Love East Side Pockets! Open until 2 am, which is very convenient for hungry college students like myself. I've ordered the falafel appetizer, fries, gyro wrap, & combo chicken & gyro wrap. The falafel is cooked to perfection, can't forget to to dip it in hummus & tzatziki sauce. I also love their gyro wrap, the whole wrap is really filling and huge, good to share between two people. I also tried their baklava today & it was delicious! Not too sweet but also a good portion of each piece. In regard to the catering, the order was also very simple to fulfill. Paul ensured to provide us with more than enough food for our party size. Definitely would recommend for catering as well. Consistent, affordable, and fast service in the store. This is clearly a popular lunch spot on the campus of Brown University. Our meal was fine (gyro for my companion and Greek salad with gyro and falafel for me)- it would be nice if they were clearer about what is in each dish- my companion would have had them hold the hot sauce if given the choice. One of my favorite staple places to eat in Providence. The food is affordable, filling, healthy, and fresh. The falafel wrap is my go-to but the gyros are delicious too. I love the baba ghanoush, it's super garlicky and has that delicious roasted eggplant flavor. I also love the tabouleh - it's so fresh and herb-y! They sometimes throw in free baklavas if you come pretty regularly too. :) You really can't go wrong! East Side Pockets is one of Providence's top restaurants on Yelp for a reason. Agreed that the lines can be long during lunch hour but it moves fast! I've also catered from here and it's really easy to order large trays of food for reasonable prices; you just email someone and can confirm on the phone. I have a new favorite lunch place in Providence and its East Side Pockets. My biggest regret of visiting Providence was not coming here sooner. Seriously, everything was so good! We visited during finals week so it wasn't crowded at all and our food came out relatively quickly. Plus the freshness, wow. They didn't have any falafel ready so they cooked it fresh for us and I pretty much burned my hand, but they were so good fresh out of the fryer. We split the chicken kabob wrap which was really good and really fresh. I got it with everything on it and enjoyed every bite. It was really filling despite its low price point. We also split the falafel appetizer and I loved the sauces it came with on the side. We debated this over a wrap but you get so much food with the appetizer that I was glad we chose it. This is the perfect place to grab and go or sit down and relax while splitting some items. We also got some free dessert which was very kind of them. I will most definitely be coming back! read more

We're passing by and just wanted some snacks PD we ordered falafels and kibbeh. Their falafels were definitely the highlight, made fresh while we wait and the flavor is just right. The kibbeh was good too, but a bit on the dryer side for my taste, would be better if there's a bit herbs in it. The hummus is smooth and pretty standard. The folks who work there are quick and considerate enough to give you a piping hot falafel to try while you're waiting for your order. This place was dangerously good with huge portions as well. I got the falafel gyro combo wrap with everything on it, because that's what they recommended, and I'm really glad I trusted them. There was the perfect amount of hummus and sauce so that it wasn't dry, but also wasn't soggy. The veggies inside made it crisp and fresh-tasting as well. Of course, the falafel and gyro were also spectacular. Both flavorful and the falafel was crispy even inside of the wrap! I have literally no complaints. Also, in terms of sizing, their wrap was like a footlong, but honestly probably heavier. It was so good that I ate the whole thing in one sitting, but it's definitely big enough for two people to share and still be full at the end I feel like I could go to this place multiple times a week and not get tired. Still, even after at least one ownership change (from the original owner Mike to his cousin), and possibly now a second since the night I visited after nearly a year away none of the "regular" staff were working. The falafel wrap is superb. It's a counter-style place and you work your way down the line saying yes or no to options (tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, tzatziki, etc) to get just what your looking for. The salads are prepared the same way, so each time can be a different experience. The line moves quickly and the food prep surface is kept SCRUPULOUSLY clean. I've been coming here for years and have never noticed any cross contamination either (no tabouli dropping into to yoghurt or vice versa). Prices remain good. read more

I really appreciate the owners and service I receive every time I come in. I've tried the gyros, chicken, falafel, tabouleh, rice, and hummus. I like the build a bowl style of the restaurant and I think that's what makes it popular. I would like to come in one day and try everything as it was just made. I've been coming in during rush or just after the rush, so mostly had everything that's been out. But lots of things taste better with time like hummus and tabouleh. Best wraps Ever! The Caesar is amazing but the chicken kebab with choice of topping is usually my go to. The falafel are the best I've ever had and the staff is always super polite and helpful. The falafel is the best I've ever had, 100%. Perfect flavor and texture. Their chicken is high quality and never stringy, and flavor is delicious (chicken kabob wrap is my go-to). Their baklava is also incredibly tasty and they have different varieties so you can get something more sweet or more nutty.
