I wanted to take advantage of their $9 Monday Bakers Dozen bagel deal. I tried to order in the app but their prices are always wrong so apparently the app isn't working. So at noon today, I decide to go in person to try to get the $9 Monday Bakers Dozen deal and there is a sign in the door that says they are out of bagels. I would hope that if they are going to promote a deal every Monday, they would have enough product. This was our third visit, all orders have been online. Our first visit we ordered from the lunch menu, TASTY TURKEY, PIZZA BAGEL and plain Turkey & cheese, they were all great and our order was correct! Our second visit (yesterday), ordered seven breakfast sandwiches for our family and my daughter's friends. The sandwiches tasted great but unfortunately they shorted us a sandwich and I didn't realize until I got home. I ended up giving up my GARDEN AVOCADO SANDWICH (amazing flavor with the spinach and roasted tomato spread) so they could all eat. Luckily my wife shared hers with me! I tried calling the store but no answer. Third visit (today) We wanted to try them out again, hoping they would get our order correct, and by the way my daughters love the chocolate chip muffins and were asking for one this morning so we made it happen! I took my receipt from yesterday and the young man was very nice and offered to make me another sandwich on the spot but I told him I had already ordered online so he gave me a voucher. After getting home, as my wife and I were eating our Garden Avocado Sandwiches we both thought it didn't have that same taste as yesterday and then about halfway through we realized they forgot to add the spinach and roasted tomato spread! Just not the same sandwich without! We have had Einstein bagels over the years while traveling on road trips and we really want this location to be successful, the food tastes great but hopefully they can become more consistent and accurate with their orders. I have never had an Einstein Bagel. Ive seen a few around California but never tried it. We were having our annual Employee Appreciation Day event here in San Bernardino. in years past, we ordered donuts and it was such a hassle picking up about 200 dozen donuts at 5am. Im an Executive Assistant at the local Hospital, so we're serving about 1500 employees more or less. This year, i wanted to stir it up and took a chance on this place! i am SO glad i did. we ordered 116 bakers dozens. Not only did Mark and his colleague arrive ON time at 5:40 AM, the bagels were ALL warmed, fresh and sliced! THE HOSPITALITIY OF THESE GUYS WAS ENOURMOUS AND WE REALLY APPRECIATE YOU! This was PERHAPS THE WORST BAGEL experience - I've ever experienced. Ordered a dozen bagels online via the app. Had to wait at the store over 48 mins. Insane bad service. Lots of others were also waiting for to-go orders. Then they were even out of some basic bagels and needed to substitute. It was morning so there is really no excuse. They didn't offer any concession, apologies or otherwise to any of US. Customer service is not it! I order online and the DoorDash doesn't let me add any special request to make sure to add whip cream! Cause they always forget it! When I got my order again no whip so I asked the manager on shift and she gave me the dirtiest look and goes you got to put it on request and I tried to explain to her that I couldn't cause it doesn't let me! Worst place ! Horrible service. I don't know who manage this place but everyone needs training . On my first and last visit the crew took more than 45 minutes to do my order . They' informed me that some bagels were not available which was not a problem . We buy what ever was available, however they sold us product that was not available and didn't inform until we ask what was the waiting. 45 minutes just to say they were waiting on bagels . This place has potential to be good but just took way too long to get anybody's order. Waited about 25 mins for just a bagel and cream cheese toasted nothing special. They have a lot of employees and was busy when I came in just takes too long to get an order. Maybe more of an assembly line would be more beneficial to get orders out faster. Went to Einstein today because I love their bagels and coffee. However, they can work on their customer service responses. They promote their point system for making purchases, but lack communication in asking customers for their phone number to accrue the points. Every time I go there I have to say, "Do you want my number?" Today, was no different except the transaction was already processed and no way of getting my points. When I brought it to the attention of the rep. they did say sorry. But someone else in the back chimed in and said,"We are NOT coached to ask you that." I found it to be rude, being that it's a new spot and shouldn't their goal be to keep customers coming back? Coaching is definitely in the agenda if you want to keep good customer service. read more

Not Highlands newest quick breakfast spot after all. The staff is relatively young, while understaffed still. They knew what they are doing, but the combination of under stocked items, mixed with a long line of customers ordering their most popular items, it was like hour long waits for bagels with cheese and eggs. Many customers being told in line that they are out of things like bacon, lettuce, Asiago bagels, Everything Bagels. And a separate line was formed of people with just complaints on their order, all of which were argued by employees. All orders remade each time. I ordered ahead (about 15 mins before I arrived at the store) and have still been waiting an additional 30 minutes. (After waiting 30 mins at the store, a combined 45min of waiting I hear the cooks start my order. To give an example of how backed up they are.) So the claims about ordering mobile aren't quite true. But it's hard to gauge because the app doesn't give you a time when your order is expected. Good Food, Clean Building, but the process of getting the food to you takes x2 as long as other locations and there's a high change they're out of what you wanted. I don't know what happened to this company. Their bagels are generally good, but this location is horrible.. I don't think anyone that' works there has ever visited a bagel shop outside of Panera.l, they obviously don't know anything about bagels. I don't know why you can't even get an egg bagel there and don't even get me started on the fact that they don't offer rye bagels as an option. You're better off just ordering bagels from H&H in New York and spending the extra money because you'll actually get a decent bagel that way. They finally got their supply chain issues fixed up and their stocking issues fixed up to a pretty significant degree. The food handling was some of the worst I've seen. The counters where so dirty and they where throwing food on there and letting it sit. I didn't see anyone change a glove.
