So me and my mom,looking for a place to get some breakfast, and not wanting a chain, happened up on this place via Yelp. This was absolutely a fantastic find. We were greeted very promptly and was told we could choose where ever we like as it wasn't too busy. After the drink orders were placed, we opened our menu to a nice varitey of breakfast and brunch options both traditional and south of the border. I opted for traditional Biscuits and sausage gravy and scrambled eggs. Mom, went for pancakes, potatoes and scrambled eggs as well. Drinks were tea's. So while we waited for our order's to be prepared, I was glancing around. Looks like it was a former Taco Bueno converted into this gem. The restaurant is nice and clean and the ambiance is very laid back. This is a place where you can have a great meal and chill and enjoy some conversation! Had a nice energy to it. We got our meals in what I feel was a very appropriate time from ordering to receiving. Cause you want your food to be done right. Holy crap ya'll. First off, the presentation on the plates was nice. Normally what I get is just sat on the plate then covered in gravy. Nope, laid in a nice little line. Makes you know to chef in the back takes pride in cooking and presentation. My mom's plate with eggs and potatoes where laid out in a pleasant appearance. Now on to the holy crap part, these were absolutely the fluffiest Biscuits I have ever consumed. They were so easy to just cut with a fork and they chewed well in your mouth! They were absolutely delicious. Me and mom both stated out scrambled eggs were also very fluffy, and not over seasoned with salt or pepper. Here potatoes had a good seasoning on them as well. I did sample the pancakes and they too, were just the absolute fluffiest we have eaten in ages. And when we were done we were full but didn't feel the food sitting heavy! The price is more than fair, but we intend to come back with my husband and kids next time we are in the area. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good meal, with great flavor in a setting that is very down to earth and welcoming. read more

First time visit, won't be last. The family goes out to Diner like restaurant every Saturday morning. Picked here today. Food was very good with standard Diner menu items and many specialities that make it unique. I had a green chili & pork covered omelette with home fries. Very good, would have again. Not overly spicy but enough to meet my tastes. Service was excellent and always ready to meet needs. The place was clean and in good shape. I really wish I thought to take a picture before I devoured the corned beef hash, but holy f*** was it delicious. Wife had the chilaquiles with chorizo, which actually may have been better than the hash. Service was great, super personable, and definitely added to the experience. We went here on a Saturday for breakfast. If was purely by accident. I was hungry for huevos rancheros and so I put that in Yelp and Eggcellent came up. We went there and a young man by the name of Micah came to wait on us. He was very nice, friendly, and treated us like family. I did have the huevos rancheros and my wife had the eggs Benedict. Both were very good but the huevos were a bit soupy. I mentioned this to Micah and he said next time to ask for less sauce and to have them drain the beans. I did have bite of my wife's Benedict and it was really good. We usually try not to got to the same restaurant twice when we are away, but Eggcellent was so good that we went back the next day. This time, I ordered the breakfast burrito with bacon, and it came with home fries. I was unsure of which salsa to getting she brought me one of each. The hot was a little too hot, but the medium green salad and the milder red were both good. I bookmarked Eggcellent by and if we are in Tulsa, we definitely will be dropping be. I do highly recommend this cafe. read more

They do all their rolls and biscuits from scratch/in-house and it was the best breakfast I have had in Tulsa. Manager was so nice, seemed like an amazing local spot, if I didn't want them to get business I would just keep this spot to myself so it wouldn't be busy; but they're just too nice and the food is too good not to give them a shout out. Arrived for lunch at 11:15. Busy, but not crowded. Greeted immediately by Micah and allowed to choose our seats. Micah was also our server and he was great. The menu has many interesting items, breakfast, lunch and many Mexican items. She got the Traditional Breakfast with over-easy eggs, crispy bacon, fruit cup and biscuit and gravy ($12.50). I got the Huevos Rancheros with over easy eggs ($10.99). Both meals were excellent. We also each go small Mimosas ($5.50). Found this spot while on a Route 66 road trip and I have never had such a delicious omelet in my entire 43 years of life! The pigs in the garden omelet, substituted sausage for bacon, with a bowl of fresh fruit and side of biscuit with gravy and a mocha iced coffee, simply incredible! I don't know how the chef does it but.... Speechless! The rest of my group enjoyed the French toast, pancake platter and the classic breakfast! Micah greeted us at the door with a warm smile and was incredibly friendly. Free refill on our iced coffee! And sent us on our way with to go cups. A true treasure and must go to spot!! read more

This is a fusion place of American-Mexican food. The restaurant itself is tucked away in a safe, semi-industrial part of town. The place is bright, clean, fresh as the food and offers super friendly, attentive service. The owner is actually the cook, so you know everything is made with loving to the highest standards. I had the 2 pork chops from the lunch menu for breakfast. Cooked perfectly! The veggies were cooked perfectly as well. Dinner rolls weren't ready yet, obviously, so I substituted a biscuit & it was perfect w/my mashed potatoes & gravy. Emma, our waitress, was pleasant, friendly & a super lady. I saw this place on FB Tulsa Restaurant Reviews and decided to try it out as my husband likes breakfast and I like lunch options. The restaurant is a converted Taco Bueno around 11th street and Garnett. They have done a pretty good job of changing the look of it. You are seated by a host and they take your order at your table. Our server was a very friendly and seeking to please young man named Mica. He asked if we had any questions and genuinely wanted to help. First off I asked if they had flavored coffee creamer and yes they have French vanilla. So husband ordered coffee and I ordered Diet Coke which I am a fan of vs Diet Pepsi. So off to a good start! I asked if the full menu is offered all day and Mica assured me that yes it is so I said I would need more time to decide as there were several interesting choices. When he came back I ordered the Camaron a La Diablo and we discussed the level of heat in the sauce. I asked if I could have the grilled shrimp with the Diablo sauce on the side in case it was too hot and he said that was not a problem. My husband ordered the huevos rancheros with a side of flour tortillas. Mica said they were fresh but we don't think they are made there. When the meals arrived the huevos rancheros was a little different presentation than my husband is used to but once he figured out the eggs and beans were layered between two corn tortillas instead of on top he said it was good but a little spicy for him. Unfortunately my dish arrived with the sauce mixed with the shrimp and I could tell it was going to be very spicy. Mica apologized as he set down the plate and explained that he had noted the requested change on the order and it was just a miscommunication with he and the chef-not my fault at all. He offered right away the option to keep it or return it. I tasted the sauce and knew I would prefer it without and he said no problem and it would take only 5 minutes to fix. Very nice and accommodating which I appreciated. I have included a picture of the corrected order. Mica frequently checked on us, offered drink refills, to-go boxes or to-go drinks. When he presented the bill he said he deducted the drinks because of the order mishap and recognized that our meals weren't able to be enjoyed at the same time. We will go back and hope to be seated with Mica again. He gets a 5 and the food a 4. read more
