A very solid diner with reasonable prices. I got the Country Omelette and I can say their biscuits have great texture and their sausage gravy is well seasoned, not just thickened milk. My partner got the Sundae Waffle, and even though it was too sweet for my tastes, I really love how the dish was arranged.

We woke up early on a Sunday morning so we decided to get dressed early for church and stop by here for breakfast and I am so glad we did! It was our first time trying Swedish pancake and was in love. The lady who made my husbands latte did an awesome job too! Love the vibe of this place. It's giving us vintage diner vibes!

We had a really yummy breakfast here. The atmosphere was bustling and there were plenty of tables and booths to seat everyone (although they could really replace their booths, they are cracking pretty bad). The service was incredibly friendly and attentive, and everybody enjoyed their food. My Dad loved his Turkey Bacon & Eggs and said the pancakes were super fluffy. My Chicken & Waffles were crispy and well-seasoned. We would totally come back when visiting family in the Plano area. One thing to note is that they don't have many flavors or options for iced coffee, just plain old cold brew. Besides that, a well-rounded breakfast spot for sure.

Eddie's Diner in Plano is an absolute gem. Hands down the best chicken fried steak I've ever had--perfectly seasoned, crispy, and tender. The biscuits are fantastic too, warm and fluffy just the way they should be. The meat lover's omelet was loaded and delicious, and while the hash browns weren't my favorite, everything else more than made up for it. In fact, the food was so good we ended up coming two days in a row. The customer service was outstanding both times. The staff was friendly, attentive, and on top of everything without ever feeling rushed. We went on a Sunday when it was understandably busy, and even then the wait was only about 20 minutes--not bad at all. If you're in the area and want hearty comfort food with great service, Eddie's Diner is absolutely worth the stop. Highly recommend! The atmosphere is warm and cozy with seats at the counter and tables and booths as well.

We visited for the first time this week and it was an awesome first time! Miss Tammy was our server, and she was a rockstar lady! I got the steak and eggs with hash browns and pancakes. The steak really impressed me because it was cooked perfectly at medium rare (how I like it), and it was seasoned extremely well (not too salty or peppery.) Pancakes were delightful. We also got the porky pig skillet, and they didn't skimp at all. Each bite had multiple protein in it! I could tell they had lots of regulars, and it was just a great atmosphere! Highly recommend!

Needed a nearby place for lunch after a medical procedure and saw Eddie's Diner. Our server was Diane who quickly brought us our drinks. Now for the hard part. Breakfast or lunch? The CFS Breakfast won and soon I was facing the biggest CFS that I've seen in awhile. It was not one of those puny Sysco specimens that so many restaurants try to pass off but a big hunk of tender beef with crispy batter served with two eggs, hash browns and pancakes. That steak wasn't just big but it was GOOD! Had to get a to go box for the pancakes so breakfast tomorrow is covered. Y'all check em out!

I really was not a fan of Eddie's for several reasons. I was surprised because of all the great reviews they get, but our was not a good experience. The first turn off was the ambiance. The place is loud and it kind of hits you in the face when you walk in the door. It was also almost nightclub level dark. The chairs at the tables were not very comfortable. I could go on, but I won't. The service was "functional" and more like a process. There was no warmth or personality to it, just functional. The food was ok to really bad. I ordered the bacon and eggs with pancakes and hash browns. Eggs were cooked to a perfect over medium. The bacon was good as were the hash browns and pancakes. My wife ordered the Haystack skillet which in part had biscuits and gravy. She took a bite and ate no more. When I asked why she said taste them, which I did, and the biscuits and gravy tasted horrible to me. Not trying to be condescending, but first I would never cook them that bad, and if I did I would throw them out. I wanted to let them know, but my wife insisted I not say anything so I didn't. But the server who came and picked up the plates said nothing either about them not being eaten, just picked up the plate and went away. As I said, just functional...

I was driving by and decided to stop one early Saturday morning. Early like 8:30am, and it was PACKED! Thankfully they have a bar to sit at for us solo people. They do not take reservations. If you have a big group, they do appreciate a call with a heads up(random conversation with a waitress there after a big family showed up). The food was mom and pop's good! Even the leftovers I had. Next time I'm getting pancakes.

This charming breakfast restaurant has really good hearty dishes. I really appreciated our server who kept the coffee flowing. The chicken was amazing with a nice thin crisp fried batter. You will not leave this place hungry.

Great food and great service! They have a pretty big menu with the standard breakfast staples. It is clear the food is fresh. We had the chicken fried steak and veggie omelette and both were great. I have to admit that my past two experiences here have been outstanding . The food and service have been top notch . The banana and walnut oatmeal is my daughters favorite. I enjoyed the omelet and the bacon that was cooked to my preference . read more

Wow! This is the place to go if you want a really expensive breakfast or lunch. My $12.95 California Cobb Salad was literally (and I know that means it REALLY was) a plate of big chunks of iceburg lettuce, a sliver or two of tomato, little bits of chicken (too small to tell if grilled or boiled), one-quarter of an avocado and about a tablespoon of shredded cheese. Did I mention that with water and a tip, my lunch plate of lettuce cost me almost $15? I'll gladly pay that for a good salad, but this was not a good salad. Service was good; place is clean and new, but not worth the money. read more

This is a good choice for either breakfast or lunch. We had one of each. The omelet was well prepared with lots of veggies and it came with biscuits and sausage. I had a lunch item - vegetable panini with pesto. It was great. It came with a choice of side; I chose the garden salad. It was so big I couldn't finish it. They offer a wide selection and you can eat healthy or decadent. Service is great- attentive but not pushy. read more

Found this gem during a visit to Plano. It was cute and clean . All staff was very personable but especially our server EMILY. She was kind, helpful and attentive. We enjoyed our food... spicy Midas and could not finish the generous serving. Coffee was strong and the cup was filled often as needed. Very much enjoyed our breakfast. Best diner in the Plano area. Went here for the first time and was blown away by the excellent food and service. They went above and beyond. Breakfast and lunch are both served here. Food comes out quick and was top notch. Try the sausage biscuits and gravy for breakfast or the buffalo chicken sandwich for lunch. So happy we tried this place out! We were visiting in Plano and found this place near where we were shopping. We came over the lunch hour but ordered breakfast. My husband and I couldn't stop commenting how delicious everything was. On top of the food, the service was perfect and this place was so cute and very spacious and clean. Eddie waited on us and was very friendly which made it such a nice experience. Don't miss this gem and I recommend a side of pancakes. They were like eating cake! read more

First visit for breakfast and we were not disappointed. Food and service were excellent and Eddie's had a pleasant diner atmosphere. Eggs, bacon etc. were very good and I would recommend the pancakes and biscuits also. We will be back to try other menu items ( breakfast and lunch). Eddie's is a winner. read more

Everything was just meh. I thought the $3 coffee would be worth it since it had free refills, but it wasn't that great and I didn't finish my first cup. The corned beef hash was pretty good and the hash browns were exactly what I'd expect from somewhere like Denny's. Overall the food was decent, but overpriced. Portions were good, and staff was friendly. Poor value. read more

I found this place in late 2020 and loved it! Me and my husband would go at least once a month. On May 24th 2021, the reason for this low rating, we had an appointment for our sweet dog to get an ultrasound at the vet for a suspected liver tumor. After dropping our dog off at the vet, we had to wait around for a call to come back to get her, so we decided let's do breakfast at Eddie's Diner. After we finished our food, the waitress dropped the check off with out being prompted (40 mins since being seated), or asking to refill our coffee at any time during the meal. I payed the bill, but told the waitress that we plan to stay a bit longer, (as there was no one waiting for a table, and there were at least 4 tables empty), and asked for refill on the coffee. Her response was cold and unwelcoming. Confused by the coldness of her response, I had re-assured her, if I saw people waiting for a table we would move. This was not the re-assurance that she was looking for and did not change her demeanor what-so-ever. She said it would take a few minutes to get us our coffee refill and she walked away. We decided that instead of waiting for our first refill on coffee, and stay in a place we were being served by someone with such negative and cold vibe, we would prefer to leave. I am disappointed by this experience and find the good food and even the coupon's for this place (that are placed on a monthly basis on a local Plano paper) are not worth continuing our monthly breakfast here. read more

Looking for a spot to eat with gma, drove by and saw Eddies and thought we'd stop to try a new place. Uhhhhh, thank goodness we did, we found our new breakfast spot! The restaurant is sooooo clean, the servers were extremely nice and the food was delicious. Im always cautious with some diners since the food can be super greasy and ya feel gross leaving. NOT HERE the food was so fresh and had all your breakfast favs! Excited to return! Thanks Eddies! read more

Definitely a hole in the wall looking from the outside. Compared to the other brunch place I reviewed earlier in Frisco, this place has its own flare. It has generous portions and hot coffee...which BTW was NEVER EMPTY!!! The exterior isn't much to desire for but hey its what you get when the bricks all have to match...but the inside is welcoming and has a contemporary and traditional cafe vibe complete with booths and bar style stool seating. Food portion is hearty and delicious even for the vegetarians...BTW if you get biscuits and gravy on the side...best to eat it first it will become cold easily. read more

We were there from out of town and there for breakfast, food was average. A skinny older lady with short hair took our drink order and she was very rude!! Thank goodness she ended up not being out waitress. Service was great but doubt we will go back. read more

The BAT special was just awesome. All the food was great here. I ate their twice in one week! Good home cooking and the English muffins and waffles are perfect! Love this place and the hostess Emily was so nice!! We enjoyed this place and will be back! read more

If you are looking for a better than average breakfast experience this is a good one, just beware, no Coke products, if that means anything to you. Very similar in style and execution to many other breakfast places in the area. Everything was on par with the exception of no Coke products, only Pepsi (-1 star). That's a deal breaker for me. It was kind of cool that the namesake if the restaurant is on site and working and adding positivity to the experience (as well as his best friend apparently). We had the Power Breakfast and the veggie omelet, both with subs, and they came out correct and good. The hash browns are the shredded style (good). read more

My wife and I tried Eddie's Diner for the first time today and we were very pleased. It's a family-owned business which is exactly the type of restaurant we tend to seek out. I had the B.A.T. Bene (Bacon Avocado Tomato) and it was done to perfection, a unique twist on the traditional Eggs Benedict. My wife tried the Swedish Pancakes with Chicken Apple Sausage. Melted in her mouth she says. Coupled with great tasting and hot coffee (can't stand lukewarm coffee no matter how good tasting it is), you can't beat it. We'll definitely be back. read more

Service was great. Cinnamon pancakes were delicious. Muffin on the BAT Bennie was very hard and hard to cut and chew. Felt that $4 a piece for OJ and $3 for coffee, was a bit too pricey. But, will go back for the pancakes and service. read more

Great food, excellent service, great ambience. Comfortable and ample space. Food with great flavor and great portions. Staff was extremely nice and very informative. My waitress Mariana knew the menu and checked up on me at the adequate time. Helped bring laughs and comfort to the table. Will go back again when in the area. Same waitress different dish. Love love love this place! I'm here once a week. Never had bad service or a bad meal. Their food is fresh and you can tell the quality is above others in the area. They have the beyond burger now too!!!! Lots of vegetarian options. Lydia (the owner) is always checking in the dining room for service and quality! Their breakfast is unique and delicious! Not your typical "greasy spoon" either. Definitely the best breakfast place in Plano. read more

Stopped for a late breakfast on our way home from DFW Airport after completing an early morning flight from Pittsburgh. We had a great breakfast and were not rushed. The service was great and the food was really good. Just what we were looking for. We have been to Eddie's before and like it very much. read more

The food was decent but the service is awful. Not once did they come by to refill tea (and there were only 2 customers in there and 4 waitresses). We had to go to the desk to ask for our check and the credit card machine wouldn't work (several tries). They don't seem ready to provide good service! read more

AMAZING!!! The best breakfast/lunch place in Plano!!! HANDS DOWN-THE BEST!! Don't waste your time and money going anywhere else. Lydia, the owner works there every day to ensure the best service and food possible! We go there every weekend. I literally look forward to Sat & Sun breakfast because it's that good. Homemade biscuits, fresh squeezed OJ and amazing sweet tea. I always get the skillets and biscuits which are perfect. You can't beat the service and quality of food here. Nothing else compares. Trust me, visit once and you will fall in love with this restaurant. It's so nice to walk in and Lydia knows my name and is happy to see me every weekend. It's literally like eating at your family's place with amazing food and service. read more

Came here for breakfast last Saturday it was packed. Although it was a little bit slow that was expected because of how many customers were in there. The hosts and servers were very friendly which is what I like. Warm and friendly service is usually the first thing I look for when I walk into a restaurant that tells me whether people have pride in their work. The food was good and the prices were reasonable given the high rent district. I would definitely go back and recommend people to try. The owners are on site so they make sure that the ship is steering in the right direction. Definitely way better than your typical Denny's or IHOP chain restaurant. read more
