Greek Dinner Chicken Souvlaki. The portion was huge.

If you've ever tried an American-style Greek restaurant in Buffalo, you know what to expect. Pegasus is a low key, family friendly place that's been in operation more than four decades. What do I like about places like Pegasus? The best part is sliding into the soft, cozy seat of a classic booth. I'm hungry, and I'm hoping for a good, satisfying meal. That said, this could be tricky. An overly extensive menu, plus a snappy waitress, don't make a comforting combination. If you are not a regular customer or, like us, you are just passing through, you could get this impression. Let's talk about the food. My Chicken Souvlaki was served exactly as described on the menu. The marinated chicken was charbroiled to perfection. Someone in the kitchen did a really great job. There were six large, moist, and tender chicken breast pieces. The dipping sauce on the side was creamy, garlicky with a distinct dill flavor, very tasty. My partner's lamb chops were also prepared exactly the way he asked for, medium rare. I had a bite. The so-called Greek salad was satisfying, mainly because of the delicious house made dressing. The Greek potatoes were rather like German potato salad. I wouldn't order it again. Overall, our dinner would have been more enjoyable if we weren't asked "how is everything" so often. Oh well... It's the typical style of American service, simple and inconsiderate.

Ok, so this review went from a three star to a four based on the superior customer care. Anyone who knows me knows I'm BIG on service. Allison our waitress did not disappoint. She was thorough, attentive, apologetic when things were cooked differently than ordered, and was very knowledgeable about the menu. We thought overall that the food was ok. My Cajun fish was not as flavorful or spicy as I'd expect from Cajun or the sauce. Nothing spectacular, not bad and not added to the list of new go to's, but a decent contender for a fish fry. Great portions. Affordable pricing. The desserts we skipped because they are primarily store bought, but I do believe the baklava is homemade. The atmosphere was clean and decor kinda old school. Bathrooms clean. We enjoyed our meal here. My favorite was the spinach dip with garlic pita bread (ate before grabbing a photo)...now THAT was something I'd go back for.

The service is always great, every time I've been here, very friendly servers. The food here is good, there's a variety of options, from breakfast to seafood to Greek specialties, and they have really great desserts. They do offer takeout and very convenient online ordering, door dash, etc. Something for everyone. Took away a star because of the fruit flies in the dining room. I know they're tough to get rid of, but it's time.

    Nasty tasting wilted salad

I ordered through door dash to have my lunch delivered. I ordered the combo souvlaki and between tax and tip it was over 30 dollars. I even asked them to put my meat is a separate container so my sale wouldn't be wilted. I received my order and when I opened the salad it was wilted and inedible and tasted very off. I called as soon as I realized. I spoke to a very sweet women on the phone and she took my name and number and what I ordered and said they would replace the meal. I showed up tonight and spoke with who I can assume was the owner I explained my situation and was told they would not be replacing my food and gave me a 2 coupons for 5 dollars. So not only did I not get to enjoy lunch I basically threw 30 bucks in the garbage! This to me is terrible service as I was told one thing and then they did nothing. He told me to go through door dash but they didn't do anything wrong.

Pam is absolutely lovely! She greeted us warmly, helped me with details in ordering my entree which was delicious! Try the chicken souvlaki breakfast with English muffin and the open chicken souvlaki! Don't forget the rice pudding, chilled with whipped cream. Ample parking.

Our server was SO friendly and really made our visit much better than expected! The food was great and very flavorful. I got the el greco skillet and my husband got the corn beef hash omelette and a short stack of pancakes. The pancakes were a bit overcooked but otherwise everything was great!

    "Fluffy" western omelet

Service was good but that's about it. The food was sub par. My fluffy omelet was flat, overcooked and dry with undercooked hard veggies. The Belgian waffle was advertised that you could get fresh strawberries for $2 more and they are very clearly not fresh, pretty gross.

I stopped here today for breakfast with friends. Our original restaurant choice was closed. I hadn't been here in years and I'm glad we stopped by. The coffee was okay. I had the Ride & Shine omelette. It was great. It was three extra large eggs with ham, sausage, bacon, cheddar Jack cheese, and fried onions. It came with fried potatoes and toast. I had rye. My friend enjoyed his omelette two. Both were huge. I would definitely return.

Breakfast skillet. Two eggs, over hash, potatoes, green peppers and onion. With a side of toast and coffee

The food arrived to the table quickly and hot. It was a nice quiet morning after the first snow event of the year so there weren't many customers at 730am but the place stays busy usually. They are decorated nicely for the next holiday and it was tastefully festive. The server was superbly attentive without being around too much. It was a pleasure dining here and will return many times I am certain.

The interior was refreshed within the past few years when the new owner took over. I was immediately turned off by a member of the wait staff who was just plain ignorant. While headed to our table, she stood in the only walkway blocking it for a few minutes, while talking about something unrelated to her job, and then looks at me like why am I just standing there. Then I ask our waitress to explain what the pans of food were are on the counter, and that same waitress interrupts her while she attempting to answer my question, to ask her a question of her own. It was a total turn off. My husband ordered a polish sausage breakfast and I had a traditional. Both of the breakfasts were good. I did like the fluffy pancakes a lot, I think I got more bang for the buck than my husband. We both liked what appeared to be homemade bread for the toast. Price was around $20/each with coffee. Unfortunately, about the going rate now a days. Overall it wasn't bad, just probably wouldn't go again because of the experience.

They…read morehave a menu filled with variety (but not overwhelming), plenty of different dining areas, and I especially love sitting outside in the summertime. The service was superb. Christina was one of the kindest, most genuine waitresses I've had in a long time. Their kids' menu prices have to be the same as they were at least five years ago, just $5, including a drink and a side. You really can't beat that! I was torn between their corned beef and chicken fingers, so I secured that I could get a finger from a shared meal and then ordered the Mother Superior. I substituted grilled sourdough since I'm not a fan of Kimmelweck seeds. This sandwich was loaded with tender corned beef and absolutely delicious with the melty Swiss, creamy Russian dressing, and lightly cooked red onions. We also ordered Combo #2 to share, which has several Buffalo favorites: chicken fingers, wings, beef on weck, and waffle fries. It was a LOT of food for a very reasonable price. My boys said the wings were amazing and perfectly crispy. There were plenty of waffle fries to share, and the chicken tenders were nice and crispy too. The kids loved their meals: mozzarella sticks, boneless wings, and chicken tenders. The fries were just okay, but when you have a vessels of blue cheese and a salt grinder on the table, you know they're going to be just fine. And then there's dessert... Very smart marketing to have a display of their homemade desserts right on the table! Our waitress mentioned that everything is made by their pastry chef, so of course we had to order a couple. We went with the pistachio cheesecake and peanut butter pie. The peanut butter pie was so smooth and creamy, and the kids loved the cookie crust and puddle of chocolate sauce. One of them actually said it was too much peanut butter. I had no idea there was such a thing! The pistachio cheesecake had a cake bottom with a thick, rich layer of cheesecake on top. We really liked the addition of lemon, it added a nice freshness to balance everything out. I absolutely love this spot and highly recommend it to anyone looking for good food, a great atmosphere, and reasonable prices. Oh, and there's a popcorn machine in the bar area, which the kids made approximately 17 trips to.

We were the only ones in the room so it was great to be as loud as we wanted without disturbing anyone. They have a large parking lot but it can be easy to miss since it's by one of the roundabout's. I had the Beef on Weck wrap. Asked our waitress about it since it's been a while since I was there. She said it was one of the newer items and is very popular. The beef is wrapped in a flour tortilla with provolone, creamy horseradish, salt & caraway seeds & finished in a panini press. It comes with chips and a pickle but I upgraded to fries. My choices were straight cut, waffle or sweet potato so I opted for waffle fries. I would definitely order it again. Everyone enjoyed their food, too busy talking to take pics but some of their options were the beer cheddar soup, corned beef quesadilla, burger, chicken sandwich, roast beef on white bread with mashed potatoes & gravy. Their rye bread is baked in-house and you can purchase it just like one of my friends did.
