Lava Paneer Pulav
Rerajitha M.

This is a brand new location. You order at the counter, they give you a number and you find a table. It was pretty busy when we went in. We were a large group of around 12 and we managed to find a table pretty quickly. We ordered a ton of food for the table. It was a long wait for the food to come. The Amdavadi touch sandwich was pretty tasty - it's totally vegetarian. The chicken masala sandwich was just ok. I got the Surti gotalo - which is a semi-gravy of shredded boiled eggs in spices with a fried egg on top - was tasty after adding extra salt. Toofani curry - boiled eggs in gravy was decent. Malvani burji - scrambled eggs in coconut and onion gravy - was lacking in salt, tasted good after adding some. All the three gravys tasted a little similar, came with wheat rotis (chapatis), pretty decent. Pav baji - was disappointing. Paneer lava pulav - flavor was amazing, spicy and smoky.

Tasty Tofu $6.25 - Crispy on the outside and silky on the inside. I would order these again. Crab Rangoon (4) $5.50 - Small but delicious. Pan-fried Chicken Dumpling (6) $6.95 - Tiny delicious dumplings. Sichuan Style Diced Beef over rice $16.25 - The beef were lean, tender and full of flavor! Shrimp fried rice $14.95 - Flavorful fried rice. Kung Pao chicken - $18 - This didn't taste like your normal kung pao. The chicken was breaded, deep fried and covered in a sweet sauce. It looked more like a sweet and sour dish and there was no spiciness. .|\---/| | @_@ | ..\_^_/..2025

He order the beef and rice with broccoli and the meat was COLD and very hard the chew. The only thing that he liked was the rice which was hot. He love the beef won tons because of the spicy chile. It was so upset that the soup had no flavor I put so much salt and also a pack of soy sauce which I never put soy sauce on anything I even Added the chile it look Like the cook took a bucket full of dirty wash water and served it to me the noodle had no flavor. The server was always on her phone. I asked her so many times to removed the dirty plates from the table and she completely ignored us. The ambiance was empty just a few orders to go. I feel SAD that I took an hour drive to be so disappointed at the horrible tasting food and also the bad service

Last time I went to the taqueria I noticed that a new restaurant was in the works, all the way back behind the bakery. I spoke with the lady and confirmed it was going to be pan-Asian food and all halal! She told me the opening date was November 1st. Today I stopped in, and sure enough it was open. The lady (who I believe is Yola) told me they planned to rotate dishes and will include various Asian dishes, like Thai food. Today they had fried rice, crispy noodles, shrimp, fried chicken drumsticks/wings, chicken lollipop, and diced chicken & potatoes. They even had duck! It all looked good, but I decided to try fried rice with the diced chicken & potatoes, along with a few pieces of chicken lollipop (which is like fried chicken on a stick, or bone). I brought the food to my parent's house for a family dinner. I really enjoyed the food. The fried rice wasn't out of this world, but the chicken lollipop was really good and the chicken & potato dish was pretty good. I love Asian food, so I'm stoked about having a halal option. The food was sold by weight, and I feel we got a decent value. This isn't a place you can go to for a nice dinner out, but a good takeout option. Looking forward to trying other dishes here.
