I think we're done coming here. The food is not very good Everything seems to have too much in it. The meatloaf is full of onions and other stuff. The pork chops came smothered in some sauce that was full of onions carrots mushrooms and beef gravy nothing was said on the menu about it. The chicken croquets are full peppers and onions and garlic and just taste weird. The last time we were here the matzo ball soup was inedible it tasted Ike garlic soup. Tonight the chicken rice soup had huge pieces of onions and more vegetables than chicken. It's never been great but it's gotten worse. I appreciate the owner responding but it's a canned response. I've seen all of your employees treat people poorly in the past. And the manager was useless. Even the cashier didn't know what to say. He wouldn't respond to her after he looked at the plates left on our table. Just ignored her and us. The employees congregate near the front making it even more crowded. They have little meetings near the salad bar again making it more crowded. Just overall this place has gone downhill. And personally I don't think it will change. First and foremost I clashed with the owner at checkout... he had to be the rudest, most arrogant and pompous customer service representative for his business. A couple of tables in my section were underserved thru no fault of our waitress.The waitress kept apologizing for the wait, which approached an hour. One of my guests chose the salad bar... having finished her first visit, she choose to return because the rest of the party still hadn't received their order. We waited and waited.When our meal did arrive, the chicken was dried out and tough, plate burning hot, the other meal was appreciatively different looking then past visits. But the owner, foreseeing an issue because of other complaints said "he already reviewed his cameras and knew exactly when the menus were placed on the table!" He virtually called me a liar on how long our wait was.... just like a few other tables. Using bully like tactics, in front of his staff and customers, he defended his attitude by stating "how do you think I built this restaurant and have all these customers?" Visited yesterday and the service was poor. They also check their ccv when I complained about the female server spending more time with patrons she knew who kept ordering more & more food. We didn't Speak to her even after half of waiting. Finally she took our order and it was after 8 PM. She never brought us silver ware or napkins and left the menus on the table. While waiting we served our self from the salad bar and beside the drinks,we finally got, we had no other food. A new female server brought my meal out and I asked her to make it to go. My husband and I were in the eagle diner for brunch at 11am. We got served very slowly, at about 11:40. We had a Parkinson's therapy at 12:30, so we got up to the front to pay at about 12:15. Two people, one the owner, were talking about where to seat people who had come in, all the while a line forming at checkout and no one coming. After 5-6 minutes I asked if someone could come take our check. The owner snapped at me. I am a seventy year old woman with a husband who is handicapped and we needed to leave. He was extremely rude and very worked up. He told us to go somewhere else next time, not to ever come back, he called us rude and said other things while I stood there with many people in a crowded restaurant completely humiliated like never before! This anger-filled man even yelled after me to come back in after giving me back my card. He said it didn't work!! He threatened me when I said wait before giving back my card to him! He told me I'd better get back to the desk with my card , and he held it several minutes, knowing I had somewhere to go. When I said I would report the incident he said I don't care if you take it to the President. How awful the whole thing was! My fiancé and I love breakfast. We are trying to hit all the diners in the area before we move and we finally decided to try this place. This place has pretty fast service. Our waitress was very friendly. I got my eggs sunny side up and they made it runny just the way I like it! I asked for onions in my potatoes but they weren't cooked the way I was hoping. just had the worst experience ever at the eagle diner. After we were set for a reservation for Thanksgiving we were told to get up because someone set us at the wrong table. We had already begun eating and we asked to just stay where we were. As I'm trying to explain to the owner son he walked away Saying I'm not dealing with you anymore. ButI went up to speak to the other son who I have known for years and told him what was going on and he said just to stay where we were. As we were eating our salad the younger son walked by and called my family assholes. My fiancé asked him if he was speaking to us. The son stated yes why don't you just leave Then walked towards the kitchen and said he was going to spit in our food. This is the owner son of the restaurant how can he threaten to do something so disgusting. . I went up to speak to the other son and tell him what was going on as I was speaking to him the younger son kept walking by yelling profanities. We were told what do you want me to do hes family.. We were the only mixfamily in the restaurant and I'm not sure if this played a role in it but it really was disturbing. I've been going to the Eagle Diner for as long as it's been around. A couple of weeks ago my fiance and I were out and about and I said let's do lunch at the Eagle Diner (Saturday afternoon). We sat in the lobby until we were called. The lobby we found was VERY warm. It seemed like wherever you sat or stood, hot air was blowing down on you. Between placing our order and getting our food, was 30+mins. We ordered pretty much the only thing we ever get, chicken rancho wraps, and it was not as good as prior visits. I found the chicken to be of lesser quality. Way more breading, way less chicken meat. Due to all the breading, the chicken was hard to bite through. Perhaps it was fried for too long. I gave most of it to my fiance. I mentioned our trip to my mother and she mentioned it has been slowly declining for a while. Next time I'll make chicken wraps at home. read more

I ordered chicken parm which allegedly comes with salad bar and soup. However the salad bar was closed. In my mind, you should either a) put a little salad together in the back as a consolation prize or b) take a dollar or two off. Neither was offered, and when I asked I was basically told to take it or leave it. Same deal with the soup situation. My dinner came with soup but the only soup they had available was French onion for an up-charge. Why should I pay an extra couple dollars when this is the only choice I had? I argued this point and did get the up-charge removed. I'm honestly not the type to argue a bill but this was a matter of principle. There was also only one waitress for the whole place and she was clearly overworked. And it wasn't even THAT late, maybe 10:30. Despite this my chicken parm was really good and I do want to go back. This visit was completely on a whim! I've mentioned in other reviews that my girlfriend and I are looking to move to the area, and as such we're scoping out all our potential eat out/delivery options. I opted for the "Eagle Burger" which is pretty much just an ordinary burger with mushrooms, onions on an english muffin. I've seen burgers on english muffins before but haven't tried it out myself. I was definitely happy with my choice overall. Not only was the burger a definite success, but the fries were definitely on point as well with my girlfriend commenting that they're her favorite type of fries. Speaking of my girlfriend, she decided to go with a "cream cheese french toast" platter of some sort. I forget the exact name, but there's like 3-5 different specialty french toast dishes listed on the menu, all of which sounded equally interesting. I was actually nervous that she might of have chose something that would scar her on the place, but boy was I wrong. She melted after the first bite. I also had a mouthful or two once it seemed like she was losing steam and it was phenomenal. Just to touch lightly on the aesthetics of the place. It was a diner, haha. Here's what's worth a try: WESTERN OMELET: Imagine... ham, onions, and green peppers all swirled together deliciously in a fluffy egg omelet. Add cheddar cheese and now I'm drooling. Comes with hash browns and toast. A great deal for just over six dollars. PORK ROLL: Preferably with fried egg and cheddar cheese on a plain bagel. Absolutely amazing and worth the inevitable heartburn. Also around six buckaroonies. RANCHERO WRAP: On a tomato basil tortilla. A classic Eagle favorite. It's got chicken fingers and bacon and cheddar and tomatoes and ranch all rolled up in a palatable dish that's even better when you bring it home and eat it chilled (pro tip!). Comes with fries. Just over eight dollars. MILKSHAKE: Sweet baby Jesus the milkshakes are so unexpectedly divine. Just go try one. Strawberry is my favorite. I've been eating here since I was an annoying little high schooler who went to diners when there was nothing else to do at 1:00 in the morning. There are so many diner options in the area, and this is one of those diners we just never have visited and I don't know why, as we drive by often on our way to other diners! Hubby and I tried the Eagle for breakfast on New Year's eve morning. The place was busy for a weekday morning, but then again this was a holiday for lots of folks. Menu is good and has something for everyone. We both got a combo breakfast that included eggs, meat, pancakes and coffee/juice. The eggs/meat were fine, the pancakes were dry, bland and even though I saturated them in syrup just to get some flavor, it didn't help. The coffee here was also very weak and has little in the way of flavor. I will say the service is excellent, the place is very clean and run efficiently. That said, the breakfast food is better at other area diners, so maybe I'll try the Eagle again for lunch or dinner. read more

I usually go to the Eagle Diner when visiting my parents. I can't believe how reasonable the prices are for the amount of food you get. I had the Turkey Value meal at the most recent visit. The meal comes with a trip to the soup and salad bar, your Entree and one side, a drink and dessert. All for $13. Everything was good. I really like the choices on the Salad Bar. Instead of our usual haunts for Saturday breakfast, we decided to try the Eagle Diner. It was exactly what you would expect. Waitresses who call you hon, lots of coffee refills and delicious diner breakfast. I had the pancakes with a side of sausage. I don't know how they did it, but the pancakes were seriously about a half inch thick. The edges were crunchy and they were served with plenty of butter and syrup. The sausages were really tasty and the ends were crispy. Yes. T had a spinach and feta omelet with fresh spinach and tons of feta and he really enjoyed it. I liked that there were no onions in the hash browns I tasted. The best part? I think we walked out of there spending less than $20. Eagle Diner has a great salad bar, including breads and soup. Most of their other foods are your typical fare for a diner. Sometime ago Eagle changed their source of desserts to poorer quality products. Then a couple years ago they changed management or ownership. After middle-of-the-night fire calls, many of us used to go to Eagle for breakfast, or snack. We don't do it much any more because the quality and service have gone down.
