I took my 2005 Ford Escape to Edgar to see if he could possibly tune up the paint job because of sun exposure over the years.... the clear coat was flaking off and discoloration in the paint was in bad shape. I told him I didn't need it for awhile and to take his time getting it back to me. I picked it up last week...... when I pulled up and saw the car! Ed's scientific did a full rehab, repaint and extensive trim and bodywork on my 1966 Ford Mustang that I am restoring. Ed and his team are very friendly, responsive, hardworking and they do great work. Ed and Jenny are very personable and treat you like family when you walk through the door. They are in high demand so be prepared to be patient and wait on non-insurance /classic car projects but it's worth it for the end results. Ed did an amazing job with my classic Mercedes about 4 years ago. Color matching is a hard thing to do with these old colors, and they did an amazing job. Ed took care of this Porsche Cayenne front bumper dent (I'd hit a concrete pillar which dented and chipped the car). I asked other Yelp shops that had more reviews. They all quoted astronomical prices or said they'd have to order a new bumper. Something told me that wasn't right so I kept searching and came upon Ed. When I pulled into his shop, I noticed he was working on another Porsche Cayenne from a dealership. That's when I knew I was in good hands. Ed is super friendly and professional. He quoted me a price over text, which he kept when I showed him the damage in person. Other places would quote a higher number upon seeing the damage in person. Fast forward three days later (paint must dry completely; be wary of places that say same day service) and I picked up the car today. Not only does the bumper look spotless; he also touched up some paint job and oiled the trunk opener. The car was freshly washed. I couldn't even recall where the dent had been. I came to Ed's Scientific after I got rear-ended. They were recommended by my co-workers fiance. It was my first time dealing with anything of the sort, and they were super nice about it! Jenny is an absolute sweetheart, I must have called her a gazillion times! I took the car in so they could take pictures and estimates so they could send the quote to Triple A. It was going to rain in a few days, and with the damages on my car, it would've leaked in! So I called them to see if they could expedite getting the quote to triple A, and they did it within the hour! I could also tell that they try and find the best parts, because Triple A had them revise the quote because it was too expensive (of course they didn't word it that way...) When it was time for me to leave my car at the shop, Jenny called Hertz for me so they could pick me to get my rental, and when i picked up my car, they called Hertz to let them know that I was leaving it there. It was so hassle-free! My only gripe would be that it could be hard getting ahold of them sometimes, like when I tried to schedule my initial quote appointment, I needed to call a few times before i got through. But they are super nice, they do a great job, and they even cleaned/vacuumed the interior of my car! Which was unexpected but very much welcomed. Unfortunately, I was a victim of a hit and run accident. My car was parked at my home on the side street, and it was hit by a person who was under the influenced. The damage was severe to the point that my car had to be in the shop for over two months and the costs were over five figures. Nevertheless, the body shop was EXTREMELY friendly and helpful. Obviously I was still shaken by this accident and upset, but Edgar and his team were excellent. He told me what to expect and was able to take care of things from there. UNETHICAL! BEWARE! They will rip you off! I recently lightly scratched a coworker's car at parking lot. It was a few scratch lines on his back bumper. No dent, no other damage. The coworker took it to this body shop for repair with my insurance. When I saw the bill I was shocked -- it cost $563 to do touchups on the two lines (5.8 hours of labor + $115 dollars worth of paint!) When I called them, they could not explain why it took them almost 6 hours of labor the touchup paint and why the paint cost $115 for two 4-inch lines, all they could say is: "why do you care? Your insurance company is paying for this. " They took advantage of you and in the end refuse to do anything about it. By the way, they were not polite at all answering the phone when I called. I saw another negative feedback on the fact that they take advantage of you whenever they can. So it's not the first time they're doing this kind of thing and I'm not the only victim. read more

Unfortunately I have a history of car wrecker so I needed to have a body shop I can regularly attend and trust. Luckily Ed's scientific auto body has been the shop I trusted with my beat up Honda Civic. Edgar, the owner and his secretary Jenny have been there more than once to quickly arrange the repair of my car. They work fast and will always let you know ahead of time about the repair to find out if you want to proceed. On my last accident they quickly arranged a rental to pick me up from the shop and were even able to work it out with enterprise to match what my daily rental allowance from my insurance (no out of pocket!). They finished my car in less than a week and even patched a few dents I had on the paint. They asked me to come back a few weeks later for a free buffing and waxing which topped all my expectations and my car ended up looking better than before the accident. This was my third time using their services and I have no doubt I will return (if needed) and recommend it to my friends and family.
