Since we got there a few minutes before 3 my husband asked if he needed to wait to order from the social hour menu. The bartender seemed put off by his question and it left a bad first impression for me. His shift was also ending in 5 minutes and he asked if I wanted to close out my tab.. At that point we had only ordered 1 drink (my drink) since we were waiting for the social hour deals. I decided to transfer my drink to the next staff member since we just sat down. I tried the spicy lychee margarita and I loved it. The balance between spicy and sweet was perfect. We also tried the truffle fries and I really liked them. They were seasoned and cooked perfectly. Even the tomato was so fresh I'd have thought they picked it just for me. Ended up with banana cream napoleon and bougatsa for dessert. The service was beyond amazing, and food was hot. Only downsides... rather than raising prices they tack on an extra 3% that sneaks in the bill. And the prices were already very high. ($260 before tip). We were also charged $2 more for the dip trio than was on the menu. And while I know it's common these days, it was very noisy. The lady (who I believe is Yola) told me they planned to rotate dishes and will include various Asian dishes, like Thai food. Today they had fried rice, crispy noodles, shrimp, fried chicken drumsticks/wings, chicken lollipop, and diced chicken & potatoes. They even had duck! It all looked good, but I decided to try fried rice with the diced chicken & potatoes, along with a few pieces of chicken lollipop (which is like fried chicken on a stick, or bone). I brought the food to my parent's house for a family dinner. I really enjoyed the food. The fried rice wasn't out of this world, but the chicken lollipop was really good and the chicken & potato dish was pretty good. I love Asian food, so I'm stoked about having a halal option.
