Oh my gosh! This little spot has some really good breakfast! We truly enjoyed everything that was set in front of us. Nothing stood a chance, everything was devoured lol. I had the veggie skillet that had me humming and tapping my feet until completion with their amazing buttermilk pancakes topped with fresh strawberries. A rare 5 star recognition for this restaurant but well deserved. First, the food was very good. It's a cafe/dinner type place, so not extravagant food, but does have some unique menu items. The menu has great variety and the food is very well done. The service was outstanding which completes the five star rating. At least 3 people serviced us through the lunch and all were extremely friendly and made us feel like the most important people in a busy restaurant. This service was also given to all tables around us, so easy to tell it's their standard. Most impressive was that it seemed like the owner, or at lest manager in duty, was personally handling the wait list. He greated everyone and talked with people as they waited. That have a great system in place for turning tables fast, so what looked like a long wait was actually pretty short. We also appreciated the numerous times they thanked us for waiting and staying with them. Our server was beyond outstanding and never stopped smiling when we where there. This was also at a time when they were very busy so definitely appreciate their great work under pressure. The atmosphere is bright and great for families. I can't wait to go back and try other menu items as our home town place for family dining. I also would highly recommend their homemade salsa, which I will try to buy to bring home in my next trip. read more

One of the first few places I explored since moving here was Eggsellent Cafe Frisco. I was hesitant because I thought it was like every other diner. You try one you tried them all.....shame on me it was an unrealistic foodie mentality I had. EGGsuses after "Egg"suses! I finally tried it and guess what I liked it! I went with my friend Kim and we enjoyed everything about it. The food was "Eggseptional", fast and cooked to order. I was so "EGGstatic" I went the next week. Reviewing this fine establishment was so fun! It's a mom and pop and I enjoyed hearing the stories behind the making of this cafe. do not come to this restaurant! I am not one to leave bad reviews, but let me tell you something. I made a mistake excepting two orders on a DoorDash delivery. The food was supposed to be ready when I got there. Yes it's Mother's Day so I understand it's going to be busy but as a restaurant, they should've known that and either told people the food was going to take longer or had more staff to help work. I waited for 40 minutes for one order because my second order wound up canceling it because she was waiting an hour and a half for her food, after 40 minutes, I finally received the order. I was speaking to another DoorDash driver, who was also waiting for a very long time for the hoarder and the manager with black hair had the nerve to come up to me and tell me I had to go wait outside. Had to stop complaining to her customers first of all me and the DoorDash driver. We're having a private conversation about waiting and second of all instead of worrying about what I'm talking about maybe you should worry about where the food is at everybody's waiting for. I watched so many people walk out and complain people who were waiting over an hour tables who were waiting over an hour. employees wouldn't answer questions. Unreal! Went to this place with a family of 6. They took our name and had us on the 15 minute wait, after 45 minutes we got a table..we were then told..WE DO NOT HAVE TABLES FOR 6! well, something the hostess could have mentioned..now we sat at two tables..its cool, my 84 year old mother maybe wanted time alone at a table by herself. I asked for an omelet with no hashbrowns, and a side of bacon..she says..that's an up charge, I said OK...then she says, how about a side of fruit instead, no charge...what do you not get that $2 of bacon is no big deal! Not a big fan. We went when they first opened and the food was subpar. we decided to give them another chance and although the food was a tad bit better, it was not up to the "Egg and I" standards. My waffle was very soft on the bottom instead of crispy and the taste was very generic like it was a supermarket mix. My sourdough toast tasted like white toast. Still better than "Starwood Café" so I'll give them that. One thing we noticed is that a few menus fell off into the trash can, a few moments later, before we could say anything, someone picked them out of the trash and placed them back in the menu pile then more menus on top. Absolutely a great experience and delicious food. The wait especially on a Sunday morning is probably close to an hour if you get there late in the morning. So try and be early. But their food is great tasting. They serve mostly just the standard American breakfast fare. But it's great. More than the food what we are so happy about is that in our numerous visits here we have never had a chance to complain about the service. These guys are all great people and I for one live their coffee. After tasting it here I ordered the same via Amazon at home. Love the coffee, food and the place. Definitely recommended. read more

First- I will be back. Likely many times. I had the Bacado omelette with grits and pancakes. PROS: HUGE portions. Seriously. Bring a friend and share. Too much for a one person to eat. The grits were some of the best I've had in Texas. I grew up in the Deep South eating grits, so I'm particular. The omelette was just the right ratio of eggs to filling. Service was excellent! The coffee was very good (I'm picky about coffee, too). They have a homemade salsa that is served warm and the perfect accompaniment to the eggs. CONS: no wifi (I spoke to them and they are working hard to try to get this for their customers). This isn't much of a con, but the pancakes were very average. a good pancake is like a good steak- it should stand on its own without unnecessary adornment...they offer a lot of topping choices for pancakes, but I prefer mine the standard way-when they are good pancakes. This SHOULD NOT dissuade you from coming to this cafe, by any means. Conclusion: give em a try. You won't regret it. read more

Meh, I've experienced better. Krystal W. pretty much hit the nail on the head. The restaurant seemed very disorganized for a crowd. It's a long and narrow space with guests crowding near the entrance waiting for a table. Add to that a "pay at the counter" policy, and you have a recipe for needless confusion. I had a skillet and my wife had a Crepe combo. Both seemed to be pre-prepared given how fast they were served and how bland they were. I actually sent my skillet back since it just seemed half-assed, and got an omelet instead. The owner and staff all were very helpful in replacing my food, but did not seem to understand my desire for something fresh. When I asked if the skillet had been prepared, you know *in a skillet*, they seemed surprised that I asked and described their process more like a stack. I can just imagine their setup in the kitchen with a line of chafing dishes, putting in a little hash browns, a little meat, throw some cheese and a sprinkling (yuck) of pre-scrambled eggs on top. If I'm going to pay you $10 for a skillet, do me the courtesy of preparing it fresh for me. The house hot sauce was very tasty, but beware the bottle. It's not the kind that you can just splash a few drops on your eggs. It will pour out full force. Just FYI. All in all, the food was blah, the staff were nice, and the business was disorganized. Came here for breakfast the day after thanksgiving. Luckily there wasn't a line but most of the tables were full so we were seated immediately. This place is nicely decorated and clean. My SO ordered the omelet that has biscuits and gravy on it, I ordered a side of eggs and french toast and my sis ordered the healthy omelet. The omelet/biscuits & gravy was very tasty and a good size portion. If you are looking for a little bit of everything get that bc it also comes with Hash browns and pancakes or toast. The pancakes were also very good. Y side of egg was a little dry but it was just boring scrambled eggs, the French toast was good. The healthy omelet was by far my favorite, light and fresh ingredients were used. Service was good as well. Will definitely come back for breakfast again or lunch! read more

This place is VERY frustrating. They have really really good food but some of the worst customer service i've ever seen. The website has been down for 2-3 months and they don't seem to care (Which means we have to search for the menu on google images), they consistently screw up orders, they act like it's a real pain in the ass to deal with customers, and checking out or paying is a long process because they never seem to know how to work the computer. They are only open for a few hours a day serving breakfast...I don't understand how they screw this up. It's almost as if it's owned a rich/bored Frisco wife that had some good recipes and didn't have anything else to do so she half-assed opening a restaurant and doesn't really care if they do well or not. Wow what a disappointment, all the great reviews and it just it wasn't there this morning. No problems getting in and getting seated and I don't know if our waitress was new but that's where the problem started, got coffee quickly but took a long time to get waters. Took our order and then we waited and waited and waited. It shouldn't take that long for eggs and pancakes and omelettes, and then it was brought out one at a time with no toast sides and my wife's omelette was way over cooked. Food was okay not tremendous but it's just breakfast so it shouldn't be that hard. Came here on Saturday for my son's birthday breakfast. He had a waffle, I had the French toast meal and my wife had the crepes with fruit. My son said he didn't like the waffle, but he's 4 and changes his mind daily on what he likes. I was a bit disappointed with mine. Instead of using Texas Toast or something similar, the french toast was 4 thin discs about palm sized. They tasted fine, but the quantity wasn't there. The eggs eggs were as bland as eggs come. We finally had breakfast here. The decor is nice. The service was good. The food was good. I had the biscuit and gravy omelette. It came with hash browns and pancakes. Mine was very good. My husband had the blt+e sandwich with fries. The presentation was nice. The toast on the sandwich was too hard and over cooked, and the fries were over cooked, but they fixed the problem. Check your receipts. They charged us a different price than what was on the menu, but I told them and they fixed it. Food here is great. Portions are perfect. They have apple butter! (Which not many places do, and I love it.) the service is kind and genuine but slow.
