Nothing fancy and not really tasty. We got a Philly cheesesteak pizza and a meat lovers type pizza (I don't know exact name as my husband ordered it) and some wings. We were given the wrong wings and had to return back to the restaurant but the wings were pretty good. Pizza...ehh. read more

We were "in the neighborhood" and finally got to try this place. Not overly impressed with the pizza...got a slice of margherita and a slice of pepperoni. My mistake. I didn't like the look of any of the pizza's in the display case. Nice variety of pies but they all looked dried out and not very appetizing. Getting two slices was the quickest option at the time. Unfortunately, both slices were too thin and crisp for my taste and there was nothing distinctive about the taste of these reheated pizzas. You know, it's that reheated taste and feel that they had...yuk! We also had the sausage and pepper sub. Good bread, nice sausage and sauce, but the peppers were sweet and not right for this combo. Sandwich served with barely warm fries whose texture had them looking and appearing reheated or refried. Couple of minor annoyances: we were seated at the entrance door and every time it opened/closed we were treated to a jarring vibration. Also, there are two ice tea dispensers next to the drink station. One for sweet tea, the other, plain tea. They're not marked...take your chances. Service was excellent. Greeted immediately at the register to place our order and young lady patiently explained options. Food brought to our table by another smiling gal, and we were checked on a couple of times. We just moved down from NJ and wanted to try this place out. This is an 18" white pie with broccoli for 20.50. The pizza itself isn't bad. We got a plain pie as well. The total was about 50 bucks. They are only using DoorDash for delivery so in total we are looking at about 60 bucks for 2 pies delivered. Came back after being gone for a year to what use to be my favorite pizza place. I was told to find my table in the back room which to my disappointment was in front of the men's and women's restrooms. I sat down without complaining because the restaurant was full. Just after my pizza arrived, the staff came into the backroom where I was seated and started deep cleaning and shutting down the room. While I appreciated the fact that they were cleaning the room, turning over chairs and putting them on tables while there were numerous parties still eating made a lackluster atmosphere even worse. Couldn't they just wait until the room was at least half empty? Or better yet shut down part of the room and clean it? The worst part was when one staff decided to clean the women's restroom. It was 4 feet from my table where I was eating and she propped open the door with a dirty water bucket and proceeded to clean it with chemicals. The worst part was she went off and left the door propped open for the remainder of our meal. Good pizza but I will not be back. read more

I chose ECP because I had an intense pizza craving and wanted a place close to my house that made real pizza (not that chain store junk). I was happy with my pizza and craving was thoroughly satisfied. I read a review from someone mentioning the pizza was cold when they arrived home after ordering carry out. Because of this review I made sure to wait until I was about to head out (15 min drive) to order my carry out. On the phone I was told about 25 minutes, I arrived within 15 minutes and waited about 5 minutes in store as they finished putting my order together. I did not mind waiting, I was happy to know my order was going to be hot and fresh when I got home. I got an 18" Cheese pizza and large Caesar salad. It fed 4 with 2 slices left over. The pizza's sauce was excellent, it really stood out to me as fresh and delicious. I will be ordering from ECP again in the future. My recommendation for carry out would be to arrive early to ensure your order doesn't sit. This is thin NY style pizza and it gets cold fast, so you have to keep that in mind. read more

Been getting pizza forever, best pizza around. But since I moved from Summerfield to Sundance (10 miles further away), not as often. I ordered a large 18" meat lovers last night with extra mushroom & garlic. It looked good and tasted good, but getting home & taking a bite, right away it was "WHERE'S THE MEAT?" Definately has gotten really skimpy for a meat lovers. Also the extra garlic & mushroom was non-existent. I have never had a problem here ever, but was very much disappointed. My first time trying this place's pizza was great! The pizza was nice and crunchy just how I asked for it. Also, best Cesar salad I've ever had. It was actually fresh and had real Parmesan cheese in it. The wings are also nicely done. Although, I believe the Buffalo sauce should be a bit more spicy. If you're in this area and in a hurry to get food, this is a good fix. The pizza did have a good flavor of spices, but just fell short of the value of a plain cheese pizza. Here's my unpopular opinion. This is nothing like New York pizza. I was super unimpressed with East Coast Pizza after being recommended this pizza joint for some supposed "New York" style pizza. The pizza itself was gross. Its possible they might make a decent cheese pie, but our group ordered a handful of seemingly uncomplicated pizzas that were too difficult to comprehend. For example, we ordered a BBQ chicken pizza, and it was made with both pizza sauce and barbeque sauce and was absolutely disgusting. Perhaps we went on an "off night," but chances are if I want good quality pizza, I'll head to NY NY Pizza instead. read more

I loved it! We were going to be driving back to Tampa and wanted to stop somewhere for lunch. I looked for places near the interstate that were highly rated and East Coast Pizza was a match. There a good amount of indoor and outdoor eating. I'm so glad that we stopped here because this is exactly how I like New York style pizza. There are a large number of pies on display that you can get individual slices from. I always prefer getting a fresh pie out of the over so that's what we did. The sauce and crust were especially perfect. I was full after two slices but had half of another one because I didn't want to stop eating. Someone who I assume was the manager or owner stopped by our table to ensure that we were happy with everything, which I thought was nice. They have a loyalty program if you are a regular customer. Being from the San Francisco bay area and having so many good pizza options. Nothing in Florida can compare. Pizza's are horrible to average in the Tampa area. East Coast Pizza is no exception. They do use fresh ingredients but the crust and sauce are lacking. The pizza sauce has no flavor. It tastes like can tomatoes with no life or zest to it. The crust is just whatever. I will say they greek salad was fantastic. So fresh and good. Nice touch with the potato salad, but I was here for the pizza and it was good enough for to come back again. When a pizza is good. You know it. You can't wait to have it again. Every time you are hungry you craving it. I don't get the feeling with at East Coast Pizza at all. It's too bad. Served with their marinara and made to order these invoke images of heavenly aromas wafting through Yankee Stadium while anxiously awaiting George Costanza bringing lunch to The Boss. My husband picked up a pizza from here tonight and I was curious to try this new-to-us pizza joint. We only live a few minutes away and were lucky enough to score a pie in just 20 minutes. We even got it home before it cooled off too much. From the very first bite, I was filled with disappointment. This pizza was terrible. Even the look of the cheese was disturbing. We ordered a Margarita pizza - basil and mozzarella. The sauce was acidic and sweet, like plain canned tomato sauce, with little flavor. The cheese was dried and clumpy with the consistency of cheese curds. The basil leaves were wilted and sparsely spread out. I don't consider myself a picky pizza critic, but this was just not good at all. I realize that this establishment has had many favorable reviews, but I just didn't receive a quality product tonight. I'd be willing to try it again, but I will make sure to have a back up plan in case of another disappointing experience. read more

After hearing good things about this pizza place I decided to check it out. The pizza was just as good as several reviewers and visitors have said. It was not overly greasy, had a good amount of tomato sauce (not like some pizza places in Brandon which drench the pizza in sauce), a fair amount of cheese though I added some parmesan to my pizza because like my pizza to have a cheesier taste. The slices were huge, which was great because it tasted so good. The pepperoni was also much better than any pepperoni I have had in some time so I especially enjoyed that part of my meal. The garlic roll was only $0.50 so I tried that out and it was pretty good (though I should have had some marinara sauce to dip it in. They have a very fair price for soft drinks from their fountain and they also offer customer rewards so you can save money if you go there enough. If this place delivered I would never called Dominos, Papa Johns, or Pizza Hut again. My experience here has made me want to explore the pizza scene in Tampa. read more
