We have had this apartment cleaned many times before, and it normally takes around 2-3 hours, so we scheduled 3 hours this time. After almost 3 hours, the cleaners had not even completed half of the work. I was honestly shocked by how slowly they were working. What was even more surprising was that they themselves said they needed around 5 hours to finish. They initially recommended 4 hours, but based on their progress, it was clear that even 4 hours would likely not be enough. I was not willing to keep paying for several additional hours when the apartment was already relatively clean and the work was progressing at such a slow pace, so I ended the service after the original 3 hours. I understand that cleaning time can vary, but needing around 5 hours for a 1,500 sq. ft. apartment that had already been lightly cleaned by the tenants was completely unreasonable based on our previous experience. At that point, half of the house had already been cleaned, leaving me to either pay the additional $600 or have the company walk away with the job unfinished. As the owner of a property management company, I found this business practice extremely concerning and unprofessional. If the scope of work was underestimated, that should have been identified before the work began, not after the customer is already committed. In my opinion, this pricing approach feels misleading and unethical. I would strongly encourage others to get all pricing and expectations in writing before hiring this company.
