We visited Edward's Steakhouse for the first time on Thursday night for my sister n law birthday. We were very impressed with the service. From the time we entered the restaurant we were greeted with a friendly smile and escorted to our table. The waiter was very friendly he catered to our needs. The food was delicious and sister n law was pleased with her filet mignon and The brisket was excellent. The ambience of the building was nice and pleasing. The piano music from the bar was great. We will definitely visit Edwards Steakhouse again. I forgot to say that the waiter brought out a slice of cheesecake with a candle on top for my sister-in-law's birthday. read more

Went last night for my first time, to celebrate dear friend's birthday. Had a reservation and got seated right away. Server was Elijah and was very attentive. Food was so good and came out timely. Birthday Girl received a free dessert (cheesecake) with candle and a card! All the staff that had a hand in our evening signed the card personally. Such a nice touch. Definitely a memorable evening. Our second time at Edwards was a great as the first time. Food was excellent with generous portions. Dressing for the salads is wonderful--l love blue cheese and it's some of the best I've ever had. Service was top notch--our server Blane was amazing. He was attentive without being intrusive or overbearing. Don't let his young age be a deterrent, he is courteous, friendly and takes great pride in his job--so rare among many of today's youth. We will be returning soon. read more

Myself and 3 others tried to come to Edward's for dinner at 8pm on a Friday. When we arrived, the door was locked with patrons inside and the hours posted on the outside stated they didn't close until later that night. When we tried to open the door the person working the front desk looked at us and just shook their head. She didn't have the decency to come speak to us, and made us feel like our business was not wanted. We will never return even though we didn't have the chance to even try their food. read more

We love the ambiance here. Stone walls, cozy booths and a few tables help make it acoustically one of the best places for a hearing-impaired diner. The piano music from upstairs trickles down and helps make Edward's a favorite in Clarksville. Food is also quite good. The green bean appetizer is a definite repeat. The lamb is phenomenal, perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked. It comes on a small bed of mashed potatoes, and the vegetables were a perfect side. We chose crème brûlée, and thoroughly enjoyed each bite. Service was confusing this most recent visit. The young server seemed confused about who ordered what, and kept trying to clear the table before we had actually finished. Definitely a great place for an upscale, civilized meal. read more

Just stinks a little when your having a nice dinner out with your daughter and son in law which you get to see once a year. No bread plates or appetizer plates, salt and pepper shakes offered. Water with no ice--I'm ok with it, but need to have carafe. Ordered battered mushrooms, filets, loaded baked potato, sautéed mushrooms and salads. Mushrooms were huge and rather tough. Filets were tender, would have ordered wellness differently if explained as we asked--one was really dry, but tender. Baked potatoes were not fresh. Bread was delicious, a wheat roll. Salad on was really good and the other salad there was dirty lettuce and a cap left on tomato--we differed on this dish--he said rather plain and mine was good. Sautéed mushrooms were delicious. First time here this evening for a date night with my husband, and I can say WOW!!! What a great great place!!! I highly recommend this quaint restaurant. The sangria was yummy. The food was incredible, highly recommend trying the wedge salad, it is a neat twist on an original wedge. Our steaks were cooked perfect and very tender. The service was great too, I highly suggest the server Satty. He was knowledgeable on the menu, made great suggestions, and was attentive. We had such a good experience I had to share. I think it's awesome how clarksville are businesses, and people in general have donated their resources and time to help our community these past few days. I have a friend who purchased a dinner and show package from the ROXY Theatre for 14 people at $70 each pre-paid. She's a nice lady who does these things for her church and senior groups. Unfortunately the dinner and show were to be on this past saturday but because of the tornado it was obviously cancelled. The ROXY was very gracious in refunding the theatre portion. However they said they could not refund the dinner amount or give a credit for it and that Edward's Steakhouse had the money and they won't refund or credit it. I tried calling to turn this into a good situation, or for clarification as to refund or non-refund policy and to let them know I would post, or write something about this. I was told they were too busy to talk and try in the hours when they are closed-which I tried several times already. I asked if I could be called back during non-business hours and got a pretty convincing "no. I am too busy during the day!" I feel sorry for the senior lady that purchased this package, she feels bad (and somewhat responsible for the seniors who are out the cost of the dinner (I don't know what that was). I ran a business myself for almost 40 years so I know it involves a lot of attention, but am I wrong here for thinking Where's the money? )(which might not be much to most people, but might be a lot to these seniors) read more

Hubby and I decided on a whim last night to treat ourselves and decided to finally check out Edwards. We arrived at 5pm and was told seating was limited to a table closest to the door or the piano bar as the rest were reserved. Reservations aren't required but are highly recommended for the weekend, she tells us. We selected the table by the door. Although a chilly evening, there was a small heater placed by the table so I didn't really mind the location. We had Coby and service and attention he showed was top notch! We decided to try to Spinach and artichoke dip for an appetizer and it was a decent choice. Way too many chips for the small cup of dip but it tasted fine. The complimentary bread I really liked. Warm and not too big..yum yum yum. Hubby and I chose the Edwards duet; 2 12 ounce sirloin steaks with 2 salads and 2 sides. For the sides we tried the garlic mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese. The steaks were the star of the show. One of the first restaurants we have been to locally that cooked his (rare) and mine (medium) perfectly. The seasoning was perfect! I very much enjoyed the salad. Very fresh with sliced mushrooms which both of us really enjoy. I wasn't a fan of the potatoes but he loved them. I think most would enjoy. I'm not a fan of pepper (I know I know, I'm weird) but if you are then I think you'll very much enjoy the potatoes. I liked the Mac n cheese too. The only let down were the drinks. They have a specialty cocktail and martini menu, select beers and wines as well. Hubby is Hispanic and was happy to see Modelo advertised but when he went to order was told they had none. He decided to try the old fashioned. I went for an Orange martini. Neither of us liked the flavors or blend. We have been spoiled since being in the military we have traveled a lot and had some amazing cocktails. At 10.00 each, we expected it to be perfected recipe. They were not. Other than that the water glasses stayed full, the food was very good and we had a lovely impromptu date night. I would like to return and try the tuna. That looks fab! My wife and I were thoroughly disappointed in our experience at Edward's. We wanted a nice meal to celebrate a birthday, and we should've gone elsewhere. We wanted local charm and to avoid the chain restaurants. The appetizer was amazing, the salad and rolls were also great. With that we had high hopes for our steaks. when the steaks arrived, they were well done, when we ordered medium. The server took them back to get new ones made. They came back blue rare! They went back again. It appears that the cook just put those steaks in the microwave because when they came back a third time parts were rare, parts were medium and some well done. The meat had lost all of it's juices as well. We settled and ate what we could. We ordered creme brulee for dessert. They burnt the top of it! We assumed when the bill came that we would be comped at least the dessert. Not a thing was removed from our bill. I would not recommend this place to anybody. Oh, Clarksville. This place is about as Clarksville as you can get. Not terrible, not amazing, just about a step above mediocre. 4 stars feels generous but the location and decor are nice, a live pianist in the bar area was cute, our server was friendly and the food arrived quickly on a busy Saturday night. If you're a fan of other places downtown then this might be the spot for you. If you're visiting from a larger city then don't get too excited. Steak was good, reasonably priced. The brisket platter is interesting, it comes sliced very thin and completely covered in a sauce. The mac n cheese is quite good and would recommend you upgrade your side to that. The garlic mashed potatoes were also delicious. The broccoli was soggy and plain gross. The salads were the saddest thing I've ever seen served to me at a restaurant, I got flashbacks of public school lunch line salad bar when eating it. But it's essentially complimentary with the meal so there's the silver lining. Bread was also mediocre, but free. Basically stick to the steaks (ok it's a steakhouse but there's plenty other options on the menu lol) and choose from the premium sides and you'll probably have a nice meal here. read more

The evening started out spectacular, but quickly spiraled down hill. The hostess and our server Elijah were both pleasant and competent. The establishment itself is unique and appealing with it's brick walls and red tablecloths. I'll say now it was a Saturday night and Edwards had a packed house. Quite a few large tables and the place was uncomfortably loud. Elijah checked on us, and then went to get us water while we looked at the drink menu. We ordered cocktails, which were average at best, and they were delivered quickly. Until the check we wouldn't see anything else delivered quickly. Appetizers and dinner ordered we waited, and waited. Elijah did refill our water glasses at some point, but still no appetizers. Finally (about 25 minutes in) Elijah showed up with our salads and a bread basket, explaining the kitchen was backed up with all the big tables and he wanted us to have something. Salads finished, we waited another 5 minutes before our appetizers came. The appetizers were good. I've had better oysters Rockefeller, but I've had worse. And we are in Clarksville Tennessee, which certainly isn't a seafood mecca. I enjoyed the battered mushrooms, my wife who is a mushroom aficionado, not so much. Now came another long wait before suddenly Elijah shows up with only my wife's steak (which was ordered medium well) claiming my medium rare steak wasn't ready yet, but he didn't want hers sitting in the window getting cold. It's a steak house first and foremost it's in the name (Edward's Steakhouse) how can you have a kitchen staff that can't put out steaks for a table of 2 at the same time? Totally unacceptable. Finally my steak comes, the thinest saddest excuse for a 16 oz ribeye I've ever seen. It was pretty much flavorless and deviod of any seasoning. I've had much more flavorful steaks at the chain places, for a much more reasonable price. They say their steaks are aged beef. I think the only aging they do is sitting in the window getting cold. All in all I'm pretty disappointed in this evening and honestly can't recommend Edward's. read more

My wife and I have been in the Clarksville area for less than a year. When we got here everyone I kept talking about Strawberry Alley and Blackhorse Brewery. We tried both places and were completely disappointed. Friends invited us out to eat and suggested here. We agreed but we're nervous about another repeat of Strawberry Alley or Blackhorse. We were totally surprised. This is such a great find for the downtown area. You will need reservations The service - our service was absolutely amazing. The staff was attentive, patient, and really understood the menu well enough to explain the menu. The food - finally a steak cooked as requested. We ordered steaks at medium. Usually we get steaks that are just a little over cooked. Edwards Steakhouse cooked it correctly. The atmosphere - the decor is a little strange and doesn't really flow but weirdly it kind of works. This is a place where you'll feel comfortable wearing casual or business. They prefer reservations and so will you. I was in town for work and was looking for a good local steakhouse. Great steak! I had the bacon glazed ribeye and it was delicious! I also had the twice baked potato and some onion rings that were just ok. Also had a couple of martinis and they were just ok. The steak was awesome! Full disclosure we had drinks and Apps in the bar area and, unfortunately, did not have dinner. I walked in with a dead cellphone. I asked the bartender, who was pretty busy, if anyone had a charger. She went out of her way to assist me. There were ~7-8 of us and we ordered a slew of Apps. The beef medallions, fried mushrooms, spinach artichoke dip, firesd green beans to name a few were delicious. Our bartender/server was spot on with drinks and attention. I also liked their draft beer selection, why yes I'll have a Yuengling please! Our local business partners said the food is excellent and I'm hoping I have the opportunity to return for dinner. We LOVE Edwards!s It is the best date night restaurant in Clarksville! The lighting is very intimate and the piano sets the mood. But the food.....is always on point! I usually go for the crab cakes. They are so so yummy. But last night I tried the Tilapia. They were even nice enough to put the lemon basil beurre blanc sauce on it for me! And OH MY!!! It was melt in your mouth good!!!! My husband had the Hazel's New York Strip. He said that Edward's knows how to gook a steak! He loved every bite of it! But I want to give a pat on the back to our waiter. We sat upstairs at the bar and Chris, the bartender, took care of us all night! (He also took care of every drink order that came through the restaurant) He was the hardest working guy I have ever seen! He was nice and attentive the whole time and he never stopped working!!!
