After checking consumer reviews and the BBB database I called Eastside Exterminators yesterday at 8:00am to schedule a service quote for what I thought was a termite issue. Karen in their office was extremely friendly and helpful, doing the best she could to accommodate a convenient date (The next day) and time. She was pleasant and assuring, all at 8:00 in the morning! SHe even asked where I heard about their company. We scheduled an appointment for between 8:30 and 9:30 am and she assigned the service call to Angelia, a technician. The day of the service call Angelia was running late due to heavy traffic and took the time to call me to tell me that. I was impressed. I've had other service people come out late and not bother to call in advance or when they showed up made no mention of their tardiness, let alone an apology. Angelia was only delayed by 15 minutes beyond the appointment window. She was extremely friendly and nice. She examined the trouble spot and quickly concluded that it was not a termite issue but rather "Wet ants". She gave me some recommendations (dry the area out and have a plumber inspect for leaks) and said no treatment from her company was needed. In addition, there was no charge for the service call or her professional assessment. While I can't judge the quality of actual work/materials or value of a service cost my impression is this is a company that has good, kind, and ethical staff. I would not hesitate to call them again and request Angelia, should the need arise. read more

I have been a customer of Eastside for over 3 years. I was introduced to them at the Seattle Home Show. I needed my crawl space secured and the ducts and insulation replaced. Since Eastside does insulation, ducts and pest exclusion it made since to contract them. They came out promptly gave me an estimate and when the agreements were signed completed the work promptly. Very professional. Did exactly what they said they would do and have not had any invasion problems of any kind since. I also have contracted with them for on going pest control. They are very knowledgeable of all kinds of pest. They come out quarterly and maintain all bait stations and inspect for signs of any other problems. They also come out anytime I call with concerns about a particular issue. Their technicians are very professional and very courteous about making sure that everything is as expected. They always call before coming out (at my request) and I trust that they take care of any need that presents itself. I could not ask for better service from a company. I think the biggest advantage besides their excellent technicians is the fact that they incorporate pest control with their insulation and duct work. We have utilized the services of Eastside Exterminators for several years and have been very happy with all aspects of their service from their "day before" reminder calls to their "on-the-ground" work. We are on a yearly plan in which one of their technicians visits on a quarterly basis for the purposes of applying a general insecticide to control insects. A few years ago, one of the technicians (Steve) noted that carpenter ants were present in a neighbor's tree and further noted that these insects were entering our crawl space. Although it was approximately 8:30 PM on the day Steve had made his discovery, he called me at home to discuss our options which resulted in Steve entering our crawlspace and eradicating carpenter ants which had just began building a separate colony. Many of the other exterminator companies view extermination with a "maintenance" type approach in that they do not identify corrections or modifications the homeowner may wish to take to actually ERADICATE the problem. Conversely, the policy and approach of Eastside Exterminators is indeed to eradicate the problem by identifying those steps to be taken by the homeowner in order to correct any existing or potential problems. read more

This review is for Part 1 of the 4-part Rodent Control process. Inspection: We recently purchased a house and found out within 3 weeks of moving in that we had mice getting in to the house. I called and talked to Jon on the phone and he explained the process to me and was offered to have someone come out that afternoon or the next day (I was so happy to hear that I wouldn't have to wait a few days!). Jacob showed up on time and was extremely professional. He thoroughly checked outside and inside the house, closed up the hole in my wall that I watched the mouse run in to the previous day and set up traps. He then walked me through his report, complete with pictures (that were also emailed to me) and broke down the different options that they offered - exclusion, monthly maintenance service, and "rodent proofing" the crawlspace- and the associated pricing. Hopefully we won't need to use them in the future but if we do, I will definitely be using them again. I'm not sure where the bad comments about customer service are coming from - I did not experience anything of that nature and they were extremely flexible with offering to get someone out as fast a possible to help us out. read more

If I could give Eastside Exterminators more than five stars, I would! We had a horrible rat/mice infestation in the crawlspace under our manufactured home. They made a comfy home in the insulation inside the vapor barrier...YUCK!! Eastside Exterminators literally provided top notch service from beginning to end. We had a clean out, exclusion work, Bait traps placed around the exterior, and then finally spray foam insulation applied. Every step was gone over in detail, and all the employees involved communicated with us through the whole process. It was so hassle free. We have been on contract with Eastside Exterminators for about 5 years after we noticed problems with ants one spring. For the most part, insects have not been a problem since, but nature has found a way from time to time. When the quarterly spray was not enough and the ants discovered a way in, it was no cost to have them come out again to do a more aggressive job. The tech has been very friendly and helpful - same one for years - and we really like him. We found a wasp nest in the eves a few weeks ago, and expected to have to pay extra for that, but it was included as part of the contract. That was pretty awesome. But I want to talk about the attic cleanup and exclusion. Rodents had been taking up residence in our attic, apparently for some time, and it was a mess up there. Eastside Exterminators sent out a guy to seal off the entrances and then a crew to clean out and replace the insulation. Until you see this work in action, you can't really appreciate it. This is a true "dirty job". These guys got in there, pulled out and vacuumed out the old stuff and blew in the new within 3 hours. Seriously, next-level effort. We had hired this company years ago to deal with mice and rat problems many years ago when I was younger. Now that I am older and have a home, I have encountered the same issue. Not only they were recommended to me by several great friends, but I remembered their excellent work from many years ago! My first encounter was with Bobby who did the initial inspection. He took his time, drew a map, explained everything to me from outside of the house, roof, inside and included photos and a map (very thoroughly)! He was extremely nice, patient, explained my options and took time to answer my questions. After the plan of action for my needs, from start to finish (calling the company to resolution), everyone that has been here to their task has been WONDERFUL! After an incredible experience with Eastside Exterminators in 2014, I called them again after months of wrestling with gnats in my house. Brent showed up and on the first trip - sprayed the attic, set rodent traps AND rodent radar, installed outdoor rat controls, sprayed indoors, and the building perimeters. All in two hours and Brent made it fun and engaging. I was frustrated after my failed gnat control efforts - Brent listened, engaged, advised, and as he left, I thanked him for going beyond pest control - he provided me a solution on the spot, and someone I can trust with the tricky jobs. It liberated my mind and my time. The other company told me nothing could be done - Brent showed me that after ten years since my first rat disaster, Eastside still steps up to solve the problem entirely and liberate the customer. There was rot under a door going out to the back patio. This was caused by rainwater over a 20 year period leaking between the concrete back step and the portion of the house under the door. They replaced the rotted portion of rim joist and connected joists, effected sub-floor, flashed with an impervious self adhesive fabric flashing. They replaced the back door that I provided and the replaced the siding that was impacted by the leak. The work was done by Cory and Ishaun and they were great. They were prompt, courteous, professional and kept the area involved neat. They did a good job of explaining the cause and how they would prevent a re-occurance. Kudos should also go out to Kevin who discovered the rot while investigating a different issue in the crawl space and Scott who came out to give an estimate for the repair. So, we had rats. *ick* and tried a person who came with a recommendation. Complete fail. Eventually, I called East Side Exterminators and Max came to do an inspection. Very good indeed. Established professional expertise immediately and we felt comfortable with them. We had 4 areas of work completed. Attic cleanup and insulation. Attic Exclusion. Crawlspace cleanup and insulation. And finally Crawlspace Exclusion. All 4 items were carried out very professionally. They covered every inch of floor to make sure there was no dirt falling on the carpet, cleaned out, disinfectant, and left us with a clean house in 3 weeks. They are expensive though. I couldn't be happier with Eastside Exterminators. My experience was positive from start to finish. The technician who came to my home for our Rodent Inspection was nice, professional and answered all of my questions. They spent nearly 3 hours searching through and around my house. They found (and took photos of) evidence of a rat infestation in my attic and let me know about their thorough 4-step process of rodent removal. We were also very happy that they found some damage to wiring caused by the rats that was extremely unsafe and could have caused a fire... We signed up for their rodent exclusion service and home protection service and haven't seen or heard signs of any fuzzy little intruders since. We suddenly had a very large yellow jacket problem and needed help fast! Eastside Exterminators came out the very next morning. David Ficken was our service Technician. He was very professional, thorough, and discovered a second nest after a full check of our house and yard. He also treated our place for carpenter ants. He did a great job and got everything cleaned up for us. We haven't seen any ants or yellow jackets since! We had a couple other nests that I asked him about and he explained that they were non aggressive wasps/bees. He said he'd take them out if I wanted but that they were good bees. I was recommended by my employer to hire Eastside Exterminators for my home and I love them! I purchased a warranty package (thank goodness since I have an insect phobia) because we tend to have an ant problem when the seasons change. In between sprays, I had to call for a re-spray of the inside of my house. They quickly got an exterminator to me and it was all covered in the warranty! Ever since we hired them, our ant problem has been highly contained and there are far fewer spiders. Eastside Exterminators are experts and handle any issue easily. Their phone customer service is always pleasant and chipper! I highly recommend this company for exterminating services and will be considering them for insulation services as well. read more
