I thoroughly enjoyed Eataly in SoHo. Eataly was a beautiful restaraunt with many options to choose from. It was raining and we ran into the restaurant. We sat at the bar to enjoy a drink. We were greeted by the bartender and he was very friendly and helpful. He gave us great suggestions on what to eat. I tried the split pea ravioli which tasted very fresh and a great spring meal. I will definitely like to return here for another visit!

Enjoyed this nice and light caprese sandwich. I liked that the ingredients were fresh and not stale, especially the bread, which was crusty on the outside and soft on the inside.

Not as large as other Eataly's, especially their Vegas location. Dined at the restaurant and was very satisfied with our meal. We had their MARGHERITA 'A RUOTA DI CARRO' pizza. That had to be one of the best pizza I ever had. I couldn't believe how thin the crust was. So tasty. I highly recommend their pizzas. We also had their Fettuccine Alfredo. The pasta was cooked al dente and was so good. To finish off our lunch we had the PANNA COTTA AI FRUTTI DI BOSCO. Great way to end our meal. The only knock, they need a hostess to greet and seat parties as there was nobody there.

While in NYC for a short vacation, my wife and my cousin and I were roaming through SoHo on this past Sunday afternoon. My wife and I had been to the Eataly on the Las Vegas Strip at the Park MGM, so we figured it would be a similar experience. We walked in at 3pm on Sunday and were able to get seated right away, the restaurant was pretty full. We split a fried calamari appetizer and a mushroom pizza while we had some drinks, I had an Aperol Spritz and my cousin had a couple Italian beers. The good came out quickly and hot, and the staff were responsive to our needs. The place was busy but not super crowded or too loud, aside from the restaurant there is a whole market area for purchasing food to go or stocking up on authentic Italian culinary supplies, their dried pasta is more expensive than the generic pasta you buy at a supermarket but I have a feeling it'd be much better. I'd try it again, maybe next time we're in town.

It's one stop shopping here at Eataly in Soho. Great place to shop. Cookies were on sale. Got a few batches of wafers and Italian snacks. We had already had lunch earlier. Went to get a Cappuccino and the Lemon Blueberry Cookie. Nice to take a break from shopping. Lots of tables and chair to dine here. Staff very helpful and even security. Definitely, be back to try the pizza and pasta. Lots of prepared meals in the fridge and packed ready to go. Two floors and to this Eataly-Soho.

The place was so amazing, it was one of the biggest restaurant we ate at all week! I would definitely go just for the vibe. Food was such an experience especially with them presenting fettuccine Alfredo with the cheese wheel. We got our food pretty quickly, but it did take a while to get finished up to receive the check. We used this night to catch up with some old friends so it was exactly what we needed.

Eataly has an abundance of selections ranging from pastas, baked goods, desserts, pizza and grocery items. The Soho location is well maintained. It's always clean and staff are available to assist if needed. I got pizza take out from the front of the store. There are many options from meat to vegetables or just cheese. The portions are decent as well. It was hard to choose because I like different toppings. Settled with the classic Margherita, added the Massese which had spicy salami and the burrata and prosciutto. Staff does ask if you are dining in or to go and whether to heat up or not. Pizzas are flavorful and though more then average in price, the flavor definitely makes up for it. My favorite was the salami. Though a bit spicy, that mixed with the tomato sauce made a good combo. Burrata and prosciutto, a bit salty but still good. You cant go wrong with the classic Margherita. Clean restrooms on the lower level.

There is a restaurant, café, and small grocery area. Came by for the tiramisu festival, they had some for sale in the bakery display case and in their grab and go refrigerated section. It was a much smaller selection of everything really compared to the Westfield location. We tried their lemon flavored and pistachio flavors (it was expensive at $10+ for a couple of bites). FYI, there are bathrooms in the lower level.

Went for the tiramisu fest: 3/5 pistachio- very nutty but where are the layers & the coffee? 2/5 lemon- so sweet, when something is lemon flavored, it's expected to be at least somewhat sour, this especially had no layers & no coffee

The ambiance and lighting were top tier. So whimsical and romantic both in daytime to sunset to nighttime vibe. The staff were also all very kind and accommodating and helpful. Came during their restaurant fest 2 course deal for $26. Chose the bruschetta and kale salad as appetizers. bruschetta was the best thing here! Kale salad was too hard and chewy, raisins were a nice touch though. The main course pizza was surprisingly big size which was great! The thin chewy crust with minimal flavor was not my style though. The cacio e pepe pasta was great at first but then was really just plainly flavored pasta, cooked a bit too hard, with too much saltiness flavor to it. The $6 small bites of fried rice and cheese ball had a nice fried exterior but needed another dimension of flavor inside which could've been done with any meat. Also got the mini tiramisu which was definitely veryyy small but the flavor had such a rich coffee flavor if you like that. Overall was a good experience but sadly not a favorite.

    Tuna tartare
    Stephanie W.

Overall I tried dining at this eataly to try it out but I think it's better to just browse around and shop. I tried the tuna tartare, espresso martini, short rib puree, and tiramisu. Out of everything I was pleasantly surprised by the espresso martini and tiramisu which was really good! The others were just okay and on the pricy side. I like browsing in the market area to see what they have and sometimes they have unique items! There's also a fridge area and there's 2 floors!

How cute is this?! Milk chocolate eggs with milk cream filling in an Eataly egg carton! So cute!

This is the place to come for all things Italian - especially food and drink! Definitely if you're visiting NYC, plan a stop by here (there are other Eataly locations around the city too). Inside the Eataly building here in SoHo is a full blown market - think Balducci's or an Italian themed boutique-y Whole Foods. Fresh meats, produce, fruit and a bakery. Then tack on a latte and coffee bar and miles of fresh made pastries beautifully laid out in display cases (see my vids). A beautiful and shady outside dining area with large shade umbrellas. And then a full service Italian restaurant serving housemade pasta THAT TAKES ONLINE RESERVATIONS (through Yelp - easy peasy!). We strolled in on a Saturday late morning and the restaurant was packed with brunch-goers. The aroma in the air of fresh pasta, garlic and herbs and seasonings was to die for. Duly noted for our next visit! We opted for a more quick and easy grab and go pastry and a hot latte. Lots to see - the place is massive. Plan to hang out, browse, shop, take a load off (in the summer; it's a great place to beat the heat!) and spend a couple leisurely hours perusing or pop in for a quick in and out. Definitely a must see when in NYC!

Menu of the $26 Taste of Napoli prix fixe
    Seby I.

A friend was visiting from the West Coast and we met in SoHo. I had suggested Eataly as it would be less crowded on a Saturday evening. We sat on the patio and perused the menu. We chose two dishes from the $26 Taste of Napoli prix fixe menu. Mortadella E Pistacchio on sourdough bread and Spaghetti All'Arrabiatta. I had a cappuccino when I arrived. No bread was given before our meal. We drank a bottle of Pelegríno. The server didn't offer us cheese which I requested. The food was fine but the pasta was lukewarm. We didn't finish it and skipped dessert. Slowly lots of customers started coming so the atmosphere became more jovial. I like all three Eataly's and this one is the smallest

Even if we wouldn't have gotten a window table and it wasn't Christmas, the vibes and interior of this place would have still been great. It appears most changes comes to the type of pasta used in a dish, aspects around a dishes main focus and gelato/dessert flavors. Everything we ordered was an 8 or above out of 10. The beet salad (BARBABIETOLE) is easily 10/10 and a top 3 salad we have ever had. The chocolate cake with gelato (TORTINO DI CIOCCOLATO) was 10/10 and the best dessert we had at Da Andrea. We ordered 3 total, including the ricotta cheesecake and tiramisu. Tuna Tartare, gorgonzola pasta and bolognese are 9's. The fritto misto, the other pasta we ordered and the other 2 desserts are 8's. If you're in New York make reservations and go. My Wife found this place and made reservations. Only thing I regret after looking at additional photos is not ordering the grilled pork chop.

The restaurant was relatively spacious for Manhattan, with dim lighting and a beautiful floral exterior. They also had a great-looking antique bar. For drinks, I ordered the watermelon mocktail, but really was not a fan. I ended up swapping with my partner and drinking his non-alc beer instead. For starters, we shared the Insalata Di Caesar. This was a pretty mediocre Caesar salad, but got the job done. For entrees, most of us ordered pasta dishes but none of them were stellar. My Ravioli Di Crostacei was pretty bland and my partner's Spaghetti Bolognese just tasted like the pasta you could make at home. Service was friendly and they managed our large table well, but overall, I wasn't thrilled with Da Andrea.

Baba Al Rum was also tasty, as was the Orecchiette. Rigatoni was salty, but well-flavored. I visited a popular Italian restaurant from the Union Square Hospitality group with a group of five others. The restaurant is quite large, and although it was somewhat noisy, the tables were spaced apart enough that it was easy to hear everyone. We had an early dinner at 5:45 PM, which took quite a while, but I didn't mind. To drink, I went with the Bitter Giuseppe for $19, with Cynar 45.3, Punt e Mes, lemon, and sea salt. I'm a fan of most Negronis, and this was a particularly bitter version. The bit of lemon and sea salt added a unique but enjoyable flavor at the end, though in retrospect, the salt probably wasn't super necessary. Two of us split, and eventually, a few of us ordered their signature appetizer, the $18 Cast Iron Focaccia, with tomato conserva, a mixture of crushed tomatoes, olive oil, and Calabrian chili. The bread was fresh and warm, albeit a tad oily and salty, but it paired wonderfully with the conserva. As someone who doesn't like it when bread is extra, this was delicious and worth it. Another person ordered the $18 Insalata Verde. It was very large, but fairly basic, with a vinaigrette that had a citrusy and mustardy flavor. There was also the Caramelized Onion Torta for $27, which was very large, as expected for the price point. It had a creamy and tangy flavor from the Pecorino Toscano with some sweetness from the onion. It was delicious, but very heavy, and I would recommend that around three or four people split it alongside the focaccia. Finally, there was also the $15 Pizza Bianca, which was easily the smallest of all the plates, but they still enjoyed it. My main dish was the Orecchiette for $26, with ramps, pistachio, and pecorino. Like most of their dishes, the portion size was quite large, with plenty of pasta, which was perfectly cooked. The ramps added a touch of sweetness, although I would have liked a few more nuts. Additionally, there was almost too much pecorino, which made the dish slightly salty, but it was still enjoyable. As a side, I got the $19 Grilled Asparagus with dates, vermouth, and blue cheese, which came with many pieces of lightly charred asparagus. While there was plenty of funky blue cheese, I would have preferred more dates. Two of the others got the Rigatoni Alla Gricia for $30. The portion was large, and I tried a bit while they tried mine. The noodles were again cooked perfectly, and while there was a lot of guanciale, this was easily the saltiest of all the dishes. For dessert, I chose their Baba AU Rum for $18, which was uniquely mixed with chocolate and orange. The presentation was a bit off, as it looked like a certain emoji, but the flavor made up for it. The subtle hint of rum paired with the bitter-sweet chocolate and orange. The dark chocolate-covered orange slice on top was a nice touch as well. Someone else got a tart, and one other person got the Gelati, which resulted in one of the only faults during service. She heard it was two scoops, and ordered espresso stracciatella and hazelnut, but was given two separate orders for $12 each. The gelato was good, but unlike most things, definitely not worth it for the price. I liked the appetizers much more, but I found the food good overall. Tasty dessert, and the portions make up at least a bit for the relatively higher prices.

Being Italian American, I'm hypercritical of spots like these - but nevertheless the positive reviews were overwhelming so I wanted to check it out for myself. One of my friends and I were looking to catch up, so I booked a table and off we went. While it can be tricky to get a reservation during prime dinner time, it's relatively easy to get a lunch reservation - or an early/late dinner. I managed to get a reservation for dinner at 9:15pm which was the earliest I could find. The restaurant is pretty unassuming on the outside - it looks like a converted brownstone and once inside we were greeted by a large space with a sceney vibe. The space is split between two levels with a large bar up front and a semi-open kitchen in the back. The decor was modern - with lots of greys and neutral tones which was a little unexpected. The main star of the menu is pasta, but they also have a few non-pasta mains as well as some crudo selections, apps, and sides. We decided to get a few apps, two pastas, and one side. To start, we went with the octopus, roasted mushrooms, burrata crostone, and focaccia. These were all really good, but my favorite was the mushrooms. I'm usually not a fan of mushrooms but these were prepared with red pepper and fried egg and were delicious; it cut through the earthiness and changed the texture to something I really enjoyed. The focaccia was also a standout - it's house made and was paired with a peppery oil that complemented the bread well. For mains we split two pastas - the caccio e pepe and the rigatoni. Both of these were very good, though I felt the rigatoni was the stronger dish. It was prepared with sausage ragu, soppressata, broccoli rabe pesto, and pecorino. The flavors worked really well together and the pasta was cooked al dente. The caccio e pepe was perfectly fine, I just feel it's been overplayed and didn't feel there was anything that stood out amongst the others I've tried. We also got a broccoli rabe as a side which was great. We couldn't leave without dessert and decided to get their olive oil cake and quattro formaggio cheesecake. The restaurant is known for the former - it was perfectly fine but I've had olive oil cakes elsewhere of the same or better quality. The cheesecake was the stronger dessert IMO - the combination of cheeses gave it an interesting, almost savory flavor. The brûlée top and mascerated strawberries were great texture and flavor complements. Service was great - the place was packed but service was consistently on point and everyone was friendly. Overall, I had a good experience at L'Artusi. While everything was very good, I'm struggling to find the exact reason why this place became such a hot spot compared to other Italian spots in the city. Nevertheless, you'll have a good meal here and I would definitely return if given the opportunity.

It also had an elevator for those who could not manage stairs. Trattoria Trecolori you will be added to my must go again list! Thank for a wonderful experience!
