the table..it was as though they wanted the time to lapse..we had a retired vet with us and my elderly aunt who had to rush and eat..the food was not the best and the shrimp was old. This is my favorite KBBQ place! I've been to many but this is by far the best. I took my friend from Germany here and it was his first time having KBBQ. He loved it so of course we came back again during his visit. We got the all you can eat and our favorite is short ribs and the pork belly. They have so many choices of meats and seafood that you can choose from, the most options I've seen any KBBQ place offer. We love the corn cheese!!! Most KBBQ places don't offer the corn cheese which is also one of the reasons why I only come here. I have been to this spot so many times that the workers recognize me. The workers here are very nice and attentive to every table in the restaurant. You are able to ask any of the servers if you need anything. It's a perfect environment to come with a group of friends, date night, or just catching up with someone. I would come here a lot after soccer games so around 11 pm and we would come in a group of 8. They always seat us quickly and make sure we are taken care of. If you come during normal eating hours, I would definitely recommend making reservations as they can get very busy. I came here based upon recommendations from others for AYCE KBBQ. My partner and I had dinner here on a busy, late Wednesday night. We ordered: * Beef brisket * Beef bulgogi * Honey pork belly * Garlic pork belly * Cajun shrimp * EM Bop short ribs * Beef tartare * Egg custard * Corn cheese For drinks, we both ordered soda. I got a Coca Cola and he ordered a Sprite. To our surprise, we were handed bottled sodas instead of canned! It was a very nice touch and not to be overlooked. The restaurant seemed clean. The music was a bit loud, but not obnoxiously so. My partner and I were still able to talk to each other across the table and hold a conversation with no problem. I always come into a KBBQ place expecting to grill my own meat, so that doesn't offset me at all. Although I did the majority of the grilling, the servers occasionally stopped by to help. My table never had an issue with asking for more meats/sides as the servers were very attentive and friendly. They did not rush us to order more meats and allowed us to enjoy our food. The grills use charcoal and were smokeless. They were changed very frequently. Everything we ordered was delicious, and the banchan were pretty good as well. There is an automatic 20% gratuity charge for AYCE which doesn't bother me, since I normally tip 20% anyways. However, my partner was so impressed by the service that he tipped even more. So it could be that I'm in shock of all the rules and requirements that ATL area restaurants seem to enforce, but this is getting out of hand. How do they get away with this? Atlanta and the surrounding area restaurants need to do better. And before I dive in to my experience with this restaurant, let me tell you about the "contract" we had to agree to before dining. 1) If you want to dine AYCE, you can't dine by yourself. It has to be two or more. 2) If you dine by yourself, then you must order a la carte. Their a la carte items start around $20. I recall some items as high as $60. So it's best to bring a friend. 3)There's an automatic 20% gratuity on your bill (typical ATL ish) and this takes away from their sign outside that says $24.99 AYCE. You'll end up owing another 20% in gratuity. Even if you are solo and order a la carte, you have to pay the automatic 20% gratuity! 4) We (6-person table) came for the lunch "bait" special of $24.99 AYCE but there's only certain items you can get for lunch. If you want other AYCE items like beef tartare, for example, it's considered a dinner item. So everyone at the table has to pay for a dinner AYCE price versus a lunch AYCE price just so that you can order beef tartare during lunch. 5) There's a 90-minute time limit from the first time the first order goes into their computer, not from the first time your order arrives. And that time limit is for EVERYONE at the table. 6) During your 90 minutes, they rarely come by to check on your table so you're more inclined to order a bunch of food that you and your table may not be able to eat. 7) But you better not order too much out of your concerns of them not visiting your table often. If you order over what your table can eat, they will charge you $5.99/oz (yes, ounce not pounds) of meat and seafood leftover on your table. Crazy, huh? I don't think I need to add anything else. But I will... They don't have the regular sauces that you would use for Korean BBQ such as gochujang (?), basic sesame oil, fresh garlic cloves, bok choy, etc. I asked the waiter for the Korean pepper sauce (gochujang - I think I'm jacking up the spelling. I apologize if so.) and they brought ground black pepper in a shaker to the table, like the ones from dried peppercorns. I'll never go back there. Matter of fact, there's only a few restaurants my family and I will patronize in ATL and surrounding areas because of the bare minimum quality of food and ridiculously poor customer service. read more

We came in for lunch and was surprised at their great price of $24.99 for AYCE. They had plenty of great options on their menu. Our table's favorites were the garlic pork belly, garlic pork steak, and the beef brisket. Their sides and sauces make it my new favorite kbbq spot. Some places now charge extra for cheese corn, but not this place! The service was also great. My new go-to K-BBQ! Prices are competitive for AYCE Korean BBQ and they have a very large selection of meats to choose from. The inside looks clean and is a cool place to eat. It is well ventilated and spacious. While I was there, there were a lot of patrons. Older and younger. Casual and business. Small and large families. Diverse, too. They seemed slightly short staffed but like I said, there were a lot of people. We still had prompt service. Prompt as can be for as many full tables there were. The meat was good, however if you don't like dark meat chicken, I would stay away from the chicken. It's thigh meat and I can't stand thigh meat. They won't give you more meat until you finish what you have. That's the only down. If you don't like something, they won't really let you trade it out. I will be returning soon! read more

We got there at 12:30am and they were not short on anything, we got the full service and everything was fresh. They're open until 3:00am! There was a couple sitting across from us who came in after us, and they already have their banchan set out on the table.. only took like 30 minutes for us after sitting down to get that. I get that they ordered entree dishes instead of the bbq, but that just looks like a first bad impression. Time keeps ticking and 15 minutes later we get our meats and banchan. When we looked at the brisket we can see the discoloration from the meat being frozen and defrosted over time. Meh, at least it was a decent presentation. The food overall was okay, nothing special. After we start digging in for the meats, the server brought out a stew and steamed egg. Now I love my steamed egg, and when I took a spoonful of that egg and put it in my mouth, all I noticed was that it was lukewarm and not even piping hot. That's a no for me. And once my group began to start slowing down, the server brought us a small Busan Noodle for each of us. It's a cold dish that needs to be seasoned to your liking with mustard and/or vinegar. In my opinion, I still thought it was bland and not my favorite. Overall the servers do frequently check your meats and cook them for you which was better than most places. I'm surprisingly shocked how good the food and the service was for being open until 3 AM. I came here around 1:30 AM expecting pretty bad service like Waffle House. However, I was completely wrong. I was being served by three different servers and all my meats, side dishes, and drinks came out extremely fast. All I did was order beef brisket, and the flavor of all the sauces were exceptional. Even all the side dishes they have to offer tasted amazing and had a lot of a authentic Korean flavor. The atmosphere of the place felt like I was in a barbecue place in Korea.
