I've been to this location a few times before and I've always had a pleasant experience! I went with a friend and we were seated very quickly, and the service was great; the staff members are very attentive! The food was delicious! Including the Mimosa Flight, biscuits as an appetizer, and the Lamb Chops and eggs for my entree. The lambs chops were seasoned very well and the potatoes were cooked just right. I didn't have room for dessert so I guess I will have to come back again soon!

Sometimes can have a long wait on the weekends but we went this (Saturday) morning and was seated right away around 8:15am! I didn't take a photo of it but their garlic bread is literally the best. Would come in just for that alone lol but decided to try something sweet for breakfast this time instead of savory and the s'mores French toast was so good but had to take half home just because of how sweet and chocolatey it was

Food was okay. Service nice but a little slow. Waited a while to order and for refills. Not too crowded. Server was nice. The problem is really that they charge you a lot for small things. Salad. Add chicken? 8 dollars. An extra pancake? 6 dollars. A side of bacon? 6 dollars. They nickel and dime you for a simple meal. So although we enjoyed it and had a good experience it was very overpriced for what it was.

I had a taste for breakfast so decided to give this spot a try. I'm glad I did. If you're looking for omelettes you should give them a try. This spot isn't crowded, seated quickly and it's nice and roomy. Now for the food. There's so many choices that you will need to come back at least a second round. You can't come and now try the omelette. The Eggspectation and the shrimp and crab Omelettes hands down some of best omelettes I've had. Flavor through and through, the right amount of everything. The Breakfast Tacoskick and a punch in the mouth, you'll want more than three. Adding the Lemon Ricotta Blueberry Pancakes to any meal... why not. The cakes are fluffy, with the cream cheese drizzle to finish. Chefs kiss. Shout out to our waiter Kollin I will definitely be back

We had a great early dinner at Eggspectation last night as a family of four. We've visited many times for breakfast and lunch, but this was our first time coming for dinner--and it did not disappoint. We arrived during happy hour, which was a nice bonus. My husband and I enjoyed a glass of wine while we waited for our food. I ordered the mussels with marinara sauce, which came with fries. My husband went with the wings and a salad and was very happy with his choice. Our kids ordered a pizza and chicken tenders with fries, and both meals were big hits. Everyone at the table enjoyed their food, and the atmosphere was relaxed and family-friendly. Our waitress was especially accommodating, which we appreciated while dining out with kids. It was nice to experience Eggspectation in a different way than our usual, and we'll definitely be back for dinner again.

What a great experience. I've been trying to get to eggspectation for quite sometime and finally had the shot. My wife and I went on a Monday before Veterans Day and this place was surprisingly packed. There were about 10 people waiting so I immediately knew I had to be at the right spot. We waited about 10 minutes and were seated. This place was lively. Great place for brunch. Our waitress was friendly and made a few suggestions. My wife and I ordered the following: Lemon Ricotta & Blueberry Pancakes Eggstravaganza Cajun Shrimp & Grits Western Omelette Flight of Mimosa's The Mimosa flight came out first. The flavors were Strawberry, Peach, Orange and Margarita. My wife enjoyed two of the four, peach and strawberry. Our food came out and took up the entire table. I ate the Cajun Shrimp and Grits along with the extravaganza. The shrimp and grits were DELICIOUS!!! Seasoned well, nice size shrimp, good sausage, and creamy grits. They could have gone a little lighter on the onions as I picked a few out due to the size but still delicious nonetheless. The extravaganza came with two slices of French toast, eggs, bacon and potatoes. The bacon seemed a little tasteless but the French toast was delicious. The eggs were fine and the potatoes were good as well. Overall I really enjoyed my two meals. My wife ordered the western omelette and the lemon ricotta and blueberry pancakes. The western omelette came with potatoes and salad. The omelette good however she really loved the pancakes. Between the mimosas and the pancakes she had no room for anything else. Overall we had a great experience and we will definitely return. Great service, good food and an enjoyable experience.

I dined here for the first time with a friend. It's a nice, comfortable environment with friendly and professional staff. We started with the salted caramel beignets. Delicious. I ordered the eggstravaganza and my friend got the chicken and waffle. The waffle was good, but the chicken was dry with little flavor. I liked everything with my meal, except the French toast. The ham was really good. I would return.

Food was amazing! I had the Cajun shrimp and grits and it was the best shrimp and grits I've ever had! Restaurant was very clean, updated, and service was great! Food arrived fast, hot and fresh. There was a wait time the day I went (on a Saturday). Wait was quoted at 30 minutes, but we only waited 20 minutes. Superb!

Dear Waffle, and eggs, don't be jealous it's true, I will have an appetite for all of you. Golden and crispy a sweet savory dream. Who's the best power couple in this whole thing? Us, NO! Chicken and waffle was the one who shined! I moaned, groaned, ooooh'd and ah'd. This waffle was the BEST! O - M - G!!!!! The better half and I have several trips planned and through BWI so I'm going to suggest this place be our "on the way" to the airport stop. I need this in my life, I mean good food = good mood! Who doesn't love a good breakfast spot? Make the trip! Worth every breakfast bite! Ambiance is chill. Casual for breakfast! Save your good threads for date night! Good, good, good! Lick your plate good! No getting into it because it's ALL GOOD! Dreaming of this until I return....

Crab and Shrimp Benedict over cheesy grits@ Eggspectation!

Making a BWI run had us in the Gambrills area, so how could we resist one of if not the best breakfast spot in the DMV!! Since I first visited the location in Silver Spring many moons ago, I've been a huge fan! The food is consistently OUTSTANDING! The interior is similar to First Watch.. Kinda country and no frills. This time out I had the crab and shrimp Benedict over cheesy grits and she had Chicken and Waffles. I've never had a Benedict like this, no English Muffin, hey, who needed the carbs anyway.. I absolutely loved it. She couldn't stop talking about how good her waffle was and after tasting it she was right! We chose not to wait and was lucky enough to snag a couple seats at the bar so that we could dive right in. Our bartender did an excellent job serving us and making drinks for the entire restaurant..I hate it when I don't remember names to give the appropriate shout out... I'll do better! :) If breakfast food is your thing, try out the restaurant that has "egg" in its name.. Just note, they have an awesome dinner menu too that I'm dying to try!!

I've been to Eggspectation in Gambrills a few times now, and every visit has been solid! The service is always friendly and attentive, and the food is consistently great. The ambiance is bright, upbeat, and perfect for a weekend brunch or casual catch-up with friends. This was my first time trying Vincent's Iced Espresso, so good! As for the food... I only remembered to take a pic more than halfway through eating because it was that good. I'll try to get a full plate photo next time before I devour it Definitely one of my go-to brunch spots in the area. Highly recommend!

Randomly came here with a friend and it wasn't busy at all. We were seated immediately. I ordered the French toast and French fries and it was pretty good. My friend ordered the wings and a shrimp sandwich, but the waiter couldn't really provide us with helpful information about the menu. I think she was only familiar with some items. The restaurant was nicely decorated and clean. Overall it was decent and a pretty good breakfast spot if you want a quick bite! They used to have a location in Silver Spring, but that closed a while ago! I wasn't disappointed with my meal and if I'm in the area I would absolutely return!

    Red sangria

First day date of 2026 we ventured to Eggspectation for brunch to kick off the year. The hostess was welcoming and after a brief 15 min wait we were seated. Service was great, fast and efficient for a busy day, the drinks were perfection and food was good but some items seemed pricey in comparison. Some version of bagel-n-lox is my go to breakfast/brunch order so the smoked salmon benny was calling my name. It was tasty but not sure it matched the price point of $25. (They have a similar dish- Bene Duck that is a croissant with poached eggs, duck confit, hollandaise on a croissant for $23 so not sure why the smoked salmon is slightly more expensive but the price-point did not deter me from trying it as its typically around $18-20 per entree most places.) The Jamaican coffee was strong coffee with a good amount of liquor, it was perfection in a mug and my fav thing of the day for $13. My hubby had the sangria and eggspectation burger $23 which he shared the burger needed a sauce so it was a bit dry and the sangria was just okay. Overall good experience and good food, some items on the menu seem a bit overpriced compared to other brunch spots but ultimately we enjoyed the experience and will be back! (Total cost for two for brunch with two entrees, no apps and two alcoholic drinks: ~$80)

02/20/26 5 Stars **…read more Wife and I were in Annapolis for a doctor's appointment, and afterwards she asked, "Where are you taking me for lunch?" I jumped on Yelp and started searching. I had heard about a seafood place in Severna Park, but I wasn't in the mood for seafood. That's when I came across Betty Lou's. As soon as I looked at the food photos, I knew that's where we were headed. It was about a 20 minute ride from Annapolis not bad at all. Betty Lou's is located in a shopping center. There were a few cars in the lot when we pulled up, but I wasn't sure if they were there for the restaurant or other businesses nearby. When we walked in, there was one person sitting at the bar. We asked if we could sit there, and the bartender (don't remember her name) was very pleasant and welcoming. She thanked us for coming in, and when I mentioned I found the place on Yelp, she explained that everything is made fresh to order. They have an excellent selection of craft drinks on the menu, the assortment of cocktails and wines that look very good. My wife ordered an iced tea, and I had the Jimmy Red Old Fashioned. The drink looked fantastic, and she took her time carefully measuring each ingredient. That's how cocktails are supposed to be made balanced and flavorful, not just tasting like straight liquor. If I wanted that, I'd just order bourbon neat. For lunch, my wife ordered the meatloaf with collard greens and roasted potatoes. I had already decided on the chicken pot pie after seeing it online. I did find it a little strange they don't offer mashed potatoes as a side with meatloaf, that would've made it a home run in my opinion. When the food arrived, everything looked excellent. The pot pie was larger than I expected compared to the pictures, and the meatloaf was a generous portion as well. After the first bite, I can honestly say it was one of the best chicken pot pies I've had loaded with tender chicken, carrots, onions, celery, and a rich, flavorful gravy. And the pastry crust? The BEST I've ever had. It was big enough that I had leftovers for dinner. My wife's meatloaf was tender and flavorful, and the collard greens were packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. The roasted potatoes were just okay again, mashed would've put it over the top but that's just personal preference. She also had plenty leftovers for dinner. The food was great, the décor was nicely done, and the service was excellent. If this place were closer to home, it would definitely be a regular spot for us. We need something like this down in Calvert County. Overall, if you're looking for a great meal and well-crafted drinks, Betty Lou's is absolutely worth the drive even if you live a little ways away.

We were sat pretty quickly & our waitress was great. But half way through she handed us over to the bartender, who just seemed inconvenienced that we were there. My husband had just finished a beer when she took over (which was in a can, not a tap beer), she asked if he wanted another, he said yes, and brought some draught beer that definitely wasn't what he was drinking. We are very easy going, so that wasn't even the end of the world. But she wasn't very friendly so we just went with it. The food. We ordered rockfish bites for an app, chicken pot pie, bacon wrapped shrimp & Mac & cheese. I will say, everything came out quickly. Rockfish bites: Not only were they bland & salt-less, but not all of them were cooked all the way through. The bacon-wrapped shrimp were ok, but cold in spots. The chicken pot pie: This is the reason I came. Certainly you can't mess this up, seeing how my favorite pot pie is from KFC. My standards aren't that high. I wish I could add a photo to a low review. I've never seen the inside of a pot pie that was dark gray. It didn't look appetizing at all, but it's a pot pie so I'm not basing anything on appearance. Once I took a bite I realized that it was gray because there was SO MUCH ground thyme in it. Like they dumped a whole jar in there. It wasn't even edible. The Mac & cheese was really good, I wish I had just ordered that. Before you reply that we should have said something, we already felt like we were an inconvenience to the bartender & she didn't even care enough to serve the same beer that was originally ordered. We didn't even want to deal with her. So we chalked it up as a loss. Of over $100. This place is so cute, we really loved the ambiance & wanted to love the food. We definitely won't be back, but I don't think it's going to be around much longer anyway.

I've seen Pier 99 for years and after our plans fell through for Cinco De Mayo and needed to pivot…read moresomewhere close, lets grab a margarita at Pier 99. I was a first timer and she's been once before. Given the name, I figured it was a seafood restaurant. Although some seafood is on the menu, Pier 99 is primarily a Sushi/Asian food restaurant. I think a name change should be in order.. Lol! I literally had to switch up my taste buds to partake in some sushi! I ordered a seafood boil because I couldn't switch them up fast enough while she ordered sushi. I actually love the concept because so many people aren't sushi fans but most folks get down with seafood! The food was actually good and they pulled off both cuisines effortlessly! My margarita was as good as any chain Mexican restaurant, so that was additional plus given the Mexican holiday. The interior is on the smaller side, however, they offer booth seating and it has a decent size bar. If I lived in the Upper Marlboro/Bowie area like I used to, I'd come here often but since I don't, I'll occasionally stop in when I'm in the area! Good job Pier 99!

Cousin Frisco Tap House…read more I absolutely love this place! The customer service is top-tier every single time we come in, the staff goes above and beyond. We usually pull up deep with our car family, and they handle our large group with so much patience and positive energy. It never feels like a hassle to them, which says a lot. Frisco has really opened its doors to our car community by hosting a Cars & Coffee series, and that kind of support doesn't go unnoticed. You can tell the whole team genuinely welcomes us they treat us like family every time. Now let's talk about the drinks...always on point! I'm a lightweight, so I only need one, and somehow they manage to make it just right because about two hours later, I'm exactly where I need to be...knocked out in my bed . And listen...THE CHICKEN & WAFFLES?! Hands down my favorite. So damn good every single time. Crispy, flavorful, and just hits the spot. If you haven't tried it yet, you're missing out My goal is to try lunch/dinner menu!! #tellemdivazincsentyou

Christian was our server and he made good recommendations for items to try. As I mentioned it was a Friday afternoon so it was busy in the dining room area in the back so I can't wait to come at night to see its true atmosphere.
