The menu was impressive;y extensive with lots of variations on serval different themes, providing something for everyone. I had the bacon. Sammy (shown) that was good with a home made bun, although the coffee was barely passable being lukewarm and weak,. Service was fast, accurate, and efficient. Another bonus is the likely Vietnamese ownership that was manifest in the correct spelling of Bành Mí and other Vietnamese items such as plentiful Sriracha sauces, that added a welcome foreign flare to American-style foods. I had an awesome brunch experience here yesterday. The interior is beautiful and I enjoyed the music. All staff were friendly and accommodating. My California Benny was great. The eggs were perfectly poached and topped with hollandaise (looser than what I've had before but I liked it). There was plenty of bacon, and crispy and flavorful potatoes. I love that the bread was easy to cut into. My friend and I shared the berry cheesecake French toast. We were delightfully surprised that even the cream cheese was strawberry flavored. The fruit tasted very fresh as well. We also ordered some drinks. My friend's Vietnamese iced coffee was very strong (Vietnamese approved). I came here for a quick brunch with my friend and this place has impressed us. It was very busy during lunchtime on a Monday. People were waiting in line to get seats, but it doesn't take long. They have so many options of food and drinks on their menu. Also the price is very reasonable with a great portions. First we tried the seasonal holiday drinks, I had the peppermint mocha and my friend had the hot caramel cider. They both were great! Just the right amount of sweetness. Then we ordered the Berry Cheesecake French Toast, this was not as sweet as I was expected, which I like it a lot. We also had the Green Goddess and it was Eggcellent! Fantastic breakfast spot in Old City, perfect for curing a hangover. I loved the Vietnamese-inspired breakfast dishes, such as the sausage, egg, and cheese on a bagel with crisp, fragrant cilantro and cucumber. The food here was so good! The Brekkie bowl had this beautiful mix of pickled onions and jalapenos (the type that feels tingly in your mouth and less spicy). The egg was perfectly runny. One thing I would say was that I was not expecting the short wait time. Both to get a table (we went on a Sunday morning at 11) and to receive the food. They took a little to take our order, but made up for it when our food came out quickly. The wait staff was also super friendly. The spot itself was small, but not crowded. There were a lot of plants and earth tones which made it modern but also comfortable. I would definitely come back regularly. This is a cute brunch place right on Chestnut street close to Front st. I went here with my daughter around 11am on a Friday and it was pretty busy. They had about 3 empty tables, but it took the server well over 5 minutes for us to get seated. There was only one server still getting the order from 2 tables so I understood with staff shortages they were doing what they can do. However, it would have been nice just to be acknowledged that they see us and they will get to us soon. During this waiting process one of the customer ahead of us left because of the wait. Once we got seated everything went smoothly. I ordered their eggzilla, and rose oolong tea, and my daughter ordered Philly Benny. The food came out relatively fast, and the service was attentive. My order was supposed to come with avocado, but didn't (no big deal in the end, but kind of sad). Aside from this mishap the food was very good, flavourful, and plenty. I really loved how they cooked up their potatoes - really crispy exterior, but moist interior. My daughter also enjoyed her dish, Philly Benny; it was filled with thinly shaved beef, poached eggs over brioche buns with hollandaise sauce. Really cute brunch place that specializes in eggs. I love the yellow door in front as it's bright and cheery. I wasn't feeling too hungry and I'm also not a huge spice person until the morning so I wanted something light enough but provide enough energy for a later lunch. Decided to get the De Olde Omelette as there wasn't any jalapeños listed on the menu. Menu was also accessed via QR code though I did see some physical menus also. Food came in and it looked really good. I liked that they didn't overwhelm the play with potatoes as that's usually a tactic to get the customer full. The omelet was good but it had jalapeños in it which I did not want or expect. I don't know if this was in error or if it originally had jalapeños and it just wasn't listed in the menu but it's not okay. Service was pretty fast. They refilled my waters and took my order fairly quickly. Floors were kind of slippery (not sure if they waxed their floor recently?) and food came out quickly too. To pay, they come to your table and you pay with a credit card. Important question -- would I come back? I work for a company that likes to feed us. On the most recent occasion we got breakfast items. You could choose bacon, sausage or egg burritos or a chorizo taco of which there were few. When I selected the taco I was told I was lucky. Really??? I thought. It's just sausage , what could possibly be a big deal. Well I was lucky and it was a big deal. So much so that I had to ask my boss where on earth did it come from and he replied with a smile, "The Eggcelent Cafe". These tacos of well seasoned fried chorizo, soft and fluffy scrambled eggs, a splathering of chichuahua cheese, pico de gallo and a killer cilantro lime crema aioli we're so delicious they stayed on my mind for days afterwards. The first chance I got I sprang right up to their doorstep and very greedily placed two orders of the same tacos, one for now and one for later. Looking over the menu I could easily see other items I would definitely be ordering in the future. While I waited I took in the decor which was really nice and inviting. They have a variety of tables tables, a two person counter area facing the front window and even a sunny little nook next to the entrance that makes for a lovely chill spot. This place is BUSY, so be prepared for a wait during popular hours. A friend and I were able to snag 2 seats at this little counter at the very front of the restaurant that was very well decorated. The food here is not only good, but also very reasonably priced. I ordered the deconstructed lox (lox, arugula salad, tomato, cream cheese, bagel, $13) and my friend got the Eggsplicit (egg, bacon, tomato, avocado, cream cheese on a bagel, $11). Service - 2.5/5 there was an altercation between a waitress and customer while we were there, it included yelling and slamming on the table. We appreciate the owner coming to address the incident with customers and apologize for the disturbance. Overall the service was OK, not very attentive and didn't come back to checkin.
