I feel like this place doesn't even try. It's truly shocking. I've ordered here a few times via phone app and EVERYTIMEEEEE they mess it up. Not even honest mistakes like pure not caring. Today I ordered 4 bagels. 2 everything w/cc and chocolate chip w/cc and plain butter. Got two everything and two plain all w/cc. You got half right guess that's better than none. None of them toasted and like a small slap of cc in the middle. By the looks of the other comments sounds like the owner/management need to get it together. Eh nothing special. I ordered the turkey avocado and it was literally just an expensive plain sandwich with bagel instead of bread that I could have easily made at home.. I left a review 7 months ago about sadly terrible our experience was at this particular location. A manager asked to give them another chance and let them know how they are doing. We decided to go back last Sunday around noon. There were probably over a half a dozen employees working behind the counter so we figured fast service. A young man took my for eat-in order which was pretty straight forward. We pick up the order and here we go. Only the bagel for the hot bagel sandwich was toasted but made with the wrong kind of bagel! My vegge out on jalapeño cheddar bagel was not only toasted but also made with a plain bagel!! My two other bagels were not toasted and cold! The shmears were wrong. I hate to send food back but in this case I had to say something since this was another mishap happening after we were asked to come back for another chance!!! The first biggest problem with this place I have figured out is that nobody pays attention when taking orders! The second biggest problem is that they don't repeat the order before they send to pay for it!! So they screw up and if you don't have the time to ask them to correct it then you're stuck with it!! The food turned out not what we had ordered obviously and the experience was ruined because I truly hoped they had redeemed themselves! The ambience was the same as before, nothing special. So I think we have decided to red ink this location altogether and just keep going back to our bagel shop in Carlsbad. I noticed three other friends left the same disappointing reviews based on their experience as well. I'm sad because as a Jewish New Yorker, we really care about our bagels. Einstein's makes really good bagels but it's time to let go... Einstein's bagels please improve the service and train your staff way better. The service is always terrible, but today it managed to be worse. I went to pick up an order for a friend and got there at the exact time it said it would be ready, I got there and asked for the order and the woman said that the order had not yet appeared in the system that when the order came they would do. Ok, I waited for another 10 minutes and nothing, 15 minutes passed so I decided to ask someone else about the order, that's when she said that the order had been ready for a long time and I had seen the order on the counter since when I arrived. so I went to talk with the colored haired woman who works there about what happened and she was super rude. 9:15 on a Saturday morning. The place is packed and there are 3 lines. Apparently, you order at one before waiting to be called to Pay at the next. Then you get into another line, surrounded by tables and patrons eating and waiting for their food. Horrible layout and very inefficient way of doing things. Next time, I'll buy the bagels at Costco, or down at Starbucks to avoid the chaos. Long and awkward wait for mediocre bagels. If you do not like your job.... there are lots of other people that would love to have a job... that will smile! I stopped in to grab some bagels for the office. I wasn't really greeted... it was more like what do you want... I let the gal know I wanted a dozen if she could just mix it up. I let her know that separately I wanted a Jalapeno bagel and not in the box. She was asking me a question but, was standing behind a box that was on display on the counter... instead of moving her head to look at me and make eye contact... She didn't ask if I wanted my bagel cut and with some smear (if she had I would have said yes) Then I picked out 3 things of cream cheese, Jalapeno, veggie and plain. I sat them on the counter and she mumbles oh you want 3 cream cheeses... The Oceanside store had it's issues for awhile, but as of this posting, things have turned around for the better!! The store has a new manager, and her name is Chanel, and she is top notch and a hard worker! She and her team together provide excellent customer service in all areas! The selection of bagels are now plentiful and the bins are full. The coffee pots have been replaced with new ones and the coffee is now fresh and steamy hot! The store is cleaner and well kept. The patio is now swept and maintained! All in all a great experience!! read more

I decided I wanted a good bagel, and I knew I could get one here. In the past someone has brought me a bagel from here, but this was my first time to actually go in and order. I figured it was noon and that the morning crowd would be little if any. Well, I don't know if it was because it was the weekend, but a line of people were in front and me and soon to be the same after I got in line. People were already seated at the tables, but plenty more still available. Yes, there is a wide variety to choose from, so I was glad it was a long line because it gave me some time to select. There were a lot of baskets empty in the display but still enough yummy ones to choose from. I decided on the Nova Lox on a non-toasted bagel. I also ordered a Iced,Oregon Chai Tea. Both orders were delicious. I ordered my bagel to go, so it came in a flat, rectangular box, and was placed opened in the box. I was on my happy way awaiting to chomp on my bagel. In the meantime, the line was only getting longer. The staff had the lines moving steadily, as long as the customers knew what they wanted. I was surprised and thankful for the plentiful seating available inside. Although I decided to take my sandwich to go, I know that there will be ample seating for the next time I crave a good bagel. read more

I currently went to Einstein's bagels this morning on my way to work I am a local and have been going there for quite some time now this morning I went in there was this very sweet girl who's all by herself her coworker did not show up it was 6:30 in the morning and she had a full entire house of people waiting to be attending and she was just so kind to every single one of them and took the time out of her morning being so stressed out as she was to ask how everyone was to make sure that everyone's order was complete and that they were content she got me in and out of there pretty quickly regardless of being the only one there . Wish I would've caught her name but excellent service give it a five star definitely would go visit her. read more

Came in here today and holy cow we're they ever busy. The food was great, just kinda bummed there wasn't any gluten free options for my 5 year old! But they did fix a mistake when I didn't want cream cheese and it was accidentally rang up as cream cheese. My husband was very happy to not have cream cheese. Price was a little expensive when you add extras but overall wasn't terrible. read more

Oh Yes!!! I could not wait to get back to Einstein Bros Bagels when returning to Oceanside. My favorite bagel place thus far! Aside from their amazing selection of bagels, the sandwich options are great too. I love the turkey sausage and cheddar with egg on a sesame bagel. I always have to opt for a second egg because can you ever have too many eggs?!?! The flavored iced teas and coffees are always fresh. Staff and manager are always very pleasant. Very clean facility. I get Einstein's ever so often as one of the physicians bring them to the office. My fav is the chocolate chip bagel with low fat cream cheese schmear. Visited this place for the first time, and I was pretty impressed. Great customer service and a variety of menu items to select from. It was actually pretty busy during this visit. I chose my fav bagel and schmear and decided to try the Strawberry Mango smoothie ($2.99). I would have preferred my bagel a bit more toasty, but it was still de-lish. The smoothie was awesome!!! It's only offered for a limited time, so try it!!! Traffic could be challenging with all the busy shopping centers and restaurants in the area . There is ample seating inside and out. We usually come in the afternoon so it's pretty empty but most of the bagels are almost sold out. The Lox bagel is so classic here and that's why I come here. I wish they could grill the onions but they don't have a grill and that's ok Bec that's my kinda thing.... We also get the bacon turkey avocado and add an egg to it. Super yum status! This Einstein location is conveniently located in the same center as my closest major grocery store, so I find myself here more often than I'd like to admit. The bagels are average - about what you'd expect from a chain, as opposed to some other independent mom n' pop shops straight outta Jersey. The line is a bit confusing - you don't go to the first available register nearest the door, but instead you go all the way to the back wall, order at one register, and then proceed to the before-mentioned register to pay. Classic bagels are included in the sandwiches offered on the board, and specialty bagels cost extra. Last time I tried the egg, spinach, mushroom and Swiss bagel sandwich, which I would not recommend. The flavors were just too rich for a breakfast sandwich, and the egg was spongy and strange. Their coffee drinks are incredibly sweet, so be forewarned to ask them to adjust the syrups accordingly if you are sugar-sensitive like I am. Overall, a decent place to grab a Baker's Dozen for the office, or enjoy a tasty bagel and cream cheese on a Saturday morning. read more

My co-workers introduced me to Einstein Bros Bagels (read: almond schmear) and I've never really given it up. I wanted to share the addiction with my husband, so you can imagine how stoked I was to find out that there was an Einstein Bros nearby! We came here on an early Sunday morning and it was PACKED. Not too surprising, since bagels are usually a breakfast thing. This particular location is pretty easy to find. It's a few lights away from the plaza that has the Daiso, etc. so it's easy to find. This plaza has a Starbucks, Mimi's Cafe, and McDonald's. There is an ok amount of parking, but it can get busy so please be aware of that! This particular location is kind of small. A lot of tables are crammed in together and you constantly feel like you're going to knock over stands/people/etc. when you're trying to get to the counter to order or to your table. Everyone we spoke with was super nice and friendly - very professional and helpful! Though the last time we went here, the girl who rang us up clearly hated her job and her life lmao. The only downside imo is that it's a little unclean. Not a big surprise as there are people constantly milling in and out, but annoying that people can't clean up after themselves lol. Fresh bagels and Speedy Service! My fav: Pretzel Bagel with ham and cheese please! This morning I grabbed a Vanilla Latte The customer service was great and no lines for me!!! The bagels are soft and freshly baked. The main lobby area was clean and there was plenty of seating. Tons of Bagels to choose from!!!! Don't stand there too long you may want one of each haha!
