I heard about this "new" restaurant to the area by way of social media and decided to give them a try since it was a mid week visit. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak omelet with home fries and biscuit but I asked for the portion to be half it since I was sharing with my son. You can use my picture to determine if the portion size is shareable for you or not but this worked for me. I also ordered decaf coffee and orange juice. For me, the meal was okay. I don't want to negatively review the place because I'm normally not a breakfast person but my kid is. He enjoyed it so no complaints from me. I will say the coffee had a funny taste but it didn't bother me as much. I'm guessing it was the typical Maxwell house or Folgers brand that most restaurants use. Overall, the service was quick, the restaurant was cleaned, the waitress was also nice. If you're in the area for breakfast, check them out. Came as part of my 7000 mile 24 city good trip. Everyone was super friendly. But took about 10 minutes to get my order once seated even though tables about 1/4 full. When you see staff on phones, it sort contributes as I waited to get my check as well under similar circumstances. Ordered the coastal crab cake Benedict advertised as "two crab cakes on toasted garlic bread with poached eggs, hollandaise sauce and choice of home fries, grist's, or fruit." It wasn't seasoned well, the grits were gritty, they shouldn't be if you know how to cook them.....slow and low is the way to go. You can't rush them, it's a grain! I was excited to see a breakfast place on my side of town that wasn't a chain restaurant. I went on a Sunday, shortly before noon and it was pretty busy but it didn't take long for me to order. The interior is super cute, cozy diner style. I decided to order food to go because I didn't want to wait for a table. One of my favorite breakfast foods and what I'll almost always order if it's on the menu is corned beef hash. The menu had a corned beef hash eggs benedict and I was instantly excited. I ordered that with an extra side of corned beef hash. Let's start with the positive. The potatoes that came with the meal were really good and nicely seasoned. For the not so positive, the corned beef hash wasn't pleasant to eat. The flavor was fine but the texture wasn't. I didn't see the little cubed potatoes that usually come in corned beef hash and I'm not sure if it was the cut of meat or how it was prepared but it was extremely chewy. If I didn't know any better, I'd think the meat was undercooked just based on the texture. I didn't enjoy eating it. Also, I usually like my hollandaise with a little more acidity and this one didn't taste like it had any at all. I'm not going to write this place off since it was only one visit. Maybe another menu item would be better so I'm willing to give it another shot but I won't be ordering the corned beef hash again. read more

We don't often come down this way, but we found ourselves at the Lowe's Outlet in Morrow. After spending way too much money, we decided to have a bite to eat. We stumbled upon this place because it was close. This is a minority-owned restaurant so that was a plus. The wait was about 20 minutes. But when we went in the atmosphere was really nice Our waitress was excellent. We both decided on burgers, and they were really good. But we looked around the restaurant and it seemed everyone was getting something different. So, we got to see lots of what was on the menu. All you really heard were people oohing and awing. The four star rating is due to the questions of my Retired friends service dog! The hostess appeared shocked when we walked in. We asked to be seated at a booth so the dog could lay underneath and out of other patrons path. She had to get confirmation from her manager. The dog clearly had all his identification harness and badges visible. Also he was in a leash. A customer screamed when she saw the dog although the dog did not even look at her. This place is not as good as two eggs. It's ok and both places are more expensive than ihop. I had omelette with grits raisin toast and coffee my daughter had Belgian waffle and bacon slices. My egge omelette was very thin menus said made with 4 eggs it was more like 2. It only had chicken and cheese no onion or peppers and a little salsa and avocado slices which is not what is described on menu!! My daughter's bacon was thin sliced and she said could have had that at home should have been thick sliced for price you pay!! Service was ok not as attentive as I would like. This is a new brunch spot that opened up about a month ago and I'm so here for it. It's in the Mt. Zion shopping center in front of the Best Buy. I ordered the Loaded Home Fry plate to go, which comes with home fries, peppers and onions, your choice of bacon or sausage, 2 eggs and cheese. The food was well seasoned and hot. They were fully staffed on a Tuesday morning, and very prompt with there service. It's an open airy place with plenty of seating with both booths and tables. I'm not sure if they take reservations or not. And it looks like they will have outdoor seating soon. Such a nice addition to the limited brunch options here on the Southside.
