This has amazing food. Ordered the avocado toast and it was delicious, well seasoned and an ample portion. The classic oatmeal had a large serving of berries. Great customer service. The wait was fine considering it was a Saturday morning, but there was no way to leave your name on a waitlist so parties were sat out of order. There was no host/hostess so a variety of servers were trying to seat different groups at different time, very disorganized. I was in a group of four and two of us were served food while one was still waiting for their coffee. The other two of us waited for our food for an additional 20 minutes. It was super unprofessional, they couldn't even bring out 4 coffees at the same time. Good thing our order wasn't messed up because we were never checked on. It was my first time in Philadelphia, visiting for a concert. I was super hungry so I went here as a recommended spot close to Apple Hostel. After I ordered my food, I went to find a place to sit down and the only table available was dirty. I asked if I could have a rag so I could clean it (I'm a server so I understand when it gets busy). I was sitting at the table and the girl came over and starts wiping the table to where the food was flying toward me. I said, "wow, thanks a lot..that's pretty rude though". Usually, when you wipe a table, you wipe to gather the food so it doesn't go flying at the customer. I didn't get too mad because I think she may have been incapable or was new. She didn't say she was sorry or talk to me at all. Then, later she gave me a sugar donut. She still didn't say anything. Sometimes people just want a verbal acknowledgement. Some customers are still jerks even when you say you are sorry, but at least the manager could have said something if the girl is mute. The French toast was really good! The music was really depressing and it added to more of my sadness. If I visit, I will just order Togo. read more

We just blew in from Texas and were told this is the best breakfast location within walking distance to Penn's Landing. They're wrong - BEST breakfast we've had in years. My husband chose the Tex Mex and loved every bite. I went with the Eggspectation. So very yummy. Ashley was super helpful with tourist questions. Everyone was so nice. Worth the wait! I ordered around 10:30 on a Sunday morning and was immediately notified that it would be around a 35-45 minute wait to pick it up. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to every customer waiting for their order, the kitchen isn't that big so I can totally understand the back up on a weekend morning. We are visitors and searched Yelp for a good breakfast spot near our hotel with indoor dining since it was a chilly morning. This place was incredible. Delicious breakfast sandwich and a breakfast plate. Good coffee. We sat and watched the Monday morning delivery and noted that all ingredients were extremely fresh and high quality. I had the pleasure of checking out this place today with my partner and we were both thoroughly impressed and satisfied with the food. We ordered the Eggspanola and Huevos Burrito and they were both fantastic, filled with flavor, and large portions. The location is cute but on the smaller side and seating is first come first serve. This place has so much potential, but really fell short. Stepping inside, I immediately noticed the restaurant didn't seem fully ready or organized for customers. There were boxes stacked in the back of the seating area, a little ladder set up, dust everywhere. Really, everywhere. It was very off-putting. The outlet next to my table wasn't covered yet. Seemed like they rushed their opening, and it showed. In terms of service, I experienced the same as some other reviewers - very, very slow and not enough in stock. I went early on a Saturday morning, and they were out of everything bagels. Ok, fine. Then I notice the hostess telling another table they ran out of mozzarella, for a salad that featured mozzarella. The patron said she would prefer just changing her order, but instead, the chef ran out to the corner store to buy more. While I can appreciate this extra effort, it slowed down everyone else's service. The mozz was also billed as "fresh mozzarella".... from the store I guess? I just hope the chef washed his hands before continuing to cook. All of the food came out at different times, so nobody was eating together, at my table or at others. And unfortunately, the food itself was thoroughly mediocre. As someone who loves eggs and all things breakfast food, I had such high hopes for this cute neighborhood place. I feel like if they streamlined their menu to just the classics, truly featuring eggs in a few signature sandwiches and other dishes, things would run smoother. I have tried pretty much everything on the menu and it has all tasted great. The staff are super friendly - they have remembered me since my second visit and always wish me a nice day. The granola is nice if you want a light breakfast - it is the perfect sweetness for me and has my favorite fruits. The Benedict's are yummy and very filling. The salads are tasty and the chicken always seems very fresh and well cooked. Sometimes you have to wait more than at other places, but I think that is because they cook every from scratch when you order so the quality is better and it is worth the wait! read more

Wow. Best breakfast I have had in a long time. Technically, I guess it was breakfast because I ate it in the AM. Had the fiery chicken sandwich. Phenomenal. Fried chicken and a fried egg on brioche with Vietnamese Bahn mi sandwich style pickled vegetables (daikon, carrots, etc.) with a spicy sauce. Wife had some of the best breakfast tacos I have ever seen! Chorizo and scrambled eggs with all the typical taco accoutrements one could want. 5 stars on food. We arrived when it wasn't very busy and put orders in right away. Food came out in about 15 minutes. Small spot with what I saw one chef in the kitchen and one server handling orders and the register. That being said, I can see how previous reviewers can have issues with what they would perceive as slow service. I see it as not as a fast food type joint serving breakfast. It takes time to make food this fresh and tasty. Well worth it. The staff was very nice and took pride in what they were doing. If I'm ever in Philly or even NEAR Philly again, I'm stopping in for breakfast to see what the other dishes taste like! read more
