Really nice pool hall with a small bar. Pool is a bit pricey, I think $14 an hour, but you get a high quality 9 ft table and EXCELLENT competition from what I saw. Don't try to shark this place unless you are a semi-pro. Haha. I just go for the 3.50 Lagunitas IPA pints during happy hour. Oh, and they have a nice dart area, too. read more

Went here after my brothers graduation from UCSC. Great friendly service, beer selection was nice too, and there were plenty of tables available for us to play billiards when we arrived. Easy going and well lit. Not some creepy hole in the wall bar. Would come back again if I'm ever in town with friends or family. read more

not a common pool hall, some old guy was screaming like a crybaby, later I found out that he is the owner, drinks are over-priced, the place is stuffy, cant believe this guy charges for people to use the restroom, no wonder the place is for sale, probably, he wont own it for long, overprice on table time 14 bucks an hour, he must have forgotten that there is a ressecion. Only serves beer, no wine, no hard liquor or any other kind of entertainment, _ a real upscale pool hall- I dont think so. Visiting from CT with my girlfriend, where there is typically an abundance of pool halls/bars with pool tables. This place has a really chill all inclusive vibe, would definitely recommend to anyone looking to relax and play some pool while having a few drinks. Only downside is the price per hour, not ridiculously expensive, but $14/hr is a bit pricey for a laid back Wednesday night. Drinks are strong and reasonably priced. Great place to go and hang out. Nice tables, large dart area and a decent selection of beers on tap. When we went our bartender was named Emily and she was outstanding! They also do a happy hour but I've never been for that so I can't comment. read more

I have been to many pool halls and this place is great. The new owner made this place an amazing place to go to. I love coming to the Thursday and Sunday pool tournaments. The staff is great and the food is awesome. Jukebox on the wall plays tons of good music. Highly recommended. read more

The prices are good and the atmosphere is nice for a pool hall. They serve beer but what about us who want a cocktail? It's a little less fun when you don't have a nice drink to sip on when you kick back and play pool. I'd still attend regardless but it would be nice if that changed. read more

They have 9' pool tables that are in great condition, 3 steel-tip dart boards setup in the back, and a shuffleboard. this place isn't bad. the closing of bluefin forced me to trek downtown to get my pool on. there are plenty of tables, and the staff is super friendly. i've bummed several cigarettes from the lady working the counter. they don't serve hard liquor, but they have a "magic box" that can deep fry just about anything. lotsa little kids running around -- one of them even mistook me for a high school student while he was waiting for a ride from his mom. read more

Been to this place several times. The first few times was great! Had a great service and had a welcoming environment. However, had some experience of workers there sleeping on the couch and looked quite drunk. In addition, the past couple of times I had experienced one worker, boy with a brown beard, explicitly watching my friends and I play darts in the back room as if we were doing something wrong. Immediately felt uncomfortable. Then he would come and tell us not to sit on the couches a certain way and we got told twice about it, as he walks away and laughs about it. As we are quite confused and have the feeling of just leaving and going somewhere else, we stuck around a little longer. It was my turn in the darts, and I must say I am not quite good at it, but I am learning and I get told to "throw my darts right" by the same guy. We immediately left, left no tip, and probably wont be coming back. My friends and I are in the college of business at CSUMB and have been working in the customer service industry for 8 years. What an unfortunate experience for us to leave this place with such disappointment. read more

I was in the area for the weekend and just happened to come across this place after having dinner. This was a nice chill place to play pool. The service was nice and the juke box had a good selection of music. The only thing I didn't like about it was how the pool tables seemed to be too close to each other where I was always concerned about hitting someone with my pool stick. read more

Found while exploring the nightlife in Monterey. Pleasantly surprised it's not exclusive to 21+ although usually that's what you'll find here. Fair priced beers and snacks. The tables and cues are great, there are plenty of sticks if you don't have your own. There's a small smoking patio in the back next to the darts which are free. A table is $14/hr and there are about 11 of them. The only thing I'd change is that there's a music player for the whole place. If no one pays for music it's just awkwardly quiet until either the sports game is turned up. read more

GREAT room!! A good room for serious players (they were hosting a 14.1 tournament the day I visited) and folks who know nothing about pool (the people on the next table weren't pool players but were still able to enjoy themselves while respecting the rest of the room). A clean room with a well-defined culture; good, well-maintained equipment; and a friendly, knowledgeable staff who enjoys talking about pro pool players and cuemaking. This place has really turned around in the last few months. They have added a bunch of TVs to the walls for football games and added a handful of arcade games. They even have a Foosball table and I saw them getting in a Shuffleboard today. You can really tell the new owner is putting in much effort to revitalize the business. Nice clean pool hall, probably one of the more "serious" pool halls I've been to (not that I'm an expert by any means). The tables are all the same, and they're kept in good order. Same with the cues and balls. Food and dinks are fair priced, and the service is good. read more

Easy street is a great place. Their staff is awesome they have an internet jukebox. its not only pool anymore it has darts, shuffleboards, foosball and video games. the new owner has been doing a great job. he had multiple tvs placed all over the pool hall which you can see from almost anywhere. There is always popcorn waiting for you if you ask nicely but they also have a decent amount of food items for sale and they also have a wide verity of brews. no Liquor though. All in all good pool hall... Best in the monterey county for sure. read more
