The pizza is definitely different from the others. There's more dough and less cheese, but the crust is **caramelized to perfection** and gives the pizza such a unique flavor and texture. The restaurant is sit-down and can take up to an hour, so definitely plan accordingly. You can also order it for delivery, but make sure you specify that you want it sliced. We learned that the hard way! I guess they're worried the pizza will slide around during transit. We go back every time we're in Chicago and have even had it shipped to Florida. That probably says enough about how much we like it!

I've been going there for years and I've finally had enough! There is one specific cook who makes the best grinders- if you don't get him then don't expect your food to be great. Their customer service is terrible! They are never willing to accommodate for the customer and the owners are usually the rudest of them all. You would think that being in the food service industry they would at least greet people with a smile but instead you are greeted with attitude in person and over the phone, everyone who works there looks and acts like they hate their job. Their delivery driver will ASK for a tip....which is just not appropriate especially since there is already a delivery charge added. Last time I ordered for delivery they said it would take 45-1 hour, which is typical,especially on a friday night but they took two hours!!! It was ridiculous and they refused to cancel the order over the phone after I called multiple times. I had to wait for the driver to arrive and turn him away. Not sure why the owners couldn't communicate with the driver. It was an awkward situation and never did the owner offer a discount or apology. It's sad that their food can be so delicious but their customer service is such a turn off that I'd rather go somewhere else. read more

I wish I could give this place no stars, the customer service was dispicable. My friends and I ordered from this resturant only to be verbally accosted by the co-owner who I can only describe as a pretensious arrogant woman. Our pizza was burnt and uneatable and when we called to explain what had happened to our food we were told by the woman that she had been 'working for 25 years, you cant fool me, my father is a lawyer! Youre getting no refund!'. Horrible place. Stay away. I spent a few years in rogers park and while I haven't been to eastern in a year or so I always think of it when I drive down touhy. This was a great hang out place for me in my youth. They always had a baseball game on and the staff is really nice. The owner is super cool and the food was priced very nicely. I remember getting a huge pizza, fries and two drinks for me and my friend for like 5 bucks a few years ago. Not sure if prices have changed though. I would definitely reccomend it, especially if you are local. I think they do deliver but I always just walked in and ate there or took it home. read more

I order a Philly cheese steak with no mushrooms or garlic sauce. IM ALLERGIC to mushroom. FRANK then manager says that he doesn't trust me and that he trust his employee also that im some angry BLACK WOMAN . they will not return my money or give us a credit. Then the manager proceeds to yell at me because his employee delivered the wrong meal. this is the worst place to order from management is disrespectful. Tried them again after many years away and unfortunately - and I really hate saying this - don't believe the hype. Their grinders (subs) used to be delicious, but now they are average at best. They are better than Subway but not the yummy garlic spread and they do not carmelize the onions. I even ordered extra garlic and offered to pay more and I couldn't taste it at all. I tried calling the store numerous times and they wouldn't take my call. This place is horrible. I had guests over my house and now have nothing to serve them.
