In spite of it being Saturday afternoon and 100 degrees outside of my Sleepy Hollow home, the company came within two hours and had to use all of its 75 foot power rooter to unclog my drain pipe. The service man-owner of this company, who has recently moved to this area, personally came and made things as comfortable for me as possible. While his 5-Star YELP rating and fixed price fee drew me to him, his professionalism, proficiency, timeliness and commitment to leaving me as a fully satisfied customer has endeared him to my list of permanent service providers. Sam just came over to look at the backwash from the washer drain. This has been a continual problem and the backwash at the washer worsened with the kitchen faucet running. Since there is no clean out, he decided to run the snake through the opening at the roof above the kitchen. We have to deal this same problem over our 20+ years at this older house, he is the first to clear from the top of the kitchen. Previous plumbers/rooters cleared from the roof above the garage where the washer is and the solution had always be short-lived. The first try in snaking created backwash of dark smelly water in the garage. The second try with a new brace at the snake did the work. Sam was thorough and checked drainage at the kitchen sink and the washer before he left. Hopefully, it would be a while before we have to clear the drain again. All done in 1.5 hour and his charge was very reasonable. I needed it done by about 10 AM and he was at my house by 9:45. He took care of a clogged toilet and was very pleasant about the whole thing. I had a problem with a clogged drain. I called a local plumbing company and was told that the soonest they could schedule a plumber to come out to my house was in four days. I then called Econo Rooter and they were able to come out to my house the next day. Sam arrived and realized that the solution would require them to snake the drain from a vent in my roof. He was able to quickly call another company employee to come and assist him with moving the equipment to the roof and the drain was cleared within 30 minutes. Both employees wore masks and practiced safe distancing. I paid a reasonable price for the work. Called Sam, he was able to come out within two hours for a blocked drain. He was able to clear the drain however........ When he reconnected the plumbing under the sink, he cross threaded the slip nut and the P trap. Therefore the plumbing was leaking. I called him back to fix the problem. He did come back immediately, then called me and told me that he tightened everything and the leak was fixed. A few minutes later, the tenant called to tell me that the pipe was still leaking. I went to to my rental and found that the plumbing had not been put back together properly. Therefore I had to reconnect the plumbing correctly. This past weekend, I was notified that a drain on our property was clogged and needed immediate repair. Being that it was a holiday weekend, the service I generally use was closed...so I went to Yelp in search of another provider. I left a message at Econo Rooter, but feared that they would be closed as well. I was immediately called by 'Sam' at Econo. I explained the problem, and within an hour, they were on the property and repaired the damage. While there, they also checked other lines to ensure that they were not clogged as well. I called at 4 in the afternoon and he came the next morning at 10. He was very straight forward on the phone and did just what he said he would. The person who came was the owner who also answered the phone the day before. We had a clog just 7 months before and i asked about that and he asked some smart questions and helped me realize that we had not lint sock on the washing machine which is likely a problem. When "RoRo" came out 7 months ago they told us to stop putting food down the disposal. I would call Econo Rooter again if I had the problem, but he left saying that he hopes I don't need him again but that there was a 30 day warranty. Sam is an example of the very best kind of service provider -- he answered the phone when I called, said he could come out later that morning and showed up EARLY for the job. Our kitchen sink started to back up the previous night, and after 2 hours of troubleshooting it ourselves, we knew we had to call in a pro. Sam spent 5 hours trying to unclog our kitchen sink, including a run to three different stores in an attempt to find a special tool to open our clean out. He persevered and got the job done, after most people would have called it quits. He also charged me for the job, not the hours he spent trying to unclog my sink.
