Eggs Benedict
Marc W.

Friendly staff and fun Wizard of Oz theme. Good food and great potatoes. It's getting four stars because of the elevated prices and the long wait for the food. They do state it on the menu that it takes a while, so they do warn you. But 45 minutes is exceptionally long. Still, the food is quite good.

Great food from this amazing small yet quaint and comfortable place hidden on front street! Quick seating and service is fast. The staff are very friendly and helpful in choices. We're from Placer County, but we'll be back.

We came by for sunday brunch since we were in town for the valentine's day weekend. They were absolutely packed! It was storming outside but people were forming a line to dine in. The restaurant has such a fun theme and I love their commitment to sustainability 10/10!! Food was very good, I had the corned beef which was prepared differently from how I i'm used to (which is explicitly stated in the menu) but it was great nonetheless! This is a good spot for small groups, I wouldn't recommend large parties because space is very limited.

Came here for breakfast before riding the Skunk Train nearby. The place is tiny and we were seated at a small table, but it's good we got there when we did because it was starting to really pick up. The Wizard of Oz decorations throughout are pretty cool especially if you're a fan. The Biscuits and Gravy was really good and made from scratch. The over-medium eggs and bacon were also delicious. And the country potatoes were perfect. Nice crips on the outside but still fluffy potato inside. Wifey enjoyed her scrambled egg breakfast. One of Fort Bragg's best spots for breakfast. I'd suggest getting there as early as possible especially on weekends since the restaurant is small and gets packed quickly. But either way you will enjoy the food!

Came across Egghead's on Yelp. Decided to give a try. The food was pretty good. The staff was really nice. Love The Wizard of Oz theme. The food was pretty good. Will definitely be coming back on the next trip to Fort Bragg.

On previous trips we have chosen Eggheads and normally on a weekend when the line is out the door. Today though, on a quiet Wednesday we went right in and sat immediately. The decor is Wizard of Oz themed and done quite well. Ok, on to the food.... My wife had the grilled smoked turkey w/ mushrooms, quite tasty and huge! I opted for the Corned Beef Hash/ Not Hash as per the menu. Great plate of corned beef, fresh red potatoes and onions. Great flavor, but regrettably the corned beef was tough and very chewy. In my opinion it needed another hour in pan. Otherwise a great meal.

Cool breakfast joint with cute decor and the names of menu items aligned with the "wizard of oz" theme. The place is small, so seating is limited and a bit crammed. We were quoted a 25 minute wait to be seated on a Sunday morning, it actually took 35 minutes, luckily they text your phone so we were able to walk around downtown while waiting for our table to be ready. When we were finally seated, service was excellent. We got the spanish oz omelette, and uncle henry's farmhand favorite with eggs cooked overeasy and added patty sausage (they have several different options for sausage). All of our items were savory and delish, the potatoes a bit on the salty side but our dishes as a whole not bad at all.

Went here for breakfast, it was decent food but not the best service. Very small inside and super crowded.

Used to be a great place. Went there recently and the service seems to have declined. No coffee refills, and very little attention. Too bad.

Good food and service here. Portions are not overwhelming, which is a nice change. The toast is great, the coffee very good and plentiful.

Not what I expected, small hole in the wall joint, kind of dark for me and not into the hippie vibe, but the burger was frigging delicious!

I noticed on a picture of the menu there are gluten free options. How are they good about avoiding cross-contamination?

There are a few staples that garner much of the out of towners attention. Laurel Street Deli should be one of them. My kid and I got looking for food late and were met by long lines. We decided to walk to the Deli and found a seat. Famous for their coffee and pies, we sat. My son, a breakfast sweets connoisseur, devoured the French Toast. Came with a wedding party for a group lunch at Princess Seafood Restaurant on Friday…read more I got the full crab roll with clam chowder and a cherry cider to wash it all down. The crab was sweet and delicious. They definitely did not skimp out on the amount of crab in the crab roll which was great. I liked the creamy and thickness of the clam chowder and was really glad that it wasn't too salty which is usually my fear. I really enjoyed the cherry cider as my beverage. It is refreshing, fruity, and light. It tastes like juice pretty much. Just a nice touch of sweetness and acidity to balance out the meal. I was grateful to the employees for getting our orders out in a timely fashion. There was a bit of a mix up with some of the orders but it happens with big parties and for the most part everything was correct! Overall, I had a great meal here and would definitely come back next time I'm in the area.

If you're thinking this place feels like any other seafood place in a tourist town (malibu,…read moremonterey, etc), then prepare to have your viewpoints altered. While the checkered paper, fresh seafood, outdoor seating and walk up to order may all be part of the experience, this is probably the best seafood I've had in one of these beach towns. I ordered a shrimp cocktail, crab sandwich with chowder and blackened cod plate. The shrimp cocktail contains a surprising amount of shrimp for the price - and you can definitely taste how fresh the shrimp is! The crab sandwich was pretty good and light, but I feel like the blackened cod overshadowed everything. The cod was so flavorful, and you get 4-5 pieces. It's a cajun style seasoning where you can taste the spice - to a point it may be a little too spicy for people with low spice tolerance. The bread is buttered and the salad is fresh - you could not ask for a better meal. The clam chowder is a little different from most other places; they add some seasonings and spice to the chowder so it's not the traditional creamy, heavy soup you're expecting. It's like clam chowder premium, I prefer their version over a more traditional version. The view of the turquoise colored water is amazing from their indoor patio, as it's covered in windows. They also have an outdoor patio where you can take pictures of the color. The line to order was quick, but we saw that the line can get long with extended wait times depending on customer numbers. Water is self serve, and you also bus your own plates. When visiting Fort Bragg, you have to come to eat here, for the food, the view, and the service!
