Edgartown Pizza staff have high integrity as I lost my credit card in the pizza parlor and a customer returned it to EP staff who kept it for 4 days and returned it when I called. " Yes, we have it." I have been here numerous times and enjoyed the pizza every time , most recently the veggie pizza. The dough was a bit thicker than my preference but it was tasteful and fresh. So we usually have Edgartown House of Pizza once during our yearly visit to the island. It has been predictable and decent. Well. We got in yesterday and ordered dinner late - a cheese pizza, a veggie pizza and a meatball sub. The sub and cheese pizza were standard. The star of the show was the veggie! It was loaded with veggies, the crust was crisp and it was so cheesy and delicious. I think we ordered extra cheese. The best veggie pizza I have ever had. We are from Boston and we enjoy amazing Italian food and pizza from the North End. This veggie pizza was beyond the beyond. I can't believe how a business can mess up a pizza but this place does that. Ordered a half buffalo chicken and half barbecue chicken pizza. The pizza took quite awhile ans when it came out there was a thin crust, some sauce, overcooked cheese and one half indeed did have prices of BBQ chicken but the other half and deep fried chicken finger cut in pieces. The *most* disgusting topping ever. I have had this combo at many other pizza places and the buffalo chicken is cooked, not fried ever and tossed in a buffalo sauce. Usually with red onions and sometimes places add cilantro. This was only pieces of chicken on a crust sprinkled with bbq sauce and the aforementioned awful fried chicken fingers that had no spice whatsoever. All burnt beyond recognition. The crust was the consistency of thicardboard. This colossal mess cost $25. In addition, the counter staff just sat the entire time on their phones and when they had to serve the pizza, no hand washing nor use of hand sanitizer. Might be nice if management went over the science of hygiene and food handling. This was by far the worst "pizza" I have ever had the misfortune to eat. Unfortunately for us this and another pizza place was the only place open in Edgartown. Never again. This was vomit worthy so-called pizza. read more

On the island for business and walked to this place for lunch as it is close to the Edgar Hotel. Was greeted promptly with lukewarm greetings by the guy behind the counter I assume was the owner. He wasn't rude or mean just wasn't welcoming or friendly. Ordered a pizza with pepperoni and extra cheese. Pizza arrived fairly quickly. Kind of flat and greasy style pizza. Taste was okay at best- not the worst I have ever had but not great either. Definitely not worth the $19.28 for the pizza and two cans of soda. I wish now I would have tried the other foods they had on their menu as others seem to enjoy theirs. Big thumbs up to Edgartown Pizza! I mentioned to the lovely employee that I had Celiacs and requested the gluten free crust. The manager overheard my discussion and asked to speak with me. He expressed a lot of genuine concern about my condition and explained the restaurant's limitations (gluten free crust available but not a gluten free kitchen). He personally delivered my GF pizza and we talked more about the GF world. Pizza was amazing! If concerned about cross contamination, may not be the place for you, but I don't have significant concerns with that and very much appreciated this restaurant for their candor and delicious GF option. read more

The pizza was easily one of the worst pizzas I have ever had (I got their version of the meat lovers), and I eat a lot of pizza. Very greasy even by meat lover standards. Bland sauce. Crust was nothing to write home about. While it is hard to make an excellent pizza, it is also hard to make a really bad one. This was a really bad one. I stopped in the Edgartown pizza Shoppe once this past Memorial day weekend for a dinner time sub to eat before a night out with the fellas. I wanted to indulge my steak cravings with a large steak and cheese so I ordered one. I kept it simple ordering a large steak and cheese with american cheese, nothing on it to go. The order took longer than I expected for such a simple order and when it arrived I expected a larger sub that was wrapped. After returning to the house I opened the sub and the cheese was basically laid on the steak after it was placed in the sub roll and was not even melted in the meat. The sub tasted just awful. After a few bites the steak was overcooked, burnt and dry. The steak was tasteless and after paying eight bucks for this awful sub I felt ripped off. If it wasn't for the fact that I was going out in less than a hour, I would have returned to the Edgartown pizza shoppe and asked for either my money back or another properly prepared sub. How in blazes can you screw up a simple steak sub!!. I will not make the mistake of going to the Edgartown Pizza Shoppe again. read more

There is plenty of room for lager groups inside. A open floor plan and pretty clean. There is a large display cases of cakes which actually looked really good. I had a meatball sub with cheese.
