I went here today with a friend and our daughters. We usually kick off summer with a visit to Black bear diner to catch up but since Eggs and Waffles just opened we decided to try it! Kids had chocolate chip pancakes and French toast that they enjoyed! My friend had the big breakfast which was eggs, bacon, potatoes and a pancake. She said everything was good. I had the mushroom, bacon and cheddar omelette and potatoes which was yummy! Potatoes were a little overcooked but overall the meal was very good. We sat on their patio. We had a very nice server and the owner I believe (didn't introduce himself?) was very kind in asking how everything was. I recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning! read more

My wife and I are really excited to have this nice place in the area for breakfast and lunch. The ambiance is really nice and the staff and service was great. I had a basic breakfast with bacon, scrambled eggs, hash browns, and toast. The hash browns were really good and cooked to crispy perfection. The scrambled eggs were over cooked for me as evident by slight browning and the eggs were firm and dry. I like my scrambled eggs soft, moist, and delicately cooked. The bacon was also slightly undercooked, and not as crispy as I would like. My wife had a scramble and she really enjoyed it. This restaurant is new and they will figure out the eggs and bacon. We will go back without hesitation because we liked the ambiance and the service. I would recommend anyone reading to go and check it out. read more

Went for breakfast with a friend, food was very good. We both got an eggs Benedict, the hollandaise sauce was very good, eggs cooked perfectly. Upgraded the side from potatoes to fruit which was fresh and serving sizes were good. The only negative would be that we had to ask for spoons for our tea and a saucer to put the tea bag on. Last weekend, I was running errands with my fiancé and he was craving brunch, so we decided to check out the new place in town. SO glad we did! I'm a big ambience and customer service girl and this place did not disappoint! I was immediately impressed with the outdoor patio area and the waiting area inside (Instagram photo opp worthy!) - SO cute!! We were greeted immediately AND with smiles (a rarity these days) as well as acknowledgment of how long the wait would be (only 5-ish minutes, while they cleaned the table). The decor is clean, modern, yet has a retro/diner feel about it. Comfy tables and booths are available and drinks were offered the moment we sat down - now, THAT is great service! The mimosa flight is a must if you are having a hard time deciding from the variety of choices, plus (again), presentation is SO cute! All flavors were great (and strong) but I think guava was my favorite - all delish and still up for debate! Freshly brewed iced tea was delicious and chilled water was immediately served. The owner was quick to come by, introduce himself, and welcome us. His enthusiasm towards his business philosophy, love for the menu, and excellent customer service was apparent and very much appreciated. The menu has great breakfast and lunch offerings and truly customizable to whatever your heart (and stomach) desires! I had a hard time choosing, and I have a pretty particular and child-like palate. I ended up selecting the capresé avocado toast. My fiancé "invented" his own omelette hash dish, which they fulfilled, and he consumed with the utmost satisfaction. Back to my capresé avo toast - OMG...THE best I've ever had! Everything was fresh, a load of freshly smashed avocados (yes, plural - no skimping here) and the flavors complimented one another. The balsamic glaze was amazing and I felt so compelled to call it out to the owner when he came back and checked on how our food and service was. He mentioned that they made the balsamic glaze in house!! It truly is the icing on this "cake"! I'm going to have a hard time selecting something different next time but I am intrigued by their one-of-a-kind offerings. I don't post much, and have a strong dislike for people being so quick to leave a bad review towards a hard-working and/or a new business (especially in town) so I took the opportunity to note how impressed I was with this restaurant, the ambience, the menu, the food quality, the owner's enthusiasm, and his concern with customer satisfaction, but most of all, the top-notch service. Disenchanted with so many businesses and services in Gilroy and the lack of treating customers with respect, and having some care and pride in their job, this place is a breath of fresh air, which gives me hope that MAYBE I can see a must needed change in Gilroy that will make me want to stay living here - this place is fun, impressive, and a real gem for the community. Great food ! They have an amazing menu for all! We took our grandkids there and we all loved the food and the service was great. The owners are so kind and friendly. The ambience is fun and updated. I wish I could remember the owners names. I liked that they were working hard right along side the staff. We choose to dine inside because it was so hot outside, I'm not sure if they have an A/C problem or it just wasn't on but that was the only complaint I would say turn the A/C up on hot days! The only reason I am giving this restaurant one star is that zero stars is not a choice. Super bad experience today. My friend ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with fruit on the side. I ordered a BLT substitute bacon for cheese and no mayo - as I am a vegetarian and I told this to the waitress. My friend's order was two dried out pieces of bread with something that might have been cheese inside. The fruit was mostly rind and slimy. My veggie sandwich was full of bacon and no cheese and lots of mayo. I pointed this out to the waitress and she returned with a sandwich that had the same cheese-like material as my friend's sandwich - and also with dry white bitter tomato ends and at least a whole avocado mashed up inside. I could only eat part of one half of the sandwich. It was gross. The fries were way over-seasoned and inedible. Overall, not a pleasant experience. We paid our bill and tipped the waitress. She apologized and even said that she agreed with us regarding the poor quality of the food. No it wasn't busy and it was not a bad day for the cooks - they were taking and laughing at the stove. So, how on earth do you mess up two over-priced sandwiches? You can bet that we will not be returning here to find out. read more

Good omelet and best waffles I have had in awhile. My husband got the eggs and bacon that had 6 pieces of bacon which I thought was way too much, we don't eat that many pieces at home! The prices are high so cutting back on the bacon could make this dish alitte cheaper, but my biggest issue was not being able to substitute the potatoes and toast for a small bowl of fruit, I had to pay another $3 for a very tiny bowl of fruit which was not very good as it was. We eat there 3 days after they opened. Our eggs had to go back, runny. Gravy was cold. Service was good. We thought after a month would give a second try. Got a table was asked tf we would like coffee, ordered 2 cup, never got Amy from that waiter, so after her serving 3 other tables I asked another waiter if we could get some coffee. This time the eggs were over cooked, brown on edge, gravy still was cold. Sorry, this could have been a place I would go to at least twice a month. We will not be going back any time soon. read more

The first time we came here was when they just opened and everything from the service to the food was great. Yesterday we went around 10:30am and we experienced the longest wait as well as terrible service. I asked the lady if she would be able to give me a side of wheat toast with avocado FOR MY 10mo baby which I mentioned she said yes. The food was taking over 45min and I asked her if it was possible to get my baby's toast out and she said no it comes out all together, ok no problem. Then, we receive the toast and it is NOT edible what so ever. The toast is EXTREMELY hard and all burnt. Note, none of the other toasts from our orders came out like that. We then told her and she said we should've said lightly toasted because everyone likes their wheat bread like that! No sympathy or acknowledgement what so ever!!!! Super dissatisfied and disappointed with the service and food! Will not come back with our family again. read more

I wanted to try out this new place and went yesterday for breakfast and I have to say it was the most horrible food that I've ever had. I ordered their country breakfast ($18) way over priced. The eggs I ordered over medium and the whites were runny, the potatoes were cold and their biscuits and gravy were the most disgusting thing I've ever tasted, the biscuits almost seemed fried, they were hard too, the gravy was really floury and tasted like black licorice. My daughter's food was also really cold. I would never go here again, it was all a round terrible food. read more
