Me and a few friends went to Edgewater Tap & Grill last Friday night and had a great time! I wasn't familiar with Kannah Creek Brewing so I was very happy to see they had a good IPA, the Broken Oar IPA had a nice hoppy bite to it. I think everyone in our group of 5 found a different ale to their liking. Edgewater has most of the ale bases covered, from a blonde to a stout and everything in between. We started with some cheese curds, which were lightly battered and came with ranch. A great start for all of us and went quite nicely with the first couple of rounds. For dinner I had the Executive burger (sautéed baby bellas, caramelized onions, beef demi glace, horseradish white cheddar) and that was downright tasty. It could have used some more horseradish flavor, and the cheese was kind of lost really. Maybe go with horsey sauce and more cheddar? The fries were also good, not sure if they were cut on site but there were very fresh tasting. Everyone else was happy with their meals too, and we all said we'll be back for more. read more

Something has changed at Edgewater. Two months ago I would have said they had the best burger in town, The Rado was my favorite. I went the other night and got my usual. The hamburger patty was small and tasted like it had been grilled then frozen then warmed up and served to me. The patties I remember were fresh, big, and cooked to order. The bun was bland and generic. Edgewater used to make their own buns which were substantial and delicious. The beer is still good, but the food coming out of the kitchen is subpar. I would recommend getting a beer at Edgewater but avoid the food until they start making items fresh again and stop ordering premade grossness. read more

My beer was not good. It had little flavor. My wife's was average at best. The menu was bar food; nothing appealed to me.

We chose Edge Water Brewery because my Dads memorial service was close at the Veterans park. We reserved the back room for 75 after the service. The food was pork sliders coleslaw and Mac n cheese &chips. We said 2 pm. We got there and there wasn't even seating set up for 40. We had to drag tables and chairs in ourselves! They had one waitress for all of us. She did the best she could! The food did not come out until 250 the cook said he was told 230! Not so. This was planned way in advance. The drinks took about 30 min. Of course one waitress can't do it all. Oh and she was waiting on people in front too! When my sister asked a man if he was helping he said No his minions did that he was the owner . He appeared to be drunk and did nothing to help. The food was ok but they did not have enough mac n cheese or cole slaw that we paid for! They ran out! The bartender was nice and tried to help w/ soft drinks any alcoholic drinks were on people's own dime. it was a complete crap show w/ an owner right there not giving a crap about anything but his own drink. Our server looked to be about 7 mo. PG and did as good as she possibly could. She was tipped very good too! This owner is an absolute jerk! We just came from the burial of our Dad and had to move tables in ourselves not enough food and one sever for 75 people. We only ended up w/ 60 but paid for 75 ! This was a big bill and this owner should be ashamed! But I'm sure he is not because people drunk at 2 in the afternoon don't care. Apologies if he was not drunk but it sure looked like it. Also a Jerk saying his employees were his minions! He lost good business because we have a huge family that often meets in Grand Junction. We thank Jeramy and Ashely for doing the best they could. The cooks however need to up their game! 2 is not 250. Don't run out of food paid for! when we were leaving at about 4 there were 3 servers on and one said she couldn't believe they didn't schedule more staff! We couldn't believe it either! What a treat that this brewery was near the River Canal trailhead in Grand Junction CO. Had the Chlli Cheese brat and hubby had Short Rib melt; paired w/IPA and seasonal Cherry Tripel. All outstanding. I wish we had more time to sample rest of the offerings; homemade dressing, best onion rings I've ever had and more beer on nitro. If you're in the area, time it with some outdoor concert venues that are in hearing distance and it's a great day. read more

I am still trying to figure out why you can't see the river from a place called the Edgewater Brewery. I had the fish and chips which were pretty good. The waiter was hard to locate when we needed the check, but otherwise it was a pleasant lunch. The bathrooms were very nicely decorated. I especially liked the stone/steel tile job. read more

Great food, beer and service!! Had the BBQ burger with balsamic French fries and an IPA. Super fresh and superb service. Highly recommend!!

Logan was our waiter and he gave it his 100% to keep up with demand but you could see that it was difficult for him. His area was far too large and the place was too busy for him to accommodate everyone. My Husband had the pork sliders and they were so-so. I had the vegetarian nachos. The chips were stale, the cheese was not melted and there was chicken in my "vegetarian" dish. The Cilantro sauce that came with the nachos was outstanding though. We had the amber ale which was good. The rest of the meal was not. We don't believe we would return. read more

Went here several times during my 6 week clinical rotation. Beer options are all solid and good. I preferred their brown ale (the Scottish) and their black bride stout. They also had a list of mixed drinks that all look really tasty as well. Of their food options I had their fried green beans, cuban and fish and chips (not all at the same time). The first time I went there I was in their back room area and I think I was forgotten cause i was the ONLY person back their. My experiences after that were great and the staff was attentive and accommodating. read more

Let's start with how welcoming and friendly the entire staff was, right when we opened the door we were greeted and seated. Personally my favorite part was the extensive amount of beer and the knowledge the bar tender had about every bottle and tap she was serving. My wife and I were offered a large number of samples and were not compelled into buying a single one, but unlike many breweries we have visited the staff was not reluctant to offer samples because it seemed they were proud of what they were serving. Finally the food was absolutely amazing, my chili dog was delicious and my wife's burger was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. We will be visiting again in the future and will recommend this awesome spot to all our military friends and family! read more

Visiting friends in Grand Junction Dec 22. Love craft beer being from the Portland OR area. Thought i'd sample the local beer. Humm well tasted the seasonal special beers found them all to be way outside the named style, unbalanced and hard to drink. The one exception was what they called " Imperial Irish Cherry" which more closely resembled a Kriek Lambic. read more

Mediocre, uninspired beer. Barely passing food. Sure, the combinations look attractive. Sure, the ingredients seem satisfying. But, beware. The execution is the opposite of satisfactory. Run by the owners of Kannah Creek Brew Pub on 12th Street. This commercial brewery sits on the north bank of the Colorado River. It also has an upscale eatery with interesting food and appetizers to go with a selection of brews made right there. They host lots of events that support the local community. Get in there. Each time we go here it gets worse and worse. Such a bummer too because this location has a lot of potential. Each time we ask for specials they don't have any. EVERY time I try to order something they're out of it (this time they were out of wings). Also it's "sit where ever you'd like" seating; but after we got our drinks (10 mins after ordering them) they asked us to move to accommodate a bigger party. But the worst part is they were rude about it and expected us to move for the larger party. So we paid for the drinks and left. Check took another ten minutes. I had to laugh. That's the last time we go to this place unfortunately. read more

By far the best FU*$ing burger I have ever had!!! I ordered the Rado burger med rare and added an egg to it and it was ridiculously awesome. The fries are unique and delicious. The service was awesome. Kelly creates a friendly atmosphere behind the bar and is very knowledgeable when it come to the beer selection. I ordered the Black and Blue burger on fathers day. I had been wanting to go to this place a long time so we arrived early, before noon. It was a nice establishment, the employees were Super, but... the burger was grainy,and did not look or taste fresh. No blackened on it, just a huge blob of blue cheese that grossed me out. I love blue cheese but this blob was nasty. For $11.00, no tomatoe or lettuce or anything. The bun was dry and covered up the burger. I love burgers also, but that one was .....one i would NOT recommend. On the other hand, my husband loved the fish and fries. He also has had the club sandwich that was very large and good. read more

I'm new to the area and was excited about this place since it's close to home and has such a great space but I've been disappointed every time I've gone. The drinks and food are great, no complaints there! Service on the other hand.....a couple reviews mention a curly haired woman who is rude and they had issues with. I have suffered the same fate. Most recently, my husband and I went here for dinner and this woman walked right past us as we walked in and immediately changed her facial expression to annoyed and went to the bar to chat with people sitting there who were clearly friends of hers without a single word to us. Nearly 15 minutes of waiting, my husband and I stand up to leave when finally a man comes up to us and asks us what we'd like to drink. His attitude was great and is the only reason we sat back down and stayed. What is this woman's problem and why do you keep her if she obviously doesn't care about your customers, her job or your business? They weren't busy so maybe they had less staff and maybe our server was on break or in the middle of something he couldn't stop, that's fine, but to stand there right next to us chatting away with no greeting or update as to why we're left to stare at a empty table for so long is unacceptable. We had the same "friendliness" from this woman before but I was trying to give it another shot since everyone has a bad day here and there. Disappointed and don't think I'll be returning. read more

We have been going to Edge for the last few years once a week. The staff is great . Always happy and engaging with the customers. Great food and craft beers. The one glaring problem is the female manager. We usually spend about $60-$80 each time we are there. The entire time that we have gone, the manager has NEVER smiled or even said "Thank You". She does not even smile when seating customers I was raised around the food industry and this person has no business being in the service industry. Never going back because of her. read more

There is a group of us that came here, all of us from out of town. Let me start by saying the beer I had the chance to try was great and don't pass up the fried cheese curds!!! The reason I'm only giving 4 stars (one added for the nice comment below from management. I am hoping she didn't get in to trouble we weren't upset but happy the staff was able to work so well together) is because the bartender was HAMMERED and not attentive at all. She brought us two sets of drinks, never given to the right person, broke a couple glasses, was slurring, and tried to use the excuse that the mayor was at the bar. Of course she was doing shots and taking pictures with them so I understand that it takes a little extra time. ;-) We were very courteous considering she didn't put our drinks on the tab and we brought it to her attention because we didn't want her to be stuck with a possible extra tab but almost couldn't understand anything she was saying by the time we were ready to check out. I understand how the bar, regulars, and locals work. I was a bartender/bar manager for 12 years from the northwest to the south. I actually wanted to give a lower mark but the servers stepped in to make sure we got our food delivered, got our ticket, and were super friendly! Great place to take a group of friends for some drinks and food, if the weather is warm! The restaurant holds limited seating but also carries a great outdoor seating space to not only eat but play games like corn-hole. Edgewater has one of the best burgers in town. Build your own with a ton of options or order one of their creations! Delicious fries, delicious garlic fries and delicious onion rings! Cheese curds are amazing and the taco salad is awesome! I usually just get the hefeweizen, it's not bad...they also have yummy flavored lemonades! This is an awesome place for food and drinks. It looks like a large warehouse brewery on the outside, but it has a classy little restaurant inside. A smaller menu that focuses on happy hour finger foods, burgers and brats. I had the habenero burger. A fresh slice of grilled habenero topped the face of the meat and made for a delicious treat. *Update* As of 8-24-16. Too bad. This place started off great. The burgers used to be amazing, the service was spot-on, the beer fresh and delicious, but now I have to change my rating. Today I walked in and didn't even get an acknowledgement from any of the staff, even though I walked by someone who ended up being my server (granted she was training, but you still have to treat the customer like they're number one). Then I waited 5 minutes for a human to appear at my table, for a menu, which I didn't need because I've been eating almost the same burger here for 4 years. Finally had the waitress come over, and she did apologize for the wait, but why was there a wait to begin with??? There were absolutely zero customers inside, and about 2 customers outside. My order came. The beer was flat, the burger was the driest most flavorless patty of meat I've eaten since grade school cafeteria days, the bun was dry, the cheese non-melted and cold. On that note, I've noticed that last few times I've eaten here, the burgers keep spiraling down in quality. When I first started to eat burgers here, the menu stated that the burger meat was ground sirloin if I remember correctly. Then the menus changed and say nothing about the quality of meat. I asked, and no one knew or could say anything. Now, they taste like sad frozen patties from the food factory truck that come in a cardboard box. So if the server had offered to buy me a beer or take a buck off or something, I might have been okay with the terrible service, terrible burger, and flat beer, but I got nothing from her. Oh well, I'll be going to Bin 707 now for lunch when I want a consistently delicious burger, service and beer. I'll keep my original review below though. Has a young and fun vibe, good music playing, and I didn't see a single cantankerous crusty old local. Reminds me of certain brewpubs in my old stomping grounds--Ft. Collins and Denver. The beer is very good and my wife and I enjoyed our meals. The burgers are the best I've had in town and the menu seems more creative than most around. Will be back for sure, especially in the summer when we can sit outside. read more

2 of us came in on a Sunday night. The service wasn't very good. It took 3-5 min to get the waitresses attention that we wanted to order and then we were ignored. It took over 20 minutes to get our two burgers ad the we were ignored. No check back after we got our food. No refills for our drinks. I could have really used some ranch, but the server was no where to be found. On the upside the burgers we're amazing and tasted great. Best thing about Edgewater is their patio and expansive lawn to hang out on and play cornhole. Amazing views of the Grand Mesa and surrounding area. They have beer as well. read more

We came here on a Thursday with a group of 5. My first thought, the place is SMALL!!! Not a lot of seating for big parties. They do have an outside seating area that is a decent size, however it was cold when we came in (March 31st, I think), so sitting outside was out of the question. Our server was alright from what I can remember, nothing spectacular about him stood out. We all ordered some beers, which I have to say were pretty decent. I'm from Michigan and no one does beer better than the city of Grand Rapids (Beer City USA). I ordered Fish and Chips and they were fabulous along with the apple curry slaw. Pretty good food, not horrible service. May or may not be back. There are a few other breweries that I'll try first. read more

Went here on a Friday evening and the beer was great. They cover the spectrum from stouts to largers--everything I had was delicious. The food was good but it took about an hour hence four stars. Not sure if they source locally but seems like GJ would have lots of opportunity for that. The outside has a huge area with a stage where kids were running around having a blast.
