Hot take but Eat's is the best ayce in socal. Quality = fire Service = fast Ambience = modern and clean Price = pretty standard in comparison to most other ayce spots in SoCal but quality is wayyyyyy better imo. Today, Chaw (and plenty of other staff members) took care of my parents and did a great job of making sure we had our stomachs full, thirst quenched, and soy sauced. I noticed that they also recently remodeled and even added tablets to order from which made this experience a surprise and even more satisfied than we always are dining here. Listen, it's NOT a bad place. It's spacious and clean and service is pretty normal. But as a sushi purist and someone who's very selective for my calorie and driving to/fro efforts - it's hard to give it higher marks for the quality of fish. It certainly is tailored towards a more fun sushi / Japanese food lover which is really cool. And yea, I'm not the egregious roll kind, but they offer a wide range of options that is not doused in sauce. I appreciate they serve sushi by the piece but I ordered in non AYCE sesh and I think even then I wasn't impressed by the slightest- the fish is okay and the rice is okay. Been eyeing this spot for AYCE sushi, and finally got around to trying it. Located on bustling Main St in Alhambra, Eat's Sushi is in a great spot with nearby street parking and a parking structure. We came in for the lunch special (a great deal), and also got one premium upgrade. We didn't realize the premium menu wasn't included in the lunch special, but that's okay. Thankfully it wasn't super expensive, and we got to try the premium menu out which was a plus. The sushi overall was pretty good. Not amazing, but not bad either. Some sushi was fresher and tastier than others. Loved the yellowtail (regular and premium), premium salmon. Rice is also good on all of the nigiri. Also really enjoyed the premium blue crab handroll! Wasn't a big fan of the squid or octopus, which was too wet and chewy. Some cuts of the nigiri were very thick, making them filling--a con for me, but may be a pro for others. The nigiri selection also feels somewhat limited compared to other AYCE sushi spots I've been to. The premium menu overall was just OK. I wouldn't order it again, but the lunch special was definitely worth the price! read more

Yes, I come here almost every month sometimes multiple times a month. It's my reason to keep working and making that mula so I can have more sushi! Today, I'm complimenting some of the changes I've noticed. 1. Baked mussels are sooo good now! No off putting fishiness! 2. I love the sweet sushi ginger. No more soapy taste. 3. Points system works very well! Good points today: We had ordered a yellowtail collar, the server had initially brought it to the table across from us before realizing it was the wrong table. She hadn't even placed it on the table or anything yet but thought she should follow up with us anyway. She has spoken with the manager after dropping off the plate with us to let us know what had happened. She was willing to replace the plate for us as I'm sure some customers would fear cross contamination. That's true but I witnessed everything and the plate never left her hands nor did the other table ever touch the plate so there was never a concern. I still appreciated that she went above and beyond to make sure we were fully satisfied. That yuzu wasabi sauce they put on the squid nigiri is sooo good!! Con: tempura dipping sauce is still just sweet. No dashi flavor. We added some shoyu at the table, that helped but it's not tempura dipping sauce. Today's sushi pieces were below avg compared to previous visits. Still good but much more filling given the rice portions were the same. Neutral: sushi rice does have added sweetness. From day 1 the consensus was this place likes to season things on the sweet side. Sushi still tastes great so not complaining. Hence the neutral rating. Just an observation. It did leave some of us feeling the food coma harder than others. Note: free parking available in the back! There's an alley way you can take to short cut to the front of the restaurant rather than walk the entire block around. Be aware is 15 min temporary zones on the first floor parking. Your entire party must be present to be seated. Additional condiments available upon request. Go there 30 mins after opening if you want to avoid the sewage smell. I think the place just needs to properly air out cuz it's fine any other time after 12-12:30pm. read more

I have been to this place probably more than I should have but it's really really solid. I really like going during the day. I'm not sure if they have a lunch special but I'm pretty sure it's a different price than dinner. It's so nice inside. I really think they recently renovated it because it looks a little bit different from a couple months ago. I really really like all of their choices here. Every time I go I'm stuffed to the brim, but I find new new rolls to try each time. This last time I went we got some non-rice rolls and they were fantastic. I really don't remember what they're called but I absolutely love all of their sushi here. It's pretty good quality like the kind that is so tender it melts in your mouth almost. I would absolutely keep going here if I could. I probably shouldn't have sushi too many times in a month but I would if I could. I recommend this place to all of my friends. It's so close to where I live. It's on the main street in Alhambra, where everyone can go and visit and it really is just amazing quality sushi that you really can't find all over SGV. I especially love going here for all you can eat. Again you will get stuffed, but you will be able to do several rounds unlike some other places because of how good quality this fish is! A must go. I will be back!! Parking is in the back structure just like most of the locals here know. You can also park on the street and I highly recommend that you stop here and enjoy as many rounds as you can then walk around Alhambra to burn those calories because it will make you come back. One of the best ayce sushi I've been to. Let's start with the staff. They are incredibly friendly and helpful. From getting your sushi quickly to refilling drinks, they handle everything with care and make sure you enjoy your dining experience. For the sushi, these are extremely high quality and fresh. As you can see in the fish, they are very fresh brilliant color and made to order. Some of my standouts include unagi, sashimi, sweet shrimp, halibut, blue crab, salmon toro. Highly recommend that you get the premium option as it does give you better options. However they do allow partt members to order mixed as long as they are all you can eat. As for the interior, this place feels very aesthetic and calming. The decoration makes you feel like you belong here. Parking is free in the parking structure being the place. Our group of 7 all did the all you can eat sushi, and was able to share 2 premium ayce upgrades. This consisted of some sashimi and premium appetizers and rolls that we otherwise would not have gotten with their regular selection. For how much we were able to enjoy from the premium offerings, it was well worth paying for the upgrade. The pepper tuna was a favorite. The nigiri option in the regular ayce was actually the same fish served as sashimi in the premium ayce portion, so it was better quality and flavor than some of the other seafood. Service was fine, nothing special. They have a large space, so they let us eat and yap well beyond our "2-hour limit." We ate through all 3 ayce rounds, and appreciated that there was no limit on how much we could order per round. No weird ayce rules, good quality fish, and rice/fish ratio was perfect. The $29.99 for AYCE Lunch special really got me to enter that door. There is no limit for the amount of food you order, limited to 3 rounds. I enjoyed the appetizers and fried food I ordered. TLDR: It's all you can eat sushi. What's not to like? You have a bunch of options to choose from, and I felt that everything that I ate had a place in the menu. Sushi: It's mostly solid. I'm happy that none of the fish had a funny taste and all the options offered something different. I like the pepper versions of the fish since it was a shift in flavor compared to the base versions. The one roll I had was decent. Sides: This is the second place that I've been to that understands that the key to a successful AYCE spot is to have amazing sides. All their deep fried sides are good. The bulgogi was good, the mussels were good, the teriyakis were good, and the collars were sizable. Service: Very good service. Things were served quickly, and they weren't slow when it came to getting the empty plates, and they weren't shy in asking us if we wanted anything else. Ambiance: It's a big spot, so space isn't an issue. The Japanese theming is not lost to me, and I'm glad to see Japanese chefs do their thing behind the counter. read more
