We've been to Eggsperience many times, and it truly never disappoints. But this visit was a little extra special, we came on Christmas Eve day, and the place was almost empty. Just us, a quiet room, and a whole lot of good energy. Every server working that morning was incredibly friendly and attentive. Maybe it was because we were the only ones there. Maybe it was the Christmas spirit. Maybe a perfect mix of both. Whatever it was, it turned a simple brunch into a genuinely lovely experience. And the food? As always, excellent and abundant, comforting, generous, and exactly what you want when you're settling into a holiday mood. A lot from this place can improve! We were there on New Year's Day. The seat we were sitting at was freezing from some draft to begin with. The service took a long time, also to begin with just to get a decaf coffee and a tequila sunrise that looked terrible, NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURE that gets displayed on the table. Then I ordered my breakfast with my eggs poached. The food took forever to arrive, and my eggs were fried. I made the waitress aware of it and she said that she would get them replaced. By time she got around to remembering my eggs I was at a point that I had eaten the rest of my breakfast and some of the whites of the fried eggs since I was hungry. She said that we're almost ready. Really?! Then she added that she would get them ready to go instead and not charge me. Who cares at that point? A few minutes later, some other waitress brings the eggs to the table on a plate with the doily to eat at the table. I am one of those people that are very patient, but I've had it at that point and asked for the check. I just threw the coach X into the to go boxes that a different waitress had gotten for me. I am even mad at myself for tipping decently. I'm never going back to this location and I don't know why I did. The one on Irving Park by six corners is 10 times better and closer to home. I just wanted to go for a little drive with my son on that day. Such good food!!! The waiters were very nice and looked actually happy to work there. It only took maybe 10 minutes to come out? The reason this was 4 stars was because I ordered the Nutella banana crepes and when Nutella crepes comes to mind I think of the Nutella inside instead of drizzled on top. Been there before good food ,good service. All was great till we paid. We used the InKind app which for us has worked fabulous many times before. Review is not about the food again food was great it's about the employees apparently being cheated. Upon paying I showed the waitress/server our paid receipt and immediately her kind ways went out the door, apparently when you tip through the app for this particular store the tip as she explained goes somewhere into the world not the workers . Which I apologized for not having had the problem at any restaurant I've used the app on. She was quite rude and standoffish after I told her that I was sorry that maybe the manager ,owner should be told about this . She said owner doesn't care they still make money. Excellent spot for brunch! I've been trying to get over here for a long time and finally made it this weekend. The space is huge inside and service is super fast. We got two kids' meals and two regular ones and it only took like 10 minutes from ordering to get our food. A nice touch is the water carafe at the table and a coffee carafe for refills of both. The hammy sami is delicious and the kid Oreo pancake plate is huge! read more

I believe he's the Manager - tall guy with a nice smile. My food was packaged perfectly including the 2 cup coffee holder they provided. Food was good as before. 1st time at Eggsperience in Elmwood Park. Came in on a Saturday. I was surprised because it was not that crowded at all. Only a few tables had customers considering how many tables the restaurant has. The hostess sat us down. Waited 20+ minutes and no one came to our table to take our order. Watched 3 other tables get seated after coming in after us and a server came to take their order. I went to the hostess and let her know this. She said okay, would get someone. 5 minutes later what I presume was the manager came by and asked if anyone has came and served us. We said no and decided to just leave at this point. There was no apology from the hostess and manager/server/whoever the worker was either. I guess I found out why Eggsperience in Elmwood Park was not busy on a Saturday. It's nice to have a breakfast spot in the circle, as the food travels well just a few blocks to our home. We've ordered a few times over the past year and are always satisfied. We rarely order or go out to breakfast, and because of that I'm not too picky about it. Really all you have to do is crisp up those hash browns nice and brown, and I'm happy. I'm delighted to report that the hash browns were very crispy even after the 5 minute drive home. Yum! The crepes taste better than the picture would lead one to believe. The Greek yogurt was wonderful, as it satisfied my sweet tooth while keeping the dish manageable and not overly sweet. My family and I visited today for the first time ever, and to my surprise the establishment is much larger than anticipated with booths lining along the walls and multiples tables placed in the center to accommodate large parties if necessary. The restaurant wasn't busy, a few tables, but surprisingly it took a while for us to be seated. But once we were I knew exactly what I wanted to order since I took the time looking over a menu at the front counter. Our server was the absolute kindest as she placed our daughter's order first since she was constantly demanding the Mickey Mouse pancakes. I went with the Ranchero omelette with a side of black beans. All in all the portions were very generous and the prices fairly matched the sizes of the dishes. I don't even know where to start. Our server was very rude. She cut me off after I ordered one thing and closed her server book. I added ONE other item to my order and she rolled her eyes as if I inconvenienced her. Secondly, our server was also serving the table behind us who were white and she treated them SUBSTANTIALLY better. My mother asked her about a dish and if she would recommend it, ANY server is trained to persuade the customer by saying "yes I've tried it and I really like it" or "People who order it tend to like it" ANYTHING like that. Instead, she just shrugged her shoulders and mumbled "I don't know". So right off the bat, poor customer service. The food was mediocre and during our meal she came over and gave us the check we DIDNT yet ask for. She was essentially hurrying us out of the establishment. We did not feel welcome, we were made uncomfortable, especially since it was mother's birthday. I wish I could tell you her name so no one else has to endure this unfair treatment. When this place first opened the line was constantly out the door and the service was astronomical. It's saddening to see what it now has become. read more

Randomly found this place near our Airbnb. The food was delicious. Couldn't decide what to get so we ordered a few plates to try. The portions are huge and all very flavorful. The skillet had lots of steak and veggies. Just a tiny bit too salty so I ordered some sour cream to neutralize it. The crepes were thicker than I've usually had, but they were so good and it was plenty. Lastly the biscuit and gravy were also very good. Lots of flavor and very filling. This is 2023 and I shouldn't be writing these type of reviews, but here I am... My husband and I are always looking for new restaurants to try. We are foodies at heart and enjoy trying restaurants we haven't been to before. I was scrolling on Yelp and found this nice and local breakfast and brunch restaurant. Of course we always read the reviews before we go. The reviews were great for a local spot. We were looking forward to going and trying it out. We even looked at the menu online and already picked out what we was going to order. When we walked in, we were not greeted. The host said: "Table for 2?" Not a good morning, how you're doing, nothing. We weren't expecting the red carpet treatment, but a simple "good morning" would've sufficed. The service was definitely slow. The waitress did not greet us either. She said: "What can I get for you?" Really? Ok. We placed our drink orders. We waited an additional 5 minutes to order the food. She wasn't attentive at all. We noticed another table that were seated 5 minutes after us. They were greeted with a big "good morning" with smiles included. We also overheard the waitress tell the table that the entire menu was available, both breakfast and lunch. They placed their orders immediately and way before us. If I knew that the whole menu was available, I would've ordered something else. The table that arrived after us got their food BEFORE us. We finally got our food. We had no problem with the food whatsoever. The food was good. But not good enough to be charged $44 and some change. Not good enough for the mediocre service we received. Also, our table was lopsided (with a piece of felt at the bottom to even it out) and my side of the booth was slanted. I had to sit on the edge of the seat just to get to my plate. I felt a racist vibe. My husband mentioned it first and I agreed with him. I'm going to go ahead and say it. The service was slower for us because we are black. If you're not black, you would never understand. "We" know what racism is, even if it's subtle and subliminal. Like I said, this is 2023 and I shouldn't be writing reviews like this. I would've like to return to try out the lunch menu, but that will not be happening. We will not "Eggsperience" this restaurant again. My husband and I eat out out all of the time. If your having trouble finding a great breakfast place... your need to experience eggsperience ... they have a great chilaquiles and they have a great breakfast sandwich. Not to mention the mimosas and tequila sunrise..for breakfast???? There is never a bad time for alcohol.. just saying. Priced right, service very attentive and very comfy place. I recommend the steak and eggs.. and chilaquiles.. spicy kick with a tolerable burn for those who cant handle heat. Coffee is always great. Go and check it out.. you can't go wrong. I wanted over medium eggs and my husband asked for scrambled eggs they mixed up the order, but no problem, the eggs were not over medium at all. My dish advertise black beans and it literally had a 2 oz plastic cup with beans that had a funny texture. The food came out extremely fast as if it had been ready to just be thrown on the plate. We were wanting a breakfast/brunch place that was near the O'Hare airport and let me just say... WOW! This place is fantastic! There is plenty of parking along the strip and even though the location looks small it is very spacious on the inside. We were seated immediately and the manager? Owner? (Not entirely sure) was walking around and greeted us personally. He was very nice and made us feel like we were being taken care of by family. The gentleman spoke to us in Spanish and most of the staff did, we felt so at home. Now the food.... I literally can't wait to go back to Chicago just to get the Yai Yai Waffle.... I loved it! I've been looking for a new breakfast place and I walked by this one once, so me and my boyfriend decided to stop by and give it a try. The first time we were there the food was delicious, I really enjoyed it but the service was pretty slow. It was a Sunday morning and the place was packed, so maybe they didn't have enough servers. It took almost half an hour for us to put in our order and the server I don't think stopped by our table even once to ask if we need anything else and if everything is okay. Once we were done eating it took another minute for her to come by and give us the check, and once we got it after taking a look at it we've realized it wasn't even ours. But everyone has worse days so we decided to give it another try. The second time we went there the service was excellent and the food still great. You get a good amount for the price you pay. I ended up eating half and taking the other half to go. We didn't wait at all this time and the food came fast. We were in and out. The server mentioned that he has just started when I asked him about their latte flavors and had to go back and make sure what they have but I really have nothing bad to say about him. He stopped by our table making sure everything is good, was very nice and polite, didn't mess up any of our orders and was pretty fast with everything. I was satisfied. Driven by the place a few times now and since I had wandered slightly away from my usual path home in the morning, I found myself going by at breakfast time, so I stopped in. Got there a little before 8AM - nobody in the place. Not a good sign for a spot whose focus is breakfast. While I was there, two more parties came in - a total of five more people, so I wasn't alone, but I hope that day was the exception rather than the rule. Ordered my usual Denver omelette (they call it something similar) and an orange juice. Omelette's there are of the fluffy variety - this one was pretty large. Good - but didn't wow me. Hash browns were good too. OJ was OK. Total pre-tax was $16.78 - after tax and tip, $21.50. Seems a little high for breakfast. Service was ok - waitress was nice. The one thing that struck me was the atmosphere. Had the place had a few more people in it, I might not have noticed, but their sound system was horrible. Felt like I was listening to several poor fidelity transistor radios blasting. I wasn't - I saw the speakers on the ceiling, but they'd be better off with no tunes at all than the tinny noise coming out of those things. No wow's here - just a decent breakfast. read more

The waitress and owner were extremely pleasant. They came around often to check up on everyone. The food was delicious and had great presentation. I went on a Wednesday Morning, so the place wasn't too busy. However, they only had 1 waitress waiting the whole place (10-12 tables). Wow, I been to Eggsperience with the family over 30 times. I was there again yesterday with my family, party of 5! My brother register before I arrived 5 minutes later, they told us the wait will be about 25-30 minutes. I wasn't mad about it, is Sunday morning. As I looked into the dining room I noticed several booths opens, so I suggested we get a booth and they give us an extra chair. The young lady said, I have a table for 4 if you guys don't mind squeezing in? I said we can make it work... but then she takes us to our table and there's another table of 4 next next to it., EMPTYAnd remember several booths are still open. So why are we squeezing into a table? We didn't complain and made it work. Now our server past by our table 5-10 times, keep in mind we didn't know it was her.
