They suggested days/times they can come in and were easy to schedule with. We communicated mostly using the Yelp app and everything was communicated well and clearly. They gave an estimate and scope of work as our home warranty company required and they delivered. They did a good job (replaced the springs and did alignment to ensure it's working properly.) Fantastic! So impressed with the service, customer service, and product from ES garage doors. Here's a few substantiating reasons I loved their service: The owner replied very quickly to my yelp inquiry and even responded to me after hours. He gave me an estimate in the yelp message to the best of his ability sight unseen. His estimate was accurate after he came to do the repair and he kept to his word about pricing. The pricing was not only fair but really reasonable. He completed the work in under 40 minutes and was forthcoming about the cost of the repair upfront. Nothing changed after the work was done. I am extremely pleased with ES garage door service. My situation was a broken spring and he was one of the first to show up and promptly repair my "emergency," with more than fair costs for labor and materials. Can't thank him enough! One of the those things you don't want to have to mess with....but when you do, was sure nice having these guys help me: I'm writing this review literally 24 hours after messaging them for the first time, and it's all fixed: Garage door LED light was broken and door moving slowly. I called these folks around 6pm at night, and got an almost immediate response from David who said we can either fix or replace, and have someone there between 8-9 am. the next morning. (No waiting a week til they had the time.) Their tech Jonathan showed up right on time, (who has been doing this for over 3 years and puts in new garage openers all day long, immediately diagnosed my issue, and determined that I had broken springs. He drove to Home Depot, bought me a new opener, came back an installed it, added a new keypad to the garage, helped me program both openers, and then hauled away my old stuff. All in under 3 hours. I'm not satisfied. They fixed my garage door but I argued with them a lot. Here is my story: We hit the garage door accidentally, only 2 panels of garage door was out of shape. I contacted 2 garage company on Thumbtack, didn't contact ES garage door actually. But a technical from ES garage Inc called me and told me someone would come in 2 hours. The technical told me he could fix the door to make it close/open, with $800. I told him it's too expensive, I'd replace a new one if we need to pay $800 to just fix the door. Then the technical told me he could give a discount to me, do the work for $500. I told him I actually showed the picture to some else and they just quote $200. The technical talked a lot how he would do it better, and he could go with $450. I saw he's a young man and why not give him this business, then I agreed and told him I want to fix the panel as flat/straight as possible. I need to say he worked on my garage roughly, and dropped his tools on the ground roughly, I really didn't like the way. After he put the door back on the track, he used his hand/foot to punch/kick the panel, and told me that's what he could do. I was thinking what?? come on, I can use my hand/foot to that too?? Then he told me I need to install a struct to keep the door straight, with $150. I didn't want to invest more, so I said no. He asked me close/open the door with the controller, I did, but the door could not close entirely. He worked on the opener and told me there is some issue with the opener, I need to get a new opener, otherwise I need to operate the door manually. I was totally pissed off, because I saw he didn't do his best and keep asking me spend more money. He's off-putting, telling me his job is fixing the door instead of the opener, if I want to make it work just replace the opener. I was very angry and told him I asked to fix the door, and the opener was working before his work, I wouldn't pay unless the garage door works as before. He called his manager David, we argued the same thing, I told I would definitely not pay for service like this. David talked with the young technical, after 5 minutes, they fixed the opener and told me there is a configuration in opener that needs more force to close the door. At this point, I even didn't want to argue making the panel flat. They talked about the struct again but I denied their proposal, at least not today because they lost my trust. I appreciated they can come and work on it quickly, but I really don't like this service. The price changing was fine, but I didn't see they're doing their best to fix the door, once they got my business, they're off-putting and keep asking you to buy new part and spend more money. Last, I really don't understand why they asked me to replace the opener while they can change the force configuration to make it work in 5 minutes. Some follow up to David's reply: David called me to explain their work. But I'm confused when David said the technical is not from ES garage door Inc, but another service company. Can you post the company name where the technical's really from? If the technical is not from ES garage door, why David had my number and called me and when I asked the technical to call his manager and he called David. David said they don't have a service record for me. I need to say, the technical told me if I pay by check I need to pay 10% tax and 3% transaction fee, if I pay cash he could not give me receipt. I was thinking why not pay cash and save 13%, so I just gave the technical cash after the work. I want to say more about my opener. The technical detached the door from the opener and attached the door back, but when he tried to attach the door, he didn't attach the door correctly and the opener moved future than normal. Then he tried again to attach the door, then the door was not able to close entirely. I'm not a specialist, I don't know did that hurt my opener. But I want to emphasis, the technical was off-putting, didn't try to fix the door at first place, and was trying to sell unnecessary product/service to me. Adam was awesome! Straight forward pricing, almost upsold me but ultimately I got what I needed. My door was stuck because of a broken door bracket and I ended up getting new springs and cables amongst other things and it was done within 24hours. Because I was worried about theft, Adam got my door down before dusk and came right back at 10am and finished right at noon. My garage pulley motor, to which I thought was running on its last leg (because it was seriously like a 20 second draw, from closed to open and vice verse) now works like a charm. Our ancient garage door finally rusted off it's hinges, and after I called, David came over same day to assess the situation. I knew we needed a replacement, but he realized we'd need framing done too, and had another contractor he works with come in and do that, all under same bid for a very reasonable amount. Even when they realized they needed to do more work than they expected they kept the original quote the same except for some parts. This was fantastic. I'm not used to that being the case.
