So the food is great and they have large variety of drinks for everyone... However I find it hard to get past the not so friendly service I get every time I come here, and don't plan on eating anytime soon after your order. I have never written a yelp review, either good or bad in my entire life. However, I am so disgusted by the terrible service we received from this establishment. A party of 25 of us stopped in on a friend's birthday as it is one of their favorite places to frequent. We we're all in good spirits until we overheard the bartenders and staff discussing how they were going to play terrible song choices to get us to leave the bar. We were nothing but kind and courteous to the staff, albeit a little inebriated however it was 2am and a celebration. A friend of ours unfortunately did get sick and made a bit of a mess in the bathroom which we promptly cleaned up ourselves to save the staff the trouble. We called her a cab and responsibly got her home. After the cleaning, we left the bathroom to find the bar completely empty and belongings missing. After searching the bus to no avail, I called to see if it had possibly been scooped up there. I was left on hold for ten mins and forgotten about only to call back and have the employee not apologize for leaving me hanging but not seem to care about the lost item in the first place. Overall, our experience was awful and the staff needs to desperately learn some manners. You just lost the business of 25 people who used to frequent your restaurant. If you aren't a "regular", don't expect to be treated with any decency at this place. read more

We used to love this place and started going on Thursday nights last summer. The happy hour is by far the best in WNY with half price apps (good full order normal sized apps too... not like the crappy apps that nobody likes that they "sell" for half price at other places) and cheap drinks. They have an awesome patio and the bartenders used to be awesome. Besides the happy hour, we used to go for dinner quite frequently as well. The spinach salad is delicious and they have some pretty good chicken wings too. They have a ton of beers on tap and have other stuff like hard cider that I don't see at too many other places. Every time we go in, the line for a table looks really long but we are usually seated within 10 minutes so they move pretty quickly. Last summer I would have given this place a 5 star rating and if I could rate the place itself, minus the staff (or just a few). The food is a 5, the atmosphere is a 5, the happy hour and specials are a 5, the beers are a 5, the new guy working on Thursdays is about a 1. He's mean. Like really sarcastic but not funny. The last time we were in there, he was running around behind the bar and another person said to him "maybe you need another bartender to help you" and he replied "maybe we need customers that know how to wait" My second hand anxiety was through the roof. I felt like I was in kindergarden watching another kid get yelled at. It's 2017 and we went back last night to check it out (almost a year) and while our food was okay and the hostess seated us in ten minutes (a lot of open tables) the overall experience was still poor, which when I asked fellow diners near me - they agreed that it wasn't like it used to be. The black and blue burger was cooked to perfection- medium! The onion rings fantastic and the beer was great, but it took over 45 minutes for our food... we patiently waited and drank our beer ... our hand cut fries were old and cold! I know a dead fry when I taste it! My fish fry was under cooked as the batter was raw at the end of the fish, the coleslaw was bitter -about to turn and the penne pasta doused in balsamic vinegar was old because the pasta was mushy. We don't get it! The place is full of people - many sat and waited as we did... we watched the servers run back and forth - especially the hostess who bussed tables and then washed the tables with a very dirty rag and spray bottle sweeping food from the tables onto the floor. It made me wonder about our table... I hoped that they were all washing their hands in between.... I am being very frank here because it is more expensive to eat out, servers have gotten a minimum wage increase and what should we expect when we go out and spend 50 -100 -150 dollars on a meal and craft beer? read more

Let me start out by saying that I think the owner must have written a few of the 4 and 5 star reviews because that was not our experience at all. The meatloaf that was touted as so wonderful was a sodium bomb and it was dry as can be...so, other than salt and dry..it didn't taste like meatloaf at all. So salty, it should have been sent back....but, I have heard that if you send food back....bad things happen in the kitchen. The cook or at a nice restaurant, a Chef, gets all bent out of shape and well, bad things can happen to your replacement meal....in this case, it would have/should have been 4 replacement meals....but, we packed it all up with the hope we could "doctor" it up at home with gravy or something.....mine went in the garbage and I ate the greenbeans....my Mom who likes things on the salty side...said it was flavorless except for the salt. So, my suggestion, find a great meatloaf recipe and perfect it or pull it off your menu. We had all discussed what we getting because I picked this place and send the reviews and menu to everyone ahead of time...if the owner didn't write the reviews, perhaps the kitchen just needs a better cook...and, perhaps this is a replacement cook because there's just no way that someone could have compared this meatloaf to their wife's and liked it!! I'm really bummed. Won't be returning...we picked this place because one woman in our party lives in West Seneca and we wanted to include her so, I starting searching for a new place to go there....Schwabel's has fallen off since new owner's bought it. We went their the last time we were in West Seneca and I hadn't been there in several years and I just couldn't wait!! So, is there any place that's good to eat in West Seneca? Maybe the beer and wings here at EAH are the way to go?? The waitress was very nice...This place seems like it's more of a Friday night place to grab drinks after work with friends and just get some appetizers...not a place to try to go for a nice dinner. read more
