This morning, while at Momma Rabbit's Nibbles and Sips, my wife, our barely 2 year old son and a friend were told by who I assume to be one of the owners, that if she was not able to "quiet" my child down, she would have to "take him outside" for fear that he make start to "rile other kids that were there up, and we can't have that". My son, who, again is barely 2, sat in his high chair the entire time, threw not one piece of food on the ground, and sat as politely as a 2 year old could, occasionally cheering "YEAHH" whenever our friend or my wife did something he found entertaining. YES his voice was elevated the few times he cheered, YES there were SIX other children of varying ages in the restaurant all making noises (as all children do), YES it is a very casual restaurant serving breakfast and lunch, and YES there was a grown man sitting at a table near them talking on the phone, on speaker I will point out, for several minutes. So to say that both her and our friend were shocked would be the understatement of the year. We have visited this restaurant on countless occasions, with friends, with my wife, with my children, purchased freezer meals from them, done our parts of supporting a small local business, all to be told to quiet our child down who was making far less noise than many other people were in this restaurant. My wife spent most of her young adult and adult career working in and managing numerous successful restaurants spanning an almost 11 year period. I am appalled, disgusted, and saddened at this clear lack of compassion, professionalism, and customer service. And we wonder why moms are fearful to take their children out in public these days. We will unfortunately not return to Momma Rabbits, ever.

I just got back from the Eggs Up Grill, it was very busy but I didn't wait long for a seat. I ordered an omelette, country ham and toast. The food was very good and the service was great, price was very reasonable. I could tell they are still in trying to get in a groove being they just opened, but none the less it was a very pleasant experience. I really don't have any negatives, great service, great food, at a reasonable price. Good job and look forward to trying some pancakes next time round. read more

This is our go-to once a month breakfast together. They were swamped right before we got-with some inconsiderate people. How do I know this? You left crayons and trash everywhere. Worse, if it was on the floor the waitstaff walked on it and over it. Our waitress was kind and efficient. The food was okay. But cleanliness was way down today. Hey. This is the best breakfast diner in Sumter South Carolina. My family enjoy the healthy free ranged option it gives us. The cup of coca is my go to when stopping by for breakfast. My son ate all of his kid's burger and fries and my other son ate all of his Reuben and chips. Both of them were very satisfied! My Reuben was also very good. The flavors were true to their mark and very good. The service we received was also great! Parking can be tricky in the front of the shop, so I might try parking behind the shop next time.
