This place offered more than expected. It only has 3.5 stars,which is unfortunate. They have happy, friendly, courteous, quick servers. Excellent food, service & prices! My favorite breakfast restaurant in Nampa. I've been there four times in the past month. THE best (cooked to order) thick flavorful bacon I have ever had. Breakfast for lunch...of course!! Stopped in for the first time and was greeted with very friendly staff. The restaurant is located in a strip mall so the layout is nothing special. The place does have a lot of chicken dolls in it.... I ordered the pig scramble (ham, sausage, bacon) with hash browns. I was also provided a bread side so I went with biscuit and gravy. I believe you can tell a lot about a breakfast joint in their gravy and hash browns. The scramble was cooked as expected with plenty of meat. Nothing crazy great to write about other than the eggs were a bit overcooked and dry. The biscuit was a bit dense and dry but I still ate the whole thing. The gravy had a decent flavor that I combined into my scramble. If you are looking for a traditional breakfast food joint, this would be a great spot. My scrambled eggs were under cooked and the color was very odd, The bacon tasted like it was the frozen bacon toy buy at the store and you cook it by the microwave. First time here. I really enjoyed my omelette. My husband and I shared our omelettes. He had the steak and eggs and I had, I believe it was called the everything omelette. Both of them were good. I'd have it again. Did not care for the pancake special...it was a banana and vanilla cream pancake. And I also had a biscuit and gravy which was one of the different options you could have with the omelette. I wish the gravy was at least warm so maybe it might've soaked up in the biscuit which I'm sorry to say was quite dry. Maybe that's how gravy and biscuits are supposed to be... Was looking for a nice breakfast with old friends we haven't seen in a while. After a bit of a wait, we were seated at 11:35. Soon came menus and coffee. Server Laura seemed annoyed it took us until 11:50 to give our order. Food was brought at 12:25 and was tasty! The check was brought and paid for with a 25% tip. No more coffee or water was subsequently offered. We quietly and respectfully enjoyed our reunion with our friends until 1:20 when our coffee and water cups were unceremoniously removed from the table first, and we were RUDELY told that we needed to clear the table because they were busy and people were waiting for our table. Understand there was no other reason to eject us. We are in our 60's, our guests are both in their 50's. No children were with us, and we were not in any way disruptive or disrespectful. From food arrival at our table to being rudely rejected was only 55 minutes. I didn't know there was such a short dining time limit. What started as a good experience was fully overshadowed by our early ejection from our breakfast experience. I tried to contact Brian, the manager, to inform him of our experience as I thought he would want to know (I certainly would if it was my restaurant.) I was informed that Brian did in fact receive my message. It has been 2 weeks now since I left two messages, still no call back so only one star. Too bad because food was pretty good. read more

The tortilla bowl was crispy and fresh, but not greasy. By the end of my salad, it was still crispy! The lettuce was not soggy, and the ground beef was flavorful. One of the things I like about the Egg Factory is that they are extremely consistent. I have been to several EF's around town and they all seem to have the same consistency. Wait staff has always been friendly and attentive. Meals seem to be better priced than most places around town and the portions are generally larger. If I am looking for a consistent, quick breakfast Egg Factory is my place to go. Nothing here has really stood out for additional stars but definitely good and consistent. read more

My husband and I visited on Monday for a very rare breakfast date. I ordered a very simple breakfast that came with bacon. They were busy but we weren't in a huge hurry. When our food finally came out my bacon was very undercooked. The waitress commented on how she thought the bacon was undercooked and offered to take it back to have the cook fix it. I said, yes, please. She pulled out a smaller plate, rather than taking my whole plate back to the kitchen, and as I started to grab the bacon for her she took it off with her fingers for me. I have 3 kids, normally stuff doesn't gross me out, but waitresses deal with money and who knows what else. She brought the bacon back, this time cooked perfectly, but knowing that it had been touched by her I didn't think I was going to eat it. She asked me to wait to eat it, that it had just came off the stove. She took care of her other tables and came back to check on us. She asked if it was okay, I worked up the courage and I told her that I probably wouldn't eat it. I asked if it was the same bacon from before, she said yes, and I told her that I didn't want to eat the bacon that she had grabbed from my plate. She took the small plate and said, I'll take care of this. I told her it was okay and she took off. Here she comes again. Puts my plate on the table, this time the bacon (the same) is petrified. TOTALLY GROSS. The kind of bacon you touch and it turns to dust. She said, "I didn't touch this." Fills my coffee while reaching across my plate "accidentally" touching the coffee decanter on my toast in the process (not going to eat it now, those are gross). We get up to leave, she doesn't acknowledge us. Oh well, don't waste your money or your time. We never get to go out on dates, but when we do get a chance to go again, rest assured, we will never go to the Egg Factory where it is okay for the waitstaff to handle your food with their fingers. I went on a busy day right before Christmas, many families were served there. The place is hidden in a strip mall between other stores but they have parking lot right around the vicinity. At first I wasn't impressed in how they handle customers that just walked in, everybody was busy and no one try to take names for waiting list, we had to wait at least 15-20 minutes until someone actually talked to us. I understand it's busy but putting a name on a list takes about 30 seconds at most. But after our name was taken we only had to wait another 15-20 minutes and we were seated in a large table since there were 7 of us. The servers were fantastic, they were friendly and fast in taking out orders, we ordered many different creations from the menu and all were delicious, not anything beyond ordinary but it's good food. Portion is big enough and it's priced well. The area is not spicy and span but clean enough. I would give it a 3 and a half star overall. It's a good place to have breakfast with family, we will be back for sure. read more

I am a huge egg factory fan (especially this location). I would have given this place 5 stars but I did have an off experience recently on a week day that really had an impact on when I will be re-visiting. That being said I would definitely recommend the chicken fried steak. It has a unique batter (I say it tastes like onion ring batter) and is a healthy portion of food. The kids love their pancakes with sprinkles and/or chocolate chips and they are VERY affordable for children. I'll be going back and would encourage others to give them a try. read more
