We came here because my friend who is Canadian loves their ceaser salad. I was not too excited about it because I am not the biggest fan of tourist traps such as this restaurant. I will say the decor inside did surprise me. It was really cute with the dark colors and gold accents. I was impressed by that; unfortunately it did not carry over to the food. We started with the cauliflower buffalo bites which were nicely friend; however, the buffalo sauce was not poured over it instead of slathered/ covered in it. we did ask for extra buffalo sauce; however, our server brought us barbecue sauce which we did not use. For my entree, I got the mexican salad, which is usually my favorite; however, I did not like it because I did not notice the dates in the description. That was my fault; however, it does not make it very mexican. I wish instead of the dates they put jalapeños. I will say it is a vegetarian friendly place; however, I was not impressed with the food. Earls has fabulous service both times we are here. We only went for happy hour, but every dish we tried was delicious and interesting. We tried the steak and sushi combo (delicious and good portion for the price), Street tacos, salt and pepper wings, and the spinach and cheese dip. Earls is my favorite place to eat with all my friends in Whistler. They have everything from small plates to large ones - American food to Korean. It's all super good and has a super fun atmosphere. There's usually a wait so it's best to make reservations or put your name in early and they can text you when your table is ready. This place rocked! The food and service was on point like a javelin, even with the expectation raised by one of the Zip Line operators when we asked them for a recommendation. I've been sitting outside the restaurant for almost 2 hours at this point in the freezing cold. We were told it would be an qu'outre at the time of our arrival. We began to wonder why groups of 4 (we were a group of 6) who had arrived 45 minutes after us. We eventually had to ask to be seated in the heated seating area because we were literally frozen. As we sat under the heating we saw a rat run across the patio. When we were eventually seated after hours of waiting and watching the sun ultimately go down, we were sat at a table too small for our group and the music was too loud to even talk over. The staff were extremely rude and completely not accommodating to our group. I will not be coming back and I would not recommend spending the amount you spend on a nice dinner at this restaurant. read more

This is our third visit to the location and all have been not so pleasant. We were looking forward to a nice meal with a bottle of wine and assumed we could count on earls. They seated us and forgot us! Others that came in after us were being served.... Finally after looking at different servers like we were puzzled someone came over. (The server said that they had no one assigned to This section and they didn't know what was going on but now we have her to ourselves so it's all good. We order drinks and appies. My husband tries a taste of a beer, I asked about a bottle of wine and she says sure she comes back with the sample of beer and a wine glass and said they are working on the wine. My husband gets his pint and I wait, then he orders a ceasar and I'm still waiting. I asked I still have wine coming right she says yeah they are still waiting on the wine. Our appies arrived and I still have no wine until half way through our appies and she brings out a huge jug of wine. I question it as I want to bring some back to our hotel room after dinner and said I ordered a bottle of wine not a jug. She said I will go talk to the manager. So I still don't have a drink. When she returns I had no clue what her options were she was offering us. She says to us the manager says sorry and how much wine will you be drinking. We say no idea depends on the meal and how much we fancy drinking. She goes away then returns and says the manager says to drink what you want and we will just charge you for a 9 oz. so we just kept this huge jug of wine (getting warm in the table) and I had one glass. After the meal my husband says to me you have only drank like 6 oz and you will be charged for 9oz so he has a small glass. Saga on the wine continues at the end. We weren't finished our appies when our main course arrived which was "cold" upon arrival. she removed our side plates and said she would bring us clean napkins and well they never came and I waited and finally went walking around looking for her as we had waited 10 minutes since dinner had arrived. I almost had to walk into the kitchen area to get to talk to her and asked for pepper and napkins only to find her busy dusting out a side board cabinet. I walked all the way back to the table and soon after pepper and napkins arrived. My dinner was now really cold. Server Didn't ask how our appies were or how our main course was. Both were cold cold cold. The floor was dirty in the restaurant and it was NOT busy at all. The planters outside the window look terrible and are just full of weeds they should look beautiful in spring. We ask for the bill and it's $77. All the food was charged and the wine we were charged $11 for a 9oz. I said to the server it's happy hour the wine should be half price. She said well we measured the wine left in the jug and figured you drank 11oz not 9oz. I said your joking me how can we measure exactly 9oz you said we would just be charged. For a 9oz and to drink what we wanted. She said I know the manager confused me but I have to charge you the $11 non happy hour price. What ??? It was happy hour why would we not pay happy hour price. She said she had no clue what was with the bill. I said look I will just pay it all then take it up with head office. We live in Chilliwack and the earls there is ALWAYS 100%. We have been to Yale town a few times and it's always been great..... THANKS EARLS WHISTLER FOR A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE, AWFUL COLD FOOD, THANKS FOR THEN OVERCHARGING US AND FOR A RUINED EVENING. read more

Our waitress was very nice and food was decent. They screwed up an order (there was 14 of us on a busy Saturday night) and it took them almost an HOUR to fix it. Which put a huge damper on the dinner since half the group left to go the bars and half of us sat and waited for the vegan meal to come back out without egg. The only reason I'm even giving this place 1 star is b/c our cocktail server was nice......other than that....boooooooooo! We rolled in on a busy night during the Olympics....a friend of ours had eaten there before and said their $15 burgers were worth it....sounded good to us....so off we went. Long story short.....Earls had limited their menu due to the Olympics......sandwiches and burgers were only available before 4pm......they did however have a burger on the entree list with some extra toppings for $17 so I asked the server if the kitchen would do the burger w/o the extras and only charge us for a regular $15 burger.....she said she would ask. She did not and came back to take our order....I repeated my question and she left again to find out about the burger sitch. When she comes back she has some guy (manager?) with her who preceded to tell me all about how they had to limit their menu b/c of the Olympics and they had to raise their prices and pass it along to us the diners b/c of the extra deliveries at 3am and extra permits etc.....none of which was relevant to my question about the burger.....but he just kept blathering on about how sandwiches took too long to make and held up the line and how customers would get upset about the food taking too long to come out.....yada yada yada. I interrupted at one point and pointed out that they had had plenty of time to prepare sandwiches for their menu that didn't take too long (it's not like they just decided to have the Olympics there last week) and that I thought that Earls would want to put their best foot forward considering people from all over the world were here for this event and possibly dining at Earls. He never did get around to addressing my question about the burger.....and we decided to take our business elsewhere. Earls is a great place to go to with friends or with someone for a good time and good food. It has a lively atmosphere and a great drink menu. The bartenders know what they're doing and they always have a great drink special it seems. Food hovers around good to great depending on the dish, nothing that I can't recommend. Not a place for a quiet intimate meal by any means and that's not a criticism. There's a lively vibe to Earls as another reviewer has said. The outdoor patio is very nice and in the summer a great place to eat at. Location is just around the corner of the main square in Whistler Village which is great. Not in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of busy times but not far away either. Very friendly and professional waitstaff and I want to get into a recent experience with one of them. My wife and I have come to Earls in the past but we had a very wonderful experience this time with our server Alexis. We were there on 8/27 and though we only ordered only the chicken wontons with chili sauce (I liked that it came with chopsticks even though they aren't an Asian restaurant) and two drinks for ourselves she still treated us like royalty. She knew what was being served to us, answered all our questions, was very attentive of us during our time there and gave us a few points of interests to check out in the area and put a personal touch on it by including places she had been to and her thoughts on them. We accidentally shorted her on the tip and she smiled sweetly and said not to worry about it. I still feel bad about that though. I shorted her because we used a coupon given to us by our hotel and the bill reflected the final price and did not show the full price with the discount and then the final price. It would benefit the waitstaff as a whole if both prices were shown on the bill to ensure for proper tipping. Besides that, the food and drink were up to the usual excellent standards by Earl's and Alexis represented the restaurant in an exceptional manner. Earl's is always a nice consistent place to go for casual dining. This location is no exception. Food is good. Service is great. But the best thing about this place is Tuesday night 1/2 price wine night. There are some real bargains. The best being the Burrowing Owl Merlot. It is $30.00 per bottle. This is cheaper than you can buy it directly from the winery for. Definitely get to this place Tuesday night. read more

Terrible experience. Came in with my family on a Sunday night. While waiting for our table, I checked in with the front to see if they could make the pasta and tomato sauce on the menu without the chili's as it would be for my 4 year old. She told me it was absolutely not a problem and they could even do a smaller portion. Sat down and explained again to our server that the pasta was for my 4 year old and she said making it not spicy was no problem. I also asked her for a side of broccoli with only butter and lemon for him. Once again, no problem. Food came and when my son took a bite into his broccoli I first thought he was choking on it. Once he spit it out, he looked up at me wide eyed and could barely get out "mommy spicy!" I looked down and could see red chili flakes on the broccoli. I called the server over and she was genuinely apologetic and offered to bring carrot sticks instead. By the time they came out, we were all done our meals. She also explained at that point that the broccoli is marinated in chili oil and she was unaware of that. She asked if I'd like to speak to a manager and I did, as quite frankly this is a management issue if the staff don't even know what's in the food. The manager came and I explained to him my frustration that the staff should be fully trained in the menu so that this type of situation doesn't happen. It is not acceptable that a child be served chili flakes in their food after his mother has repeatedly requested that his food not be spicy and guaranteed it won't. The manager then gave us a side eye and threw the server under the bus and said she did know and just forgot. We were then informed we wouldn't be charged for the spicy broccoli or the carrots that came at the end of the meal. Cool. Probably time for some more management training too. read more

As someone was serving us the waitress noticed (lucky for my allergic husband) and quickly took it away. She brought us another and she offered to take it off the bill. Yam fries were mediocre but my rib eye steak ($49) was cooked just right and after being disappointed with steaks in Wyoming a few weeks ago I was pleasantly surprised. My friends ribs were not just fall off the bone ..you could actually just pull the bone out clean and tasted perfect. Some others got the Santa fe salad ..the blackened chicken was quite spicy for me but they all loved it. Yum Yum Yummy! I came in on a busy night and the place was just bustling with happy little server elves. Our Latino server, Katie, was so saucy and kept us laughing and entertained all evening. I ordered the clam chowder and boy oh boy was it tasty! The flavours tantalized my lips. My friend, George, ordered the zen yoga bowl which was recommended by the wonderful Katie and he said it was to die for! Mmmm...and then dessert. we made a reservation as a group of 16 here, an absolutely monstrous table, and were extremely well accommodated. ages ranged from 12-60 and the server was great to everyone, equally polite to the kids as he was to the adults. all the food came out together, and everything tasted great, if a little bland. the wine list had plenty of well-priced bc wines although no one seemed to like th quail's gate i picked. i've never been overwhelmed by earls but i had a great experience at this particular location. read more
