I would say Scottsdale is THE place to brunch so hard! There are so many choices. Every now and then I like to switch it up... This was one of those days. I really appreciate any breakfast place that has 1. Good coffee 2. Fresh squeezed OJ. Eggstasy has both! I felt pretty boring and opted for typical eggs over medium and maple sausage. My daughter had the red velvet pancakes... I'm not sure how I feel about that...In one way they are decadent and delicious... In another way, I feel like it's just way too much for breakfast. It was really rich like a dessert. My other daughter opted for some Mickey Mouse pancakes. Overall things were good. Our server was really good as well. I've heard mixed reviews regarding the service from time to time. I'm not sure why I don't get to Eggstasy more often! Waitress was attentive, coffee refilled constantly. Ordered Steak and Eggs Benedict, ate through 75% of it, bit into a chunk of egg shell and then found a piece of shell the size of a quarter. Manager offered to remake it, manager kinda tried to joke do I want a box for the rest. I understand if there is a tiny piece of shell, I've made eggs before, but a quarter size chunk just totally ruined my appetite, like spitting out pieces of shell and still finding grit in my teeth. Came back after a bad service experience 2 days ago when I gave a lower review for the service and 5 stars for the food. Today the food and service were exceptional. I'm thinking that 2 days ago they must have been short handed? Not sure but it was a totally different experience today. Our server Jose was excellent, and the Gypsy Steak Skillet was awesome! Decided on a breakfast adventure this morning for the three of us and while breakfast is always a challenge with an 8 year old food snob and because Alexis and I love great coffee, appreciate great service and will try multiple dishes just so we can say we did. As most that follow me know I rarely give 5 stars the first visit because consistency is one of my caveats for that. But let me tell you the food is five stars and the service to match! Henry was our server and he was pleasant and just the right attentiveness. Try the fresh OJ and Strawberry juice! It was perfect. And their coffee is lavazza, which is always a good base start to any coffee. I totally recommend the Barbacoa Eggs Benedict!! If you're from Texas you like your Barbacoa a certain way and these guys got it right and to combine it with the Benedict and the hash browns was a fantastic presentation! Alexis had the crispy prosciutto eggs benedict, mouth watering and we shared some banana macadamia pancakes. Those were delicious!! Came here with my parents, this was my first time here but they frequent it. It's bright, open and very clean. They have unisex bathrooms I believe there was 4 total maybe 5. The bathroom were clean and fully stocked. They have a big patio area where you can dine and also an area which appeared to be a section you can reserve as it was closed off from the other dining areas. The waitress was pleasant, kept our drinks full and checked on us frequently. They have a machine that makes freshly squeezed OJ as it's ordered which I thought was pretty cool I haven't seen that before. I ordered the Barbacoa omelette with hash browns and pancakes. The pancakes looked pretty on the plate , packed great flavor but were a little on the dry side. My omelette was filled with hatch green chiles and onions with barbacoa on top and sour cream, the barbacoa was flavorful. The portions are pretty big I could only eat less than half of the omelette my dad said that they use 6 eggs for an omelette... which is cool if you like to take home left overs. I don't live in the area, if I was in the area I would definitely dine here again. read more

Went here for breakfast Sunday morning, august 21, early, like 8AM. First off it's kinda a foo foo breakfast place, you won't see biscuits and gravy or other old time favorites. You will see eggs Benedict, lots of healthy,options, omelette etc. or order scrambled eggs sausage, hash browns, pancakes. 1st scrambled eggs were way over cooked, browned in areas. Sent those back got new ones and they were perfect. 2nd the hash browns are so cooked they literally crunch in your mouth, over cooked 3rd sausage was just weird, funny taste, again over cooked in my opinion. Just didn't like it. Pancakes meh. And this place isn't cheap. Overall, one of the worst breakfast I've ever had. It's pretty hard to mess up breakfast, but it happened. Hands down the best eggs Benny ($16.70) and bloody Mary ($11) that I've had in a long time! The Bloody Mary had egg on top that was a gummy and bacon dipped in quality chocolate!!!! The menu is full of amazing food choices and they actually have gluten-free pancakes that are tasty! My entree came with a luscious fruit kabob and was artfully arranged. When you first get to the establishment you do notice that the building is rather outdated. It was semi unorganized and once we were seated someone did give us glasses with water but one if the glasses was dirty and had lipstick stains on it. Once we did order our food and received it we noticed that the food did not taste that well. Had very strange flavors that did not blend well together. There was also a bug that came out of the strawberry garnish on top of a hair being on it. They do not wash their fruit properly which makes us question what else they do not clean properly. Today was a weird day. Went to breakfast at Eggstasy in Scottsdale and will never go back to that place again. The Manager/Owner or whoever he was was so rude. I'm still in awe to think that people still have a certain mindset when they see black people. 1. We ordered Mimosas so they gave us a bottle and cranberry juice and orange juice for it in regular cups with straws and our waitress told us to put our finger on the top on the straw to hold the juice and put it in our champagne glasses that way 2. No one eats pork but ham was put in one of the veggie omelets. When we told the manager and he "clapped" at us and told us the ham is next to the veggies on the prep line so it may have accidentally got in what do he want him to do" while raising his voice at us. Also was missing syrup on one of the French toast and the waitress I guess didn't like that we asked for one. 3. The first set of glasses we got were all dirty so we asked for replacements. We got new ones but mine was dirty again so i asked for another. The waitress got mad I guess with that and talked bad about us to the manager and lied and told him it was just water spots even though I showed her the left over pulp in my cup. When I asked her if I lied about that in front of her manager she just stood there quiet. 4. Someone at the table ordered a side of turkey bacon and the waitress had it added to her skillet which made it soggy. Then the waitress told her she never said that even though I confirmed our whole order before she put it in. 5. The manager yelled at us and told us we gave them problems from the start and we need to leave before he calls the police. All this because our waitress didn't really want to wait on us from jump. They even sat us in a more secluded area. The only blacks really in there I guess. My mind is still in awe. I've worked in the restaurant industry and have never seen a manager behave so unprofessional in my life. Something was off from when we walked in but we tried to stay positive and have a good start to our morning but this is so unacceptable. read more

The orange juice was incredibly fresh and delicious green tea. Avocado toast was very good as a starter but I could have done without the fresh fruit on top I'd rather eat the fruit separately (which I did) then as a main....HOLY OMELETTE! It was huge! I went with the ham and cheese and added mushrooms. Excellent taste and filled with gooey cheese, hash browns were tasty I know practically everyone likes crispy hash browns but I prefer just a crisp crispy crust and softer underneath (they set my standard) sourdough toast was delicious and thick!
