This spot holds so many wonderful memories for me. It was a favorite of both of my grandmothers over the years and so I have visited regularly on my trips to Westhampton. Honestly, I don't feel like the quality of the simple diner-style food, or the friendliness of the staff or the charm of the luncheonette itself has changed much since I was a little kid-and indeed, this restaurant is still owned by the same wonderful family! I have to give a special shout out for the Mac salad... if you are having a lunch item definitely pick this as your side! As always, everyone at my table, enjoyed all of the different dishes they ordered. As noted that staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it for casual family meal-I think everyone could find some thing they would like on the menu!

Solid 3.5 It was just a solid good. Reminded me of meals I would get from my friend's grandparent's when we would visit them for lunch. One negative was their chicken and dumplings soup... I've never had dumplings the size of tiny pebbles and soup that had more cornstarch than chicken broth in it. But my kids enjoyed their pancakes, tuna melt and we left full and content. Not really a must stop designation more like an if you're in the area and you want a solid quick sit down kind of place.

The food was very tasty and unique at the restaurant I highly recommend. The Service was nice and quick about an average wait time for the food to come out and the workers were very respectful. The interior was 1911's theme I'm pretty sure and, it looked like some things in there like the flooring and antiques were from that time period. You all should come here!

I stopped here today for the first time with some coworkers for breakfast. I can't believe I haven't heard of this place before, it's been around for a while & is totally classic. You know, that old timey ice cream parlor/ brunch cafe feel. I went with a party of 4, we all ordered something different & everyone was very satisfied with their respective meals. I also asked them for a plain bagel toasted dark with just a little cream cheese, to go. The bagel was exactly how I ordered it & I was spared a nice cream cheese stain while driving. I will definitely be returning for a Sunday brunch in the near future. My recommendation? If you're near by stop here, if you're not near by... stop here.

Eckart's is essentially a diner, and it's a good one. This place is as charming as all get out (whatever 'all get out' actually means), and much cleaner than you'd think considering it's 100 years old.* The downside of being around for 100 years is that people have heard of you, and during the summer I'm sure waits are insane on the weekends. But in the winter, you should be able to get a table without much trouble. As far as I can tell, breakfast is the move. Eggs, toast, potatoes...they do it, and they do it well. I'd add a side of corned beef hash to anything you get, too. It's what's good. Actually, I might just ask for corned beef hash with a few eggs on top. When it comes to lunch, Big Ray is my dude. I don't know who he actually is, but he seems to like BBQ sauce, American cheese, and onion rings on everything, and I can get behind that. The only downside is that he seems to also like his burgers well done (even if you order them medium rare)...but that's kind of how diners roll. Corned beef hash. It was worth saying again. _______________ *When I'm 100 years old, I'm planning on being FILTHY. In more ways than one. I also plan on mainlining heroin, but that's a separate issue.

Ghetto Bathroom sink... Instead of fixing the handle, they left the cold water constantly running.

Service: Ok (3 stars) Food: Bad (1 Star) - Toast was very processed, not fresh, and had too soft a texture. Very bad. - Hash browns were overly fried slices of potatoes. - Breakfast is split into pieces, so that the total price of eggs + hash browns + bacon is more than most diners, but individual prices look attractive. Atmosphere: Old tables, floor, bathroom. Not a single dollar invested in anything new. It's like they know they'll close down the business in a week, a month, a year... so what's the point?

Every meal is fresh, flavorful, and made with care. My favorites are the Sweet Basil Chicken (hands down my favorite dish on the menu), the Crispy Chicken Sandwich, the Kale Chicken Caesar, and the Truffle Mushroom Arancini. Service was very friendly and efficient! Apps: Pear Salad, Edamame Hummus, & Burrata: All three were 10/10! The salad was so fresh with a tangy vinaigrette and sweet pears. The hummus was so savory and the burrata had a delicious tomato sauce that brightened the dish! Mains: Truffle Mushroom Arancini and Soba Noodles - the arancini was rich, cheesy, and super flavorful! We came here to celebrate my mom's birthday and let our server know we were there for a special occasion. He treated us extremely well, bought my mom a birthday cocktail and dessert, and walked us through the menu to make recommendations on what we definitely had to try as first timers. For appetizers we had local oysters on the half shell which were fresh and delicious, and shrimp cocktail which was sizable. We went with the endive salad in between which was crisp and well balanced, the honey mustard dressing really brings it all together. We also had the baked clams which were cooked perfectly, and burrata which was so, so creamy. For entrees we ordered the spicy vodka rigatoni which I think might be the best I've ever had. The sauce was rich and perfectly spicy. We also had the whole branzino which was excellent, cooked just right. The steak frites were also the right temperature, and the truffle fries hit the spot. We had the chocolate souffle cake for dessert which was rich and decadent. If you're looking for somewhere to celebrate a special occasion, I would recommend this place.
