If I hadn't been on a long road trip this day and I had known the waffle was as fluffy and crisp as it was, I would've ordered a whole waffle. Not many waffles dare to be as savory as this one. Light and fluffy on the inside crisp on the outside and just Enough seasoning to stand on its own. As if that wasn't enough, this restaurant can cook your eggs the way you want them. I always order my eggs soft scrambled when I visit an establishment for the first time. Many of you know that cooking eggs looks simple but is actually quite an art form. This place was hustling on a Sunday morning. We put ourselves on the waitlist & waited outside for our table to be called. They put out coffee & creamer for their customers while they wait at no charge. It is such a nice gesture. Heaters are also outside for the chilly days. I have a dairy allergy & the waitress answered my questions to the best of her knowledge. What she didn't know she went & asked the kitchen staff. Our food came out hot, fresh & tasty. She even double checked to make sure they made my food without dairy & had them remake it when she found out they didn't. Thank you so much for being so conscious of my allergy. As a vegetarian it is sometimes difficult to find a breakfast place to eat. Egg Up Grill in Lexington has several option, the pancakes and waffles are light and fluffy. The potatoes are not greasy or taste of fatback. The eggs ant style are always as requested. The omelette are awesome. The waitress approached our table with her mask not covering her nose, something that is a bit of a pet peeve of mine. Tables didn't really seem to be properly social distanced either. If that's important to you I suggest going elsewhere. My eggs were good but the sauce had curdled and my husbands sausages were over cooked. I'm sorry shocked on today visit. Of course had to wait on a table no shock there. But than had to wait on the food as long as I had to wait on to be seated not good. As long as they been here I understand short staffed but this is crazy. just not a good visit be honest might be my last. There other businesses around same food maybe better service. We are here from Missouri visiting family. We love brunch and the reviews for Eggs Up Grill put it at the top of our list. We were so happy with our experience. John greeted us at the door and was so genuinely friendly. He even pulled our chairs out for each of us as we sat down. Robin was our server and she was so pleasantly southern And she was very helpful with the menu and very attentive. I loved the half waffle option and my husband loved the omelet!
