I've always had a pleasant experience at this location, with the exception of today. My daughter's pizza bagel was literally burnt to a crisp and essentially inedible. Not to mention, I previously placed a mobile order and forgot to add on the reward of the free coffee with purchase. When I arrived to the location and explained it to the staff, the manager reluctantly provided me with the cup and stated this would be the "last time". Keep in mind my purchase prior to this one was about 2 dozen bagels for my mothers office party, which wasn't cheap- so I'm not exactly sure as to why management would display such a concerning attitude over a simple coffee I forgot to add to my mobile order. Einstein's on the corner of Enterprise and McMullen Booth in Safety Harbor is that chain coffee and bagel place that it's staff really tries to make it a neighborhood place. I like that. We go here 2-3 times a month (and a bit more now that I work from home) and enjoy it's casual environment, no pressure atmosphere and good coffee. Espresso drinks are fairly good / consistent and normally taste a bit stronger/better than 'that 'bucks' place across the street. Bagel sandwiches are really good but keep in mind for a sandwich some of the specialty ones are a little pricey. The "Ranch house" is my go to favorite for breakfast along with the Spicy Chorizo and Egg one, but beware the aforementioned will make you sweat a bit if you're not into spice in the morning. The sit down and work or study environment is there and pretty nice. I recommend headphones if you don't like the music they play there. It tends to be a little loud unless you have headphones w/ your own music. The fireplace is a nice touch. You 'almost' get a sense that you're sitting at someone's cabin up North. This is the closest Einstein to me, but it's the worst in Tampa Bay. I have no idea why I think I'll come back and get better service but I never do. It's not that the workers aren't nice, they just don't know their job. They can't take a full order and get it right. Toasted bagels with shmear. Nova lox bagel toasted. Another toasted bagel with a different shmear. Get home and the Nova Lox Bagel isn't toasted. The bagel with schemata isn't toasted and the bagel that's toasted has no schmear on it. It's just bagels! How hard can it be? Every other Einstein in Tampa had been wonderful. The one on 4th street in St Pete was super busy when I used to work around the corner and they always get it right. The one on Dale Mabry in Carrollwood (probably my fave) always gets it right. Not my favorite location. Drove over a long way to take part inn the national bagel day. There was no clear instruction or anything around promoting the special day. You have to know before arriving, thanks social media. Anyway, I ordered a toasted nova lox toasted which I paid for separately since this was not part of national bagel day. Wifey got an toasted Asiago Bagel with Cream Cheese shmear. I asked for the same, except I asked for chive shmear. Such a small location. Seating is hard to come by, either inside or out. My beau and I stopped here to see about breakfast after a sleep over at his place. We waited in a short line, we placed our orders for their cheesy hash brown bagel, or at least the same thing, with an Everything bagel instead since they were out of those hash brown bagels. We bussed our own table, got our coffee and sat and waited for our food to be ready. The food was tasty and made well. The service was fine. read more

TLDR: Spinach Florentine bagel is delicious. Avocado toast bagel is just ok. Staff always friendly. Gets really busy on weekend mornings. While my husband was getting his hair cut on a Saturday morning I decided to take the kids out to breakfast. I ordered a jalapeño bagel avocado toast style and the kids shared a plain bagel with strawberry cream cheese. I usually get the spinach Florentine bagel but they were out so I tried something new. My bagel was very plain tasting with large slices of jalapeño rather than small tastes throughout. So it would be spicy for one bite and then bland again. Though the avocado did balance out the spice well, I would have really enjoy it better with the truest flavorful spinach Florentine. My daughters basically ate the cream cheese off of their bagels and didn't eat the actual bagel. The bathrooms were clean and the service was nice but very busy and waiting for food with kids can be rough. Inside was completely full but we were able to find a table outside. It can get very hot out in Florida so I would say come early in the morning or on a weekday if you want to eat inside. Event the long tables made for big groups or random people to eat cafeteria style were full on a Saturday morning. read more

This is one of my favorite breakfast spots! While Einstein's is a bit pricier than Dunkin Donuts and you have to make your own coffee, the breakfast foods are well worth the extra dollars. The staff is friendly and never frazzled even during morning rushes, the restaurant is clean and the bagels are always fresh. With such high volumes (especially in the morning on Saturdays and Sundays) the restaurant seems to be fully staffed to cater to its customers, so wait time isn't bad. If you join the Shmear Society online there are some extra perks such as coupons and earning points for each visit that can stack up to upsizing and free items. All in all, Einstein's has turned into a weekend staple in my house. If you haven't been, you should! And order one of their signature breakfast sandwiches, you won't be sorry! read more

I was THRILLED last night when I found out Caribou Coffee had partnered with this location as a northerner who used to manage a Caribou Coffee. They grew my love of espresso initially and I knew I had to make the trip here today to check it out. Small interior but very friendly and helpful staff. The girls were very personable with me even though clearly really busy at 10am on Monday. Amazing drink quality, just like I remembered and a good selection of breakfast items! The only downside to my trip today was learning that they don't sell the coffee in bulk as they would at stand alone Caribou's and would weigh and grind to your liking. Thankfully, I can order that way online still and I am excited to share my love of Caribou and support my local location. If you're sick of Starbucks, come try Caribou! I haven't been to an Einstein Bagels in years, mostly because there aren't any near my house. I was in the area in the morning so I had to stop in. I'm so glad I did. There were so many options that sounded good, but I opted for the Bacon and Spinach sandwich on a Cheesy Hashbrown Bagel...yum! The bacon was cooked perfectly crisp, and there was a yummy sauce slathered on the bagel. I used to get their Asiago bagel, but this cheesy hashbrown one is pretty darn tasty! I will definitely be back if I'm in the area around breakfast. In the meantime, I hope to see one built in the Trinity area...although I'm sure that would mean my waistline and my credit card bills will both be increasing... read more

That made my chai tea latte come down to the low price of $1.86. And it's good, too! They have all of the fixin's that you'd need for a handcrafted beverage, including honey bears. Score! The avocado was NOT ripe. It was hard and bitter. It was also about a table spoon portion for 2 halves of a bagel :( . Having worked in food industry for several years, it really frustrates me when common sense doesn't kick in for whoever prepared my food. When avocado doesn't mash easy-it's NOT ripe!!! There wasn't any additional flavor to the avocado mash and again, tiny portion for a WHOLE bagel! I've been coming here for a long time. The turkey sausage cheddar (whole) egg sandwich with roasted tomato sauce with a large vanilla hazelnut coffee is the only fast food I enjoy-- no, LOVE. I'd go in, order it, realize that in fact I want a dozen bagels-- sesame! poppyseed! EVERYTHING bagels. Did I got lox? LOX. Do we have cream cheese? Get the full fat kind! The veggie kind! THE GARLIC KIND. OMG THEY HAVE PUMPKIN SCHMEAR IN. My initial reaction to hearing they were remodeling was, Great! It's kind of crufty in there. And then... then I learned... Caribou "Coffee." I use quotes because is Caribou Coffee really coffee? Or is it coffee scented tap water? I think the answer is clear. I have issues with k-cup because most don't make big cups of dark coffee and they're amazingly wasteful. But, they exist, you encounter them. Which is how I learned of Caribou-- Caribou, The Worst Coffee In The World. Having been closed for renovations for a seemingly long, long time, I stepped into the renovated store, hungry, thoughts filled with a my desired sandwich. I take in the store's design. I think, the design was suggested by someone that loved Starbucks, had applied 3 times for design jobs there, and each time was told: Barista? Sure, fill out the application. Designer? HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA NO. By the great merciful Siren of Starbucks, No. Give up the idea entirely, you're without a shred of skill. That's the designer who turned Einstein's into a shitty version of Starbucks. Even given all that, I'm like, do I give a fuck? -Really-? No. Not even one. AS LONG AS MY WHOLE EGG SESAME TURKEY SAUSAGE CHEDDAR SANDWICH WITH ROAST TOMATO SAUCE IS AWESOME. And it wasn't it. To be honest, it was probably the worst experience in my life and in the lives of everyone I know. It was egg white. EGG WHITE. And a soggy bagel. SOGGY. And instead of awesome roasted tomato sauce was some kind of goo. Disgusting goo. You're probably wondering, well at least you had a large vanilla hazelnut coffee. Well I didnt. They had none. Rather than drinking a coffee scented tap water and eating a debased version of my favorite sandwich at a pseudo Starbucks... I will drink my casual coffee at Starbucks. And I'll get breakfast good across the street-- at Elizabeth's Gourmet Delights. Y'all know I am a huge lox bagel fan and unbeknownst to me, this must be a genetic thing because my parents are big fans also. My dad ran to the store, which is a mere two miles away from their house, and picked up bagels to accompany the delightful spread of cream cheese, capers and smoked salmon. He says the service is great (maybe tomorrow i will try it out... if I get up in time!). What happened? Where are all the old employees? I've been going to this Einsteins forever. I knew they were remodeling and were closed for about a month. I knew some changes were being made, but wow. The store is obviously more about coffee than bagels now, but what happened to the bagels? The bagel case has been cut in half, so now- even moreso- they are low or out of many varieties when I stop in. Its made buying a bucket that will make all my employees happy an impossibility. I came in with a friend for lunch today and we ordered 2 individual bagels. Unfortunately I have to ask, are they even toasting them anymore? I'm shorter so I can't really see over the high counter. Once you pay they whisk you to the other end of the shop to wait, similar to starbucks, only at starbucks you can still watch them make your drink. I don't like how the counters are so high and have wood barricades blocking the view. I ordered two bagels, toasted with butter. They both came out like they had been put in the microwave. They were warm, hot enough to melt the "butter", but they were gummy / rubbery. Not toasted at all. There was also waaay too much butter substitute on them which only added to the flat tire unpleasantness. Also as others have mentioned, the new layout leaves much to be desired. There are multiple lounge chairs gathered around a fake hearth that seems so out of place in Florida. These might be great for someone on a solo lunch break, but for two friends wanting to catch up over coffee and bagels the options are limited. They don't have many small tables anymore and I've never been a big fan of sharing a large table with strangers. Caribou coffee also doesn't hold a candle to Starbucks. Its such a shame. Sub par coffee and now extremely sub par bagels. I also can't stress enough how much it bothers me I haven't seen a single familiar face since the re-opening. This is the first week of October and I really only came for a pumpkin drink and they said they are out of pumpkin for the rest of the season. They will be losing a lot of customers from that. I love love love Einstein bros bagels! They are really good and I love receiving coupons for them because that means I get a chance to indulge. I like this place (location) because it's much more friendly than the one across from Clearwater High School. You can often see people just chilling outside enjoying their bagels with their pets and kids. They are even nicer than the ones I've had serve me at the Gulf to Bay location. They have so many different bagels and also sandwiches. This place is just amazing! Get them when they are fresh and you won't regret it. The cream spread is even more amazing. I've never liked eating store bought cream cheese and have always gone out my way to get Einstein's cream cheese spread. read more

This place has terrible customer service. I had my order wrong twice and they didn't even offer me any kind of compensation. My coffee was not good due to chunky almond milk and charged me $8 for vegan cream cheese on four bagels when I only wanted it on two. No refund or anything for the trouble. Won't be back! read more
