    Chicken Gyro Greek Fries

Generous portions and delicious gyros! Super fresh and flavorful. We were thoroughly impressed and satisfied! Service was quick and they brought our meal out to us. Outdoor seating was available, so we were able to enjoy our meal with enough space and have our dog sat at our feet.

Got Efi's to go and it was some of the best Greek food I've ever had. The gyro was delicious and super flavorful. The French fries were cooked to the perfect crisp and packed full of flavor. If you're in the mood for great Greek or Mediterranean food you've GOT to try Efi's!

We always visit Efi's when we want Greek food close to the originals you get in Greece. Efi's never disappoints and the staff are friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend their pork stick. The sauce they drizzle on top is to die for!

Stopped by for a casual dinner and was pleasantly surprised. I love Greek food but typically don't eat at more casual places. My fiancé and I ordered the chicken platter and it came with a good portion of food. The only downside is I prefer tender chunks of grilled (souvlaki) and this wasn't served souvlaki style. The salad was very fresh, the fries perfectly crispy, and the pita fluffy and warm. The tzatziki and efi sauce were both great! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and look forward to returning in the near future!

Cute and clean place with friendly service. Popped in for a chicken gyro which comes with tomato, red onion and crunchy fries. I added feta cheese on mine too. It was tasty but struggled to find any actual pieces of chicken and not just thin skin shavings of chicken. It was a little dry so got some more sauce. Not much tomato or red onion either. I've had gyros that were better so that's what I'm comparing it to. Had a bottle of sour cherry drink too. Yup, it's definitely sour. Overall, it's a nice place to go for a quick bite.

A solid fast causal spot, close to the Wellmont. We went here before a show to grab a quick bite, and I can say this place is great. We both started with rice bowls with lamb, and a Greek salad. The rice was fluffy and seasoned, the lamb was not overcooked, and the Feta tzatziki the bomb. The star of the show was the Efi's loaded fries!!!! Fries were crispy, the shaved pork was tender and the honey mustard greek sauce was sooo good. I will be back !

My favorite spot to grab a chicken gyro in Montclair. I love that fries are stuffed in this gyro. I always ask for tazeki sauce as it doesn't come with it. I enjoy trying their authentic Greek sodas as well. The owner Efi is always so kind.

The pandemic changed a lot of things. The way that I work changed. I usually skip lunch, or I eat at my desk while I'm working now. I don't see that habit changing any time soon. At this rate w/ inflation and some companies having to layoff folks... I'm thankful to have a job. Anyway. I was in New Jersey for work and stayed at a hotel about a block away from this place. I was flabbergasted because of the humidity, the fact that I woke up at 5AM EST to workout made my hunger pangs grew worse. I didn't eat anything all day and was looking forward to some solo dining. The one thing I love about traveling for work is that I get to enjoy a meal by myself. I don't get alone time. I ordered their grilled lamb platter, a diet soda, and a Spanakopita. I was expecting small squares or triangles, but it was fun eating a big slice. The lamb was so tender and flavorful. Like I wish the platter came w/ more! It's a deconstructed gyro. The fries were well seasoned. The tzatziki sauce was creamy and cooling. I don't like East coast summer. The meal was a perfect ending to my exhausting day. Service was wonderful.

I decided to give Efi's Gyro another try to explore more of their menu. Unfortunately, this visit didn't live up to my expectations. The flavors weren't as good as before, and the portions felt noticeably smaller. I left feeling disappointed and am unsure if I'll be back. Soggy pita, flavorless and mushy vegetables in the salad. Beh

chicken skin instead of actual Chicken Bowl

I ordered via uber eats for a group at work and i asked for a chicken rice platter - extra chicken w extra tzatziki sauce. what i got was a bowl of chicken skin & they ensured to fill the bowl w all chicken skin ONLY. I did call to advise but bc i work until 1030pm i am not going to be able to drive to have the food replaced. i am not pleased w the food and whoever prepped the food should be ashamed/ the food smelled horrible because it was chicken skin only - then the tzatziki sauce was spoiled. UPSET about not getting good food the first time! I should not have to travel for a replacement

Great fast casual place. Ended up here after a changed plan and we loved it. The place is busy with take out orders and they have a couple of tables to enjoy the food there. We got the lamb bowl, chicken bowl and a kids crispy chicken plate. The chicken and lamb bowls were delicious.Huge portions. The salad and the yogurt dip thay comes with are very tasty. The pita is perfect. The kids chicken plate was amazing as well.Loved the fries crispy and the seasoning was yum. Stop if you are in the area looking for some greek food.

I've been coming here for years!!! The most authentic Greek food I've had here in the states. Everything on the menu is a hit. The food takes about 10 minutes if you order in-person. Everything is fresh, tasty, and quality. There is limited seating indoors but plenty of additional seating outside to immerse yourself in the Montclair streetscape. I can't recommend this place enough. Fair warning: you will crave Efi's Gyro after trying it!

I was truly looking forward to enjoying this place because the Yelp reviews seem to rave about the…read morecozy atmosphere, wonderful service, and the fresh food preparation. But although I found the restaurant to be cozy and my server to be friendly, the food though freshly prepared was just average at best. Let me explain. So, after perusing the menu, I saw a few Mediterranean staples, such as, baba-ghanoush, lentil soup, and a beef Shawarma entrée. So I decided to order all three of those items. Now, let me tell you not only was I excited to taste the food here, but I truly wanted to experience what a majority of people on yelp said about this place and its food. But I soon discovered that you truly cannot trust other peoples opinions when it comes to food. You just literally have to try it yourself to see if it even resembles that cuisines standard benchmarks. Well anyway, let me get to what I thought about the food. The lentil soup it's pretty tasty, but it would serve lukewarm. The baba-ghanoush was also tasty, but the pita bread was stale and void of any flavor. And as for the so-called Beef Shawarma entrée, it was literally chopped up cubes of beef! Nothing near to what a standard Shawarma entrée should resemble, or let alone taste like! To be quite honest, I was so disenchanted with the Shawarma entrée that I asked my server to take it away and just give me the bill. I was ready to go! But my server genuinely saw my disappointment with this so-called Beef Shawarma that she pleaded with me to try another entrée. So I asked her to recommend another entrée to me. And she recommended the Skewered Chicken entrée. So, I caved in and went ahead and ordered this Skewered Chicken entrée. But I should've just went with my gut feeling and just should have paid the bill and left. I say this because it took forever for them to prepare this Skewered Chicken entrée and I mean forever! And this is on a Tuesday night with only two other people inside the restaurant, so literally this place was empty! (Not sure if the Cook made me wait for this dish out of spite for me sending back the first entree but that is my suspicion). Anyway, I got my server's attention and she told me if I could wait a few more minutes because they were plating my dish and that it will be out shortly. And that literally took another 10 minutes. To say that I was eager to get out of this place would be an understatement. I was standing up literally putting on my jacket when the dish finally reached my table. My server asked me kindly to return to my seat and to try her recommended entrée. So I gave her the benefit of the doubt and I did so. The Skewered Chicken entrée was a little better than the so-called Beef Shawarma entrée, but really nothing to write home about. What a letdown! I really wanted to give this restaurant one star, but my server really showed genuine concern about my dining experience. And I truly appreciated that. And so as for my take on Le Souk of Montclair NJ. I would caution spending your hard earned money at this restaurant. The food is mediocre at best and there are a lot of better options in the Montclair area for Mediterranean food.

Le Souk is one of those places that stays with you. The moment you walk in, it feels like you're…read morebeing welcomed into someone's home. The food is incredibly flavorful, everything from the creamy hummus to the smoky baba ghanoush to the juicy chicken shawarma tasted homemade in the best way. The pomegranate chicken was a standout, sweet, tangy, and full of depth. I loved the special brunch board-it had a little bit of everything! Chef Jumana has created something really special here. You can feel the love and intention behind every dish. It's BYOB, and they also have a small market inside with Middle Eastern spices and goods to take home. Can't wait to go back!
