I had a craving for a bagel with cream cheese and a coffee. I had one the previous day in Portland, and it was divine! I was heading over to Whole Foods in Hillsboro, and remembered that there was a Noah's Bagels nearby. I couldn't find the big blue sign. Then I realized that it had been converted to Einstein Bros Bagels. I went in with the intention of bagel and cream cheese, but then I saw the light. The lighter side of bagel sandwiches that is. I ordered the avocado, turkey bacon sandwich on a thin bagel, for 400 calories. I also got an iced tea. It was OK, but not as satisfying as that bagel and cream cheese would have been! The turkey bacon was on the cold side. Like I said, it was OK. I'll have to go back to see if my bagel and cream cheese craving can be filled at a later date! read more

Most people refrain from patronizing a chain. Their bagels are okay, but they're not gourmet. Rhyme rhyme rhyme. I don't quite like the texture of their bagels, but the flavor is decent. I usually get the asiago cheese bagel with chive cream cheese. Their coffee is decent. Better than Starbucks. But the reason for the 3 stars is because my boyfriend and I agree that the manager here is just about the best customer service person ever. It's almost sickening. You have to witness it. As far as I know, she talks about rainbows and unicorns and magic bagels. But then the actual bagel you get is pretty good. Not amazing. We still need better bagels in this area. It's unfortunate that WinCo has the best bagels in this area. And they're pre-made. =/ read more

I paid almost 7 bucks for a bagel with cream cheese and a regular sized chai latte (Pretty sure they just warmed up some Oregon chai tea latte and that's about it). The bagel itself was pretty good. I'll probably go back and get another in the future but the latte itself was over priced. Doubt i'll get that again. Customer service was nice and quick. I'm so glad they're on door dash now. My favorite item is the nova lox sandwich on an everything bagel. It always tastes fresh and they give a nice portion of cream cheese and lox. They add tomato capers and red onion to the sandwich as well which gives a cool, fresh feel. This sandwich in particular also comes with a quarter pickle and chips as well. Most Einstein bagel spots mess up constantly. This place so far so good food is cooked good people are nice. Only tip I would say is the lady that talks to you really nice like a child needs to listen considerably better I started telling her what I wanted she walked away mid talk and didn't hear then told her again she still didn't get it then 2 more times and we got it. Goal: buy two bagels and cream cheese. I asked the woman standing behind the bagel counter "Are you the person to order from?" She didn't answer. Another woman leaned over with a curt attitude and asked me what I wanted. Okay, I get it you're having a bad day, but as a customer, do not take it out on me. I asked about the cream cheese, trying to find out if I needed to order a large extra container or if it came with enough, she ignored my question and asked me which one I wanted. For the next part of the experience, I walk down to the person manning the cash register. At least she was friendly and kind. She reassured me that each container that comes with the bagel would have plenty of cream cheese because they make an effort to always fill it completely. The pictures below show two containers, one with plenty of cream cheese and the other one not complete, as can be seen by how much made it onto the second 1/2 of the bagel. I blame myself for not opening the bags and pulling out each item and looking at it, but of course I assumed they were fine. Anyway, all this to say I will not be coming back to this shop for the service and for the lack of care regarding the orders. I find reviews helpful, so I am putting mine here. read more

I've went to this Einstein's twice in the last two weeks. The service was very good and friendly, and their coffee is way better than I expected. They use good quality beans and brew it strongly. Both times I ordered the same bagel sandwich using their app, and wasn't disappointed by it. If you're looking for a decent place to eat, and it's before 2pm (they close at 2), I definitely recommend this place. read more

Busy Sunday morning, the line had at least 6+ people. Even then the service was fast and efficient. The bagel was great, well done and despite the rush it was well put together. We also had lattes which were perfectly made. The staff is trying their best to keep up. The lobby was very full and messy. We took our order to go for that reason. Otherwise; I'd give 5 stars. The organization I work for hosted an event this week where we had over 70 attendees including employers, staff, and chamber members. We had several catering options, but we chose Einstein Bros. They were supposed to arrive with the food at 7:00am, no later than 7:15am. They didn't show up until after 8:00am. Outrageous. We needed to stick to a time schedule and Einstein Bros.' tardiness threw it off. It was embarrassing when a few of the employers had to go to the café next door to pay for coffee when we told them we would be providing them with the beverages. Needless to say, we will never be using Einstein Bros catering again for any future events. read more

I've lived almost across from this place for 2 years and never ventured in. I finally came in to try their breakfast bagel and now I probably won't be back anytime soon. I had a spinach, mushroom, and cheese bagel sandwich and a coffee. Coffee was good but sandwich was below average. My friend ordered an orange juice which was quite expensive ($6 for large?) so I thought it was at least fresh juice but turns out it was just from concentrate. I'm editing my review since I found out the crappy ingredients used in the food and the bogus explanations this company has for using them. So the bagels and drinks are good. It's fairly low calorie and fills you up. But guess what? They use high fructose corn syrup!! Cheap, harmful ingredients used at a place that gives the impression of being a gourmet bagel shop (especially with its prices). I emailed them about it and apparently without HFCS, bagels cannot be made properly. Apparently Thomas Bagels (high quality bagels) then aren't made properly... I'm never coming back until either they drop their prices down to less than $.50 a bagel or stop using HFCS. If I want to eat cheap food, I'll go to Dominos or Taco Bell which taste a billion times better than this place. I would NOT recommend this place if you are looking to pay good money for good quality food. read more

I've eaten at both the Noah's/Einstein Brothers Bagel chains before. I've used this location for over 3 years, but today was the one that made me frustrated to Yelp about it. I normally go early on weekends to avoid the crowds, about 8 ish. However, since my daughter was working today, I wanted to treat her to a decent bagel and bring a box home for the gang. We pulled in about 9:30 am to a packed parking lot; Strike one. I should have known better but assumed this is old hat for them and they surely can handle the surge and provide a simple service; Strike two. There is a line to the door and the lobby is filled with people nursing drinks and some blogging the near empty bagel display. Some people are actually eating a meal, but only a sparse group; Ball one. The selection was extremely limited by the time I get to the window to order. The groups before me either just made due or settled on what was there or flat out left. Which, I should have taken the hint at that point to exit stage left. Since I didn't want to disappoint my daughter, I asked the less than customer focused bagel artist/vendor/slinger a simple question. I didn't ask for world peace, a cure for cancer, or what the meaning of life was to her. Smalls, you're killing me.... I asked, if this was the limited product available, when would more be available to order? I was polite and kept my manners in check since my daughter was there. She gave me a vacuous look and said we don't have any more bagels right now; Ball two. Er, okay. I get that by looking at the near empty cabinets. I politely said, I understand you're out of bagels. What I meant was when the next batch was available or ready for ordering? A smaller bagel slinger from behind the counter steps in with her limited words of wisdom, we're busy this morning. The first bagel slinger then out of nowhere says about 40 minutes. She must have a psychic connection with the baker hiding in the back because she never left to check or bothered to ask. Look, don't guess and come up with a random number; Ball three. Meanwhile, there are no fewer than 7 couples behind me staring at a more limited selection and even worst service. You're asking me to pay a premium price for bagels, therefore I should not be expected to just settle on a limited selection; Hit by pitch, my daughter said forget it Dad. We walk. Apparently no one there has a clue about managing a store, what an empty cabinet looks like, how to forecast customer traffic/demand or even someone sacking up and saying I'm sorry but.... We drive across town to the smaller store by 217. The lobby was busy and brisk. We were in and out in less than 5 minutes. They were polite and friendly, but efficient. Shocker, they cut the bagels without being asked, they even placed the garlic and onion bagels in their own separate bags to avoid them stinking up the box; the bagels were cut to perfection. They even asked if I wanted freezer bags. 5 minutes worth of work the store made 16.99 for the order. The kept it simple and got it right. They provided what the other store is sadly lacking which they can't provide a simple service, sell a bagel let alone even properly cut a bagel. The bagels are good, with plenty of choices. The breakfast sandwiches are average, but they sling 'em out fast and the quality is better than McDonald's or Starbucks. The lunch sandwich bagels are actually decent. That being said, the restaurant is understaffed and you will not be overwhelmed by the staff's enthusiasm. With limited options in the Tanasbourne area, I end up at Einstein's more than I would think by the rating I give them. read more

Yes that is a pet peeve of mine and it feels like Einsteins has no idea what its doing when it comes to the bagel business. This location is a cluster f**k on the weekends. The kids that work there seemed more interested in chit-chatting with each other than paying ANY attention to the orders they were working on: aka NOT bothering to toast the bagels I ordered. Also, when I pay for extra cream cheese, I'd like to see some evidence of it. Or does extra mean you get cream cheese on both sides of the bagel? .shakes head. And while we are talking about service, why does it take two cash registers to order and then pay? Wouldn't it be more time efficient to order and pay at the same register? Living in Hillsboro, there are pretty limited options for a quick bagel place. Unfortunately after trying this location, I still haven't found a good one. They didn't have any bagels with Jalapenos (no longer carry any is what I was told) so I ordered a green chile and cheese bagel sandwich, ordered my wife a six cheese bagel sandwich, and then ordered a dutch apple bagel for us to share (what can I say, I was craving bagels). The bagels themselves were pretty basic and comparable to something you would get in a $2 six pack of bagels at the grocery store. I wouldn't order either of the sandwiches or bagels that came with them again. The dutch apple would be okay after a long night out, but honestly I probably won't go to this store again no matter the bagel craving. My total bill was $15, so price was a little above average given the quality. Noah's bagels, Sunrise Bagels, Portland Bagel Co and Kettleman Bagel Co are all heads and shoulders above this place. Next time I will definitely be willing to make the longer drive to get someone worth while. read more

The place was mostly empty when I arrived at 10am. There were 4 employees behind the counter and not one said hello when I approached. I decided what to order and waited for someone to take my order. One employee walked by and didn't even look at me. I waited some more. I made eye contact with another employee. She glared at me but didn't say anything. I waited some more and finally asked who was going to take my order. The woman who glared said she would but that I needed to move 3 ft to the right where the register was. Geez!! It took a few minutes of observing to get the flow of the place. The pace of it seemed efficient enough. It felt almost like moving through a cafeteria line. I went with a regular jalapeño bagel and cream cheese. The sweetheart went for one of the breakfast bagels. I've never heard him rave so much about a bagel sandwich. A bagel really is only a bagel. The one nice thing is you get a better selection here then the super market. There are also many spreads to choose from to bring out the flavor of the bagels. I still need to try there bagel sandwiches. I would say one thing they load you up on the spread i had to take some off to see the bagel. There are many drinks to choose from as well.
