Eggcellent cafe was really good. The service was prompt and polite. The restaurant is quaint, colorful and nice. I got the citron Yuzu tea which was definitely the concentrate with hot water poured over. Still pretty good. The breakfast burrito was flavorful and delicious. I added turkey bacon to it. Nothing super spectacular. The outside had a nice crunch and the flavors blend well. I picked some of the egg out to see if it was special in any way, it was just egg lol. It comes with this little sauce on top and the side that was slightly spicy and flavorful. I really enjoyed this and the portion is huge. Definitely worth a stop. read more

Didn't love it. My breakfast sandwich was tasty, the Eggspanola, but messy. The best part of the egg is the yolk, but whether biting or cutting into this sandwich, the yolk sprayed out, creating a big mess, and I struggled to get someone's attention to get me napkins to clean it up myself. Service was lackluster. I don't mind an online menu with a QR code, but it doesn't work well with a long menu of similar items. Paper is still the best way to compare the Eggceptional (with pork sausage) to the Jerzy Roll (with spicy pork roll). The server never checked in with me, and they charge for refills of drip coffee. Then again, maybe the baby boomers are the last generation to expect free refills of anything, and we're dying out like the last of the Eggiesauruses. read more

In the search for breakfast/brunch perfection this is the spot. Well done PA! As a New Yorker straddling Queens and Brooklyn as my playground. There is no shortage of good food. However, breakfast and brunch are always tricky. This place was a god send away from home. Friendly staff and tasty food. You cannot ask for more. Note that there could be a wait time depending on how busy it gets but your patience would be well rewarded. Try the Veggie Delight Omelette (hopefully I got the name right) beautiful balance of taste. I wish I had something like this in walking distance from the crib in NYC. I would be a regular. PSA. I've tried Eggcellent Cafe twice now. Once we ordered from the counter and ate at their only table outside on the sidewalk, and today we ordered Caviar delivery. Both times the food was incredible. I can't believe how many different menu items they have! So many options of different egg sandwiches, eggs Benedict, egg platters, egg burritos, and egg toasts. The first time I ordered the green goddess which is an egg sandwich with tons of arugula and avocado. It was massive and soooo delicious! Today I ordered the salmon lox bagel with egg, avocado, tomato, and cream cheese. It was amazing!! Very messy, but worth it. My husband got a fried chicken eggs Benedict with potatoes and it was delicious too!! The portion sizes are very big and the sandwiches are massive. Would go on a Monday - Friday if possible, that's when our server told us is less busy. When I went Sunday afternoon it was packed and had to wait a few minutes to get seated. They are truly maximizing the space that they are afforded and you may find yourself just barely arms distance with other diners. I think they would make the experience much better if they just had one extra server on the floor during the busy times. The food itself was solid but I still think I'm looking for my go to. We ordered the breakfast burrito, home fries, brekkie Bahn mi, chunky monkey smoothie, biet coffee, and almond croissant. Breakfast burrito - Good. Liked the cheese crust on the outside. Fresh greens on the inside makes it a bit different than most breakfast burritos. Comes with a side spread/sauce that's nice and spicy. Home fries - Great. I really liked the raw onions sprinkled in there. Adds a nice bite to the dish. BREKKIE Bahn mi - interesting idea and good flavors. Definitely a napkin killer, egg is nice and runny. As with most breakfast foods, all of the items are made infinitely better with ketchup and hot sauce. Chunky monkey I would not get again just because of personal preference. Maybe go for something fruity. Viet coffee is nice and strong so would recommend if you like viet coffee. We came here in a Monday at noon, were promptly seated and greeted. Many options for breakfast that anyone can easily find something they'd like. I had the avocado truffle toast, which was delicious! The truffle gave it a nice extra flavor, and I had one blueberry pancake on the side also really good. Very casual vibe but comfortable and a great place to grab a quick bite with friends or solo. You know how they say "location location location?" Well they should put a "service" in there once or twice too. Holy smokes are these people awesome. Super nice, super efficient, and they bump out some great food too. I went with the Angry Pig omelet (minus the "angry" jalapenos) and the Mrs. went with the Avocado Truffle Toast. Both were lovely (though the omelet violated TomT's omelet rule: ingredients should be cooked INTO the eggs and not folded into an egg pancake). Again, the service was stupendous. We had to go to an event for our kid after breakfast where we were on the hook to bring veggies and dip. The Mrs. brought the veggies into the bathroom to give them a quick wash and the kitchen staff came out and offered to do it for her. WOW! (I wasn't keen on the bathroom sink thing anyway but she claimed it would have stayed in the packaging so it wouldn't have been an issue). This is a place filled with locals so you know it has to be good. Come by if you have a chance but don't wear your Washington Commanders gear - they love them some Eagles up this way. read more

On a Sunday morning, we waited around 30 minutes for seating for a party of 5 -- not a very long time but intriguing this little breakfast shop could command such attention. Food was good, service was pretty good -- all around a pretty good restaurant. Angry Pig Omelette: Eggs stuffed with smoked ham and maple pork, this dish was very tasty and plentiful, leaving me stuffed by the end. If I ordered this again, I may exclude the chipotle sauce -- I would rather emphasize the sweet taste from the maple pork than make the dish more savory. The breakfast potatoes were done well, crispy on the outside, fairly fluffy on the inside, coated with a light seasoning. On the breakfast quesadilla, this was tasty (not my dish), but the sour cream served was spoiled -- luckily this was on the side. They took the small container back, but did not have any other sour cream to serve. Recommend the staff to taste a small portion of their ingredients each morning before serving. This place had absolutely amazing food. my friend and I both had the eggsplicit breakfast sammie and it was 100% worth the $12. Which was a steal compared to other places we looked at brunch menus. The place is small, and extremely busy. Only downfall was the service had a little left to be desired. We had to wave over the servers several times to remind them we still needed to order or still waiting on our lattes (amazing btw - both the beet root and London fog were amazing). But we understood the place was packed. I think when a place has servers that share all the tables, it creates a bit of confusion on who has helped who. That'd be my only qualm. The servers were friendly and you could tell that they needed 2-3 additional servers as the service itself was extremely slow. We waited a very long to time to order drinks, and then at least another 15 minutes to order food. When the food came out, my order was wrong but at that point I was so hungry that I ate it anyway. Food was very good overall and came out hot. The place itself though felt a bit dirty. The floors were gross and sticky, the condiments on the table were gross and sticky and the floor near the bathroom had puddles of water/gunk as the bathroom is right near the kitchen. I don't think I would be back, but the place definitely has potential! read more

Really enjoyed my experience here. The place isn't very big but they were efficient and wait was not too long for food. I was given a 50 minute wait as my party was rather big (6 people) but it was more around 30 minutes, and there are plenty of places to walk around nearby to spend time! Their drinks were phenomenal. I wanted half of all the coffee and latte options they had, but decided on the chai latte. The ginger flavoring worked so well with the chai spices and if you love Asian ginger dessert you will love this! Our waiter was very quick and responsive so I really appreciated the service! The food was great and a perfect portion. I was not about to carry leftovers with me as it was my last day here, and my de olde omelette left me well satisfied! I had a philly cheesesteak from Geno's the day before and wanted more of that flavor without the heaviness of bread, and this omelette did the trick! It had a good amount of meat and onions that brought out that Philly Cheesesteak flavor really well. At first it seems cute and great, but service was quite slow, and I was left having to go up to the counter to pay after waiting some time for someone to come to my table when I was very clearly finished and dining alone. The menu options are great, and I went with the classic breakfast sandwich and added sausage which was a mistake. The sausage texture was gritty and I didn't want to finish it. They have an extensive menu filled with many breakfast sandwiches, eggs Benedict's, burritos, bowls, sweets and more. We ended up getting the eggplicit sandwich and breakfast burger. The sandwich was delicious, but the breakfast burger was missing the egg. It was overall pretty good but definitely disappointing. It may be worth coming here in person if you are open to waiting to be seated, but I'm not sure if we would order take out again. read more
