On the day of the move the guys arrived right on time, gave me a call prior to arriving and were very polite. i already had big items packed and forgot about the small things in each room. This review is long overdue!! I moved on October 5th from Agoura hills to Calabasas. Short review: Amazing moving crew, long day because I have a large home with guest house. Everyone wore masks and they had hand sanitizer. They disinfect their trucks daily. They were very considerate of my family and belongings. The movers put down floor protectors. I had tons of fragile items including paintings, mirrors, and more. Not a single item broke. They even found a wedding ring I have been looking for for years and gave it back to me. Very honest movers. Long review: I haven't moved in 18 years and things have changed since I last hired movers. I did a long search to find the right movers. What I liked right away is that Julie was very patient with me. I called her plenty of times and each time she gave me advice and answered all my questions. Not once did she try to hurry me. I felt comfortable the office was genuinely trying to help me. Essentially I wasn't looking just for the cheapest priced mover. I wanted a professional mover and if it cost more I was fine with that. My items were not cheap so I needed someone who knew how to handle them. As I was browsing through yelp I came across a lot of companies who didn't really care to ask enough questions. After going through different companies I saw E Movers was experienced in large moves including homes, offices and warehouses. My home was 5000 square feet plus my guest house and pool house. So I knew I was making the right choice. Fast forward to move day the main foreman James did a thorough walk through and managed his crew excellently. Everyone knew what to do and no one stood around. They didn't even take a lunch break until late in the day, after I insisted. I ended buying everyone delicious subs from a local deli shop. Apparently the movers don't like pizza because it's offered to often. We needed 10 movers and 4 trucks. The movers were all uniformed. Everyone wore masks. All of my items were properly packed. Furniture was wrapped in moving blankets. The fragile items were bubble wrapped and had cardboard around them for extra protection. They used one truck specifically for the fragile items to make sure they were safe. Overall I am very happy with my choice. Save yourself the time and go with E Movers. I needed movers in a pinch and these guys were very responsive. I was quoted on the job to be around their minimum charge of four hours. When I directly asked for an estimate on the quote, I was told "it really shouldn't be more than $600". The movers were polite and friendly, but they were much, much slower than other crews I have worked with in the past. They went over that four hour minimum and also charged me extra for paying with a credit card instead of just happening to have $1000 in cash on hand? At the end of the day, my stuff got here safely, but the office team really oversold an under delivered on the value. My final bill was $1100. Not as advertised on price, so beware. Our original movers cancelled on us and E Movers was available the next day, so we went with them. The office manager was very responsive and the movers showed up on time and were courteous and professional. They moved all of our stuff without incident. Our complaint right after the move was that we were not told in advance the prices for the materials to wrap our stuff. I mentioned this to the manager at the time who did not respond to my complaint. However, unexpectedly, the new manager called me many months after our move and wanted to make the situation right. She told me that she was the new manager and that they had an entirely new crew and new operations, including making pricing transparent, which had been an issue before. I was pleased to hear all of this and so if we move again, I can say that we will try E Movers again and I can recommend the company. read more

The owners were not on site when when their employee made threats against my family so they have zero clue if it happened or not! As for not giving out my information to another company that is a bold faced lie because the owner of that company told me exactly where he got my information and mentioned your name and company specifically. Julie is on here left and right arguing with people about their experience (I believed her and booked them) Just be a stand up company and you won't have to devote so much time to clean up. And yes, Michael twisted my husbands words and threw out the word extortion getting super huffy, at which point, I had to calm Michael down. One more thing I should not have had to do. I had also tried to avoid listing prices to protect the company. The $500 mentioned was the discount they gave us. Our math had them coming in at $1500, that's with moving and unpacking the whole house. They came in just under $2000 and did a third of the expected job. You can't tell me that to move a 1200 sqft home 5 miles is a $4000 job and remember, they only did the garage. ------------------- It has been 4 weeks to the day that we hired this "company". I have not received a call back regarding questions I had. I have not received my final invoice. What I have received is a whole lot of stress & grief for the way this company packed my boxes and the damaged items that we now need to replace. In our original discussion and time estimate, they were going to take care of the whole house and garage, plus a stop at storage. We decided to try and save ourselves a little money and do most of it ourselves, knowing the garage was a big project, so we moved almost all furniture and all personal items the day before. When they arrived, we asked them to focus on the garage and the few remaining shelves in the house. So much for saving time or money - our bill came in over $500 more than what was discussed as a roughly estimated price (doesn't sound horrible, right?) Wrong - remember that we had moved most everything from the inside of the house! They never made it to storage and did not unpack any of the boxes or wrapped furniture. It likely would have been $2,000 more than projected had we let them keep working to completion. When we called the owner, Michael - astonished at how little had been done, especially for the price, we were told many times that it was our responsibility to supervise his movers. Talk about taking ZERO responsibility. To be done with the back and forth, we agreed upon a slightly reduced cash price and in exchange, we would not write a bad review. Well Michael, then the following happened and you lost our respect as a company entirely and our "no review" deal became null in void. The movers would not unload our items from the truck until we handed them the cash envelope. From that moment, I have never been so disrespected by a company as I was by their foreman. He made comments, such as "don't even think about asking us to do anything extra, if you're not going to pay your full bill". The extra he was referring to was that they had not yet moved our backyard furniture to the backyard. Comments to my husband - "What's the matter, can't afford to pay us?" HERE IS THE GOLD. THE MOVERS DROVE AWAY, LEAVING ALL OF OUR BACKYARD FURNITURE ON THE FRONT LAWN. We immediately called the office. Julie claimed that she was working on getting ahold of them, but I never heard back from anyone. and no one came to fix it. I have not received a phone call since. I have not received a detailed invoice. Word to the wise Michael, when someone can write such a horrible review using only facts from the day and quotes from your own employees mouths, you're not doing it right. No slander, no aggression or emotion, simple facts. You should not be in business. Customer Service is your responsibility alone - and to state that it is the customer's responsibility to supervise your movers, really brings this one star review to a new low and truly, you should be ashamed of what you're running over there. Other fun facts: * Items that we were told by the foreman would not need to be boxed (because they themselves were in boxes) were boxed into large boxes, incurring unnecessary box charges. * Prepacked cardboard boxes were aggressively taped, while antique glass pieces were left unprotected and thrown in the bottom of a large wardrobe box. * Collectively, about 45 minutes of time was wasted by the foreman, because he wanted to keep updating me with all the things he didn't think would fit in the truck. Each time, I simply asked - can we do the best we can and discuss it when we are closer to capacity? Many of the conversations happened when the truck was only half full or less. Part of the service was to unpack everything that they had packed up, but to avoid more unnecessary costs, we said we would do that ourselves. SO GLAD we did. Short review: 100% Not Covid-safe. Also, just plain jerks. I gave them a nice tip, they gave me a lot of unwanted fluids. Specifically, they left urine in my brand-new, unused toilet, and didn't flush, so my brand-new house smelled like urine when I got inside. They also left some blood on my mattress, and a couple of half-empty red bulls, and later I found out they tore my mattress protector and broke one of my totes. Also, neither of them wore gloves. Long review: I had another company (SOS) cancel last-minute, and E Movers were the only company available, and they gouged me for it - $125/hr for 2 guys, no truck... and then they started hitting me up with hidden fees, like a $75 'gas charge' despite there not being a truck, and a $50 'walking charge' despite the fact that I was moving from one building to another in the same apartment complex. They also wanted to charge me $20 for a mattress cover, but I avoided that by getting a reusable one of my own at Target for $11. I thought at the very least I'd get professional service, but no, I got two amateurs. One guy didn't speak English, but at least he kept working. His partner spoke English fine, but made the other guy do all the work and took 5 breaks in 3 hours and spent most of the time on his cell phone. Literally the first thing they did was compliment my reusable mattress cover, then they grabbed it to hard and tore it open - Guess it isn't reusable anymore. They were disorganized despite getting clear directions, and they seems to go out of their way to leave behind as much of a mess as possible, even going to far as to open up sealed containers of packing peanuts and just dumped them on the floor. Despite this, it was the holidays, and they technically got the bare minimum I required done, so I gave them a nice tip...and then I found all the 'surprises' they left behind. .. ..First thing I noticed was the strong smell of urine. My new unit was literally just built from the ground up, and I'd never used the bathroom in it, but one of my movers took the time to urinate all over the toilet and floor. He even left some pubic hairs behind, which was just nauseating. When I was putting sheets on my bed, I noticed that one of them apparently cut themselves and left a blood stain on my bed. Both great choices in the time of covid. I also found they snapped the handles off of one of my totes and didn't tell me, I just found the handle later. I also found that they trashed my old unit, leaving behind half-empty soda cans and dumped out a lot of packing peanuts that had been in a sealed container before they decided to open it and play around. Moving is hard enough, the last thing you want is a couple for lazy guys who over-charge you and then pee all over your stuff. Don't end up like me, if your 1st choice of movers cancels, don't settle for scam-artists who will rip you off, you'll spend less money of you just stay at your old place an extra day and do it right. Your movers were not asked to "pack" our house, it was packed and my family members took all of the stuff not boxed. It is 12 steps down and another 15-20 to where the truck was parked. You had zero appliances to move and only main bedroom furniture sans a bed in the bedroom. The majority left was 2 pc desks, couch, chair, end tables and a few small pieces, i.e., a couple of cabinets, bunch of boxes, etc. My husband informed me that they wrapped of unnecessay items is what took such a long time. Nothing like that was ever stated to me upon scheduling the move. $3500.00 to move items that should not taken more then 2-3 hours plus an hour drive to Santa Clarite (did that drive for years). I fell you ripped us seniors off rather than asking what you could do to keep costs lower. It is a moot point now as it has been 6 months since the move and water under the bridge. Unfortunately, we are still paying the move off and struggling with a monthly payment. Shame on you for doing what you did to a handicapped senior couple. My cousin needed help moving to his new place. Originally, I thought we could do it ourselves, but a friend recommended E Movers. I thought we needed 2 trucks for trips since we needed to haul out some fitness equipment, furniture, appliances, and boxes from his home and garage, but that's not how it turned out. The movers didn't need to disassemble everything. The team moved a lot of items as a whole unit. The truck they brought in was bigger than most standard moving trucks, which saved a LOT OF TIME because they loaded all of our items into one truck. Additionally, the mover who packed the truck did an incredible job making sure everything fit (They must've played a lot of Tetris in high school). The movers went in and made sure to wrap and package each item carefully while cautiously taking them out of his home. They all listened to my cousin's concerns about certain items and the care he wanted for them. We paid a reasonable price and It was great to have professionals move the things over. We were pleased to experience no hidden or additional fees after the move. Everything was told to us up front and in our email confirmation. When we arrived to the new home, we stayed until all the items were unloaded and found that there was nothing missing nor damaged. We were glad all of the items made it to the destination. A lot of shady actions going on behind the scenes. Many lies were told and a lot of miscommunication as well, to us and about us. The movers we had were amazing, a bit slow but understandable due to the amount of stuff we had. They do charge per wrap, blanket, and tape they use so be aware of that if you decided to go with this company. On the first day, Monday, the guys worked a full day due to the amount of stuff that we had. We had to make two trips. Towards the night, the guy driving the truck asked us if they could come back the next day to unload or the second load, as the guys were exhausted and it was a long day. We asked if our items would be safe and in a locked place, and they said yes. The driver then promised us that we would have our items first thing in the morning, Tuesday. Rates and money were also discussed and we had told them that this move was more expensive than we were planning on (about 3500 for the first day with added on fees for supplies and overtime) we told them we had $2000 that day and would get the rest to them when we could. As they were coming the next day, we would have it to them then. Tuesday rolled around and no word from anyone. We waited until 10 am, then waited for a few more hours. Finally, we called the office, upset as they had the items that we needed and there was no communication. Words were said, as we were upset to have been lied to. To us, it felt as if they were keeping our items, but due to us not knowing about the miscommunication that was said the previous night, we did not know what was going on. We then talked to the manager and he explained that he told our driver that they would only be able to come Wednesday. The issue we had with that is that we were told by the man in charge, the driver on Monday, Tuesday morning. So we were expecting to have our items then. Obviously, we understand being fully booked but some transparency would have been appreciated and we would have been less upset if they had just said Wednesday on the first night of our move. Wednesday rolls around and the guys came at around 10 am. They waited a bit and made some phone calls. As I stated before, fees had been discussed and we had told the manager (as well as the foreman from the first night) that we would have the money as soon as possible. Apparently, the manager had told our movers that we were not going to pay them, so instead of reversing into the driveway like they said they were going to, they drove away with all of our stuff and headed back to base. We had never said we were not going to pay them, we had to come up with the money and the manager said we could give it to him by Friday (we planned on giving it to them as soon as we could). They were told to go back to base and to come back when we had the money. No one from my family had said we were not going to pay. Ever. The movers then explained they had a move a few months ago where someone was threatening not to pay, and I get wanting to protect your business. Respectable, however, not when words are getting put into our mouths on something we never said. They came back with our stuff at around 11 am and we finally started to unload. We were told as they were finishing up that our time had started at 10 am even though they were told to go back to base. They were finished in about 2 hours, and we did not know that there was a 4-hour minimum for the day. The total for this day was $2727 (or $1227 if added from the first day's $3500). For a total of $4727. Overall, the men who helped us move were so nice and a great help. I wouldn't say this company is a rip-off, but I would advise spending more than what is quoted. There was definitely confusion amongst all parties and a lack of communication. I am not blaming anyone for anything, but I do want to let other people know about our situation. read more

We used Ez Moving Services with our recent move to Menifee. They moved our stuff from storage to our home. First off, I really appreciated how their staff answered the phone right away to make an appointment. Second, Ethan emailed a confirmation a few days ahead, which I really liked as it took a little stress of moving off. The movers were a little late as we waited for them at the storage facility, but when they got there, they were quick and efficient. They were a happy bunch and worked hard. For our move, we had four guys and a truck. They used a Penske truck. I thought they had their own trucks, but apparently not. For four guys and a truck, it ran around $200 an hour, which included departure from their facility and travel time back. There is a $55 fuel charge as well. We were very happy with our move. They were quick. There was a bit of confusion for time charged at the end, but it was worked out. Ethan was very gracious when I called him and it was worked out. I would recommend! read more

My wife and I found e-movers online and decided to go with them for our move. We had a nightmare of a move with a different company 3 years ago and did not want to have a repeat. Once E-movers sent over disclosures for us to sign, while they may be standard, they left me uneasy. The insurance is 60 cents per pound so basically non existent and points out repeatedly they are not responsible for damages. It also says to keep all alcohol, valuables, etc away from the movers. So basically, no insurance and don't trust our people. I get that this may be them just being cautious but I emailed asking about the possibility for more insurance if I pay for it and as a chance for them to reply and let me know they have good, professional movers to put my mind at ease but they just decided to ghost my email and not respond. Skinny Wimp Moving Co was more expensive but made us feel more secure. The move went great with them and we are glad we did not go with E movers if they cannot respond to a concern. read more

If you want to BURN money, get ripped off and be the victim of extortion these are the guys! I called and the man, Mike, said it would be $175 an hour for 2 guys plus double the time for travel no hiddens fees and $125/hour if I paid cash. I told him it was a 1 bedroom apartment with no kitchen and only a few prepacked boxes. He said that would be a quick move but they do charge a 3 hour minimum. The movers came and were extremely slow! They did not listen to what I said including, taking to the truck things I said I was taking to my car, my empty boxes, my purse with my keys in it and over shrink wrapping and moving things that I said was staying. When we arrived to destination, they again were slow, it was taking so long I started moving things in myself and had them place most things in the carport the move took about 5 hours with 30 minute travel time. Then they show me the bill, $1400! They tried to say the used boxes that they did not use, 7 rolls of tape at $10 a roll, many rolls of shrink wrap and 3 crates. I included a picture of what they were trying to say was a crate. I did not have that much cash and they would not except partial credit card, they wanted all on credit card plus an additional fee of $350 to use a credit card but would wait for me to go to the bank. I went to the bank and called the company and was told the managers were not available. I was so upset and had a minute to think about it so when I came back I told them I would give them the more fairly agreed apon price in cash and I'd take the rest up with the manager when he returned my call. At that point the movers call the office and the woman tells me I had to pay or they would not leave she then asked the movers for my address and said she was calling the police. I thought that was a great idea. So I went back into the house and waited. They then came back as family arrived (2 men) and the movers told me they would except $1000 cash. My family asked what was going on, I explained, he asked to see the "crating" and it was obviously laughable. The tone changed and I paid them $850. PAID IN FULL. It was still way too much for such a small move and there are pieces from the bed missing. read more

OMG! I have had such a great experience with this moving company! I found E Movers on Yelp. I requested a quote and got a response with a quote within 1-2 hours. My moving job was super short and only required 2 hours, and they honored my time frame, which was amazing because all other companies I looked into had a 3 hour minimum. I'm sorry Jessica, I understand that you want to drum up more business to say that my PTSD made me unable to handle the E movers. The truth is your not a good company the missionary's help a great deal your movers were not on the ball, my apt. Was 2 bedroom and your company could not even get me out of the apt in 4 hours the rain. Yes it rained but your movers should have had me out long before, I was not told of a 4th mover by your foreman and Michael never gave me a form for reimbursement a week after my complaint you of all people know this. You say your insured but you don't cover all the items you damage. Not to worry we will iron this out. I'm so sorry you felt it would be okay to stoop to this level. read more

I called e-movers to do a relatively small moving job (10 large items and 6 totes) 3 miles on December 2nd 2022. The (co-owner) Mike quoted me 2 hours with 2 guys for the job. On moving day the two guys arrived on time looking at the scope of what was needed to be moved. The first red flag was the lead guy spent about 30-45 minutes writing contract agreement, despite already doing an e-sign via email with the company. He mentioned he doesn't care about that contract as it has nothing to do with him. The second red flag was while I was reading marking the differences between the first contract and the second, I inquired about the pads. He said the pads are included. I said looking at this contract they are not part of the initial quote. He said I have no choice on if I want the pads. they are needed as part of their insurance and I have no choice. I said ok breach of contract then and stop what you are doing and get out of my house we are done I do not want anything. At that time the owner Jessica came in to check up on the progress. I said I am not paying for pads you can keep them. She was very nice and mentioned ok we will take our pads back and not charge you. The mover started taping my already sealed totes with 3 loops of tape on both sides of the tote to make sure it doesn't open. They of course give 2 rolls free but charge 10 bucks a role after. We are now well over an hour into this and haven't moved a single item. After a very long painfully watching them from nickel and dime me. Each item charge I questioned the lead guy was very argumentative for everything. Once we arrived to the destination the lead estimated 5 hours for the whole job and mentioned he was giving me a break since I had issues with the price. Keep in mind 10 large pieces and 6 totes was 5 hours at 160 per hour. The lead started filling out the rest of the agreement at the destination before unloading. in addition to the 5 hours I needed to pay to and from destination adding 4 hours bringing a total of 9 hours for 10 large pieces and 6 totes. I told him I am not paying his commute, whos to say he didn't drive from San Diego so he can pound sand that's not my responsibility. I said get your boss on the phone. He put him on speaker and after he was talking to Mike they decided to only charge me for the 6 miles (to and from) since I had an issue with the cost. After the move I was so irritated I choose to wait till after the weekend to follow up about requesting a receipt of what I paid. The driver said they will give me a receipt later (really shady). I called Monday morning and spoke with Mike (co-owner) and he said sure I will have them send you a receipt. waited 4 days and called the office and spoke with a lady that also said she will send a receipt. Went through the same process three more times but never received my receipt that I signed from the movers. Even after being told each time they will send it. I even gave another email in case there was an issue with the original that I signed the e-sign with. I never leave any Yelp reviews and probably would have just let it be if I received a receipt like I was told 5 times on the phone by both the co-owner (Mike) and the unknown lady on the phone. I am not able to leave a rating less than 1 star from the experience I've received. The entire experience was stressful, shady, and probably borderline illegal. Still on the fense on if I want to report them to the BBB. Anyone needing a mover I will certainly be vocal about my experience. Consider yourself warned people. read more

I was a bit nervous about hiring movers because I've always just done it myself. To the point, Meest was fantastic from beginning to end! Mike answered all my questions - honest and straight-forward. He was excellent at telling me what to expect in all areas. The movers showed up and I wondered if they'd "screw around" because they're paid by the hour. Nope. The best moving experience I've had hands down! Mike and his team of movers were amazing. They made a stressful situation for me so easy and enjoyable. The guys moved my stuff at an amazing pace of time and did so with such care. I had some fragile items (i.e. standing mirror, lamps, etc) and they took extra care with it. As you can see in the pics they wrapped everything so nicely and placed everything in such an organized manner. They were so respectful and caring. I decided to revise my original review after really thinking about it abd continuing to unpack abd finding things missing abd frankly I'm pissed about it. Tge first 2 things I found that they either kept or threw out was a lamp and a brand new fan and I called the office the next day and explained that and how they begged for a 5 on yelp, to fet reimbursed for those items I needed to give a 5 star review and I felt prepared so I did it so this is the updated version Stay far away from this company you will pay 2 to 3 tomes what you think you will and they will slow walk or milk the clock and take their time my crew consisted of George, David and Phillip and George walking in to a 2 bedroom I moved from already had it taking 8 to 10 hours and 99% of things were packed they just needed to move furniture and the packed boxed, and it should only take 5 hours for the move but it took over 9 and I even left things and went back the next day same furniture I had moved before only took 5 hours so I don't know why it took 9 hours. George actually had the nerve to ask if I could go buy them drinks without me even offering like they are already ripping me off and they want me to go get them drinks what nerve of them . They also left 2 things wrapped in plastic that I had to cut the plastic myself and it was furniture They charge you for everything tape they use plastic charge you for stairs and they are a bit rude also, I got paid $100 for my lamp and fan and now I'm missing a couple hundred more Dollard in stuff either they threw away or stole. Again don't use this company worst moving experience ever. read more

I called several moving companies for a quote before I called E Movers. From the minute I spoke to them they were very different than the other companies. They were very professional and willing to work with my every moving needs and dates. The crew itself was very professional efficient and pleasant to work with. They did the job very professional and hassle free and without any damage of the furniture. Being 6 people in the family we have a lot of stuff and these guys got it done in no time.
