Parking at this location is a bit of a challenge. They have overflow parking in the back but the spots are really small. We sat at the bar area and worked our way through cocktails, apps, and dessert. We opened a tab and the bar staff takes your order which is convenient, versus how you normally have to order by waiting in line at the bar. The bar staff was extremely busy because they have to make all the cocktails and take the line orders at the bar. They are a master of multitasking. It was $3 martini night on Tuesday, so was excited to sample the four different drink options. lychee martini, Mexican martini, and Lucky Cat cosmo martini. Lychee martini is made with new amsterdam vodka, sake, elderflower, Mexican martini with espolon blanco, olive, yuzu, lime and cosmo with vodka, blood orange, naranja, lime. With that said I ended up with the Sukiyaki, delicious. With some flank and A5 meats so I could experience all styles, this combined with the bit of truffle dipping, so so so good. Service: Per most Tatsuya places, friendly and quick service. Don't be sad it's over be happy it happened... is what I would say if I knew this is the end but it's not, because the Tatsuya staff announced they had something happening in the works, so I know this is just another chapter. You can upgrade to a premium plate on some of the courses which is absurd since the bill came out to be over $100 per person and we didn't order drinks!! No one should have to pay this much for boiled food. Even the normal menu was kind of over priced. The only redeeming part of this was the interior was nicely decorated to a bamboo Japanese style. But that shouldn't matter with all else.
