I ordered the lox bagel on sesame seed. At first they gave me the wrong order had I not ordered it to eat there I wouldn't have realized it until i got home. I saw them making my order so I just gave back the wrong order. Food- the bagel was very tasty, very soft and tasted fresh, the lox was ok, they gave me very little lox, it didn't even cover the whole bagel (see picture attached) but I do have to mention the price of the lox bagel is cheaper than most bagel shops. Overall, I would order the bagel again. Their freshly squeezed orange juice was also really good. It seems they have some healthy options which I will have to try next time. They also have a variety of hot drinks. I would say the bagel Definately left me hungry if they added more lox I would Have definitely given them a higher rating. read more

My co-workers introduced me to Einstein Bros Bagels (read: almond schmear) and I've never really given it up. I wanted to share the addiction with my husband, so you can imagine how stoked I was to find out that there was an Einstein Bros nearby! We came here on an early Sunday morning and it was PACKED. Not too surprising, since bagels are usually a breakfast thing. This particular location is pretty easy to find. It's a few lights away from the plaza that has the Daiso, etc. so it's easy to find. This plaza has a Starbucks, Mimi's Cafe, and McDonald's. There is an ok amount of parking, but it can get busy so please be aware of that! This particular location is kind of small. A lot of tables are crammed in together and you constantly feel like you're going to knock over stands/people/etc. when you're trying to get to the counter to order or to your table. Everyone we spoke with was super nice and friendly - very professional and helpful! Though the last time we went here, the girl who rang us up clearly hated her job and her life lmao. The only downside imo is that it's a little unclean. Not a big surprise as there are people constantly milling in and out, but annoying that people can't clean up after themselves lol. I go to this place all the time. I love the food. Every sandwich I have tried has been amazing and they have the best coupons that come out in the Redplum coupon insert. I'm not a big fan of the bagel poppers but everything else is A+. The service here is slightly slower than at other Einstein shops, sometimes there will be 3 people standing around and only 1 making orders but I think they are working on that as it was more efficient last time I was in there. Went there for breakfast. Service was great, food was excellent. So why only 4 stars?? Well, they seem to be the last place to allow indoor eating. There is no reason not to have some seating. Scale it down, but have some. I told my wife that maybe they just don't want to wipe tables anymore. So be prepared to take home or eat outside folks. read more

COMPLAINT - I visited store on 4/1/2021 at 11:11am - to start off there were not much variety of bagels left (no plain bagels) I had to pick from what was leftover that was a bit of a let down. I bought two tubs of cheese the plain shmear was icy inside almost as if it was just pulled out of a freezer - that was gross was not ready to eat. Lastly whoever made my coffee was completely wrong order I was a ice caramel machiattio and they gave me water down coffee. So I tried these guys twice for work meeting breakfasts. Both times incomplete orders were delivered and the driver had to go back. One time, no cream cheese for the bagels. Total fail. This was the best Einstein's in Southern California. The service was great. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Then they got rid of the manager that all the customers loved. It's a nightmare now. I waited 30 minutes for a bagel with cream cheese before finally giving up and leaving without my food or a refund. The new manager is in a frenzy of yelling and frantically moving from job to job pushing bewildered employees aside. It was a brutal experience. Try the Starbucks 100 feet East. read more

Love this place because the bagels and shmear is really good! Knocking off a star because of the really awkward customer service encounter I received today. So you know how you have to order a bagel at one end and pay at another? Well this morning was busy so they had 2 ordering registers open. I ordered my bagel and went down to the other end to pay. When I got to the other end, the cashier was just awkwardly staring at me, not saying a word. Here's what's going through me head: "What am I supposed to do? Are you ready to grab my card? Do you know which order is mine? Can you tell me my total? Why are you staring at me and not saying anything?" So I finally said "ummmm" and just gave her my card to pay. She still had said nothing at this point. The only words she spoke was "thank you" when she gave me my card back. She should have at least confirmed my order and told me my total. It's a bummer cause the never rotating employees are always nice but the quality slowly dwindled into the poor bagels they are now. I uploaded a picture of my sad/last experience at einsteins. When einsteins stops caring about bagels it's time to say good bye. They barely toasted it, which would be fine if the other stuff was legit. Rubber onions, the THINNEST slice of Swiss you ever did see and you don't get a whole slice or even a couple slices for each side but u get what looks like to be a fourth for each side. It's insane go look at the pics. There's also no away they spread cream cheese on there it looks like someone half way cleaned their bagel knife on my breakfast. I got my usual two dozen plain bagels on Mon as I get every two weeks because on Monday's bagels are $8.00 a dozen. The cashier rang up $21.99 and I told her I wanted the Monday special of $8.00 she said "But you only get one rung up special since your a rewards member". I have had the same problem with this cashier the previous month and I'm sick of it. I had to ask to speak to the manager to get the special. What's wrong with this establishment? I'm always been impressed with the owner of this location. He's very charismatic and is indeed always there. This location is very vibrant and has employees that are having fun with where they work. Einsteins consistently has fresh bagels and ingredients! I no longer order it but they have a delicious lox bagel if you're a fan. My usual order here is an onion bagel with strawberry cream cheese. Nothing like that salty crunch onion mixed with cream sweet strawberries. They have great coffee drinks as well as healthy drinks for kids. Everything has gone downhill since management changed earlier in the year. Current staff works at the pace of a DMV. Cleanliness standards have gone out of the window. One word Pretzel bagels!! One of my favorite spots to grab a bagel and coffee on my way to work. The service though is a bit on the slow side and it gets busy on the one side of the counter that you "pick up" your order. There has to be a more efficient way to handle the crowds especially on the weekends.The system: The order takers key-in the guest's order on a computerized screen. They typically read it back aloud to the guest for confirmation. The food prep staff, who stand two to three feet away at the prep station, gather the ingredients and assemble the orders. Meanwhile, the guest steps down the counter to the pay station, pays, and receives a cup for beverages. Usually, by the time we've done the beverage self-serve thing, grabbed our utensils, and settled at our table, one of the employees announces the name with the order. First time I came here the experience was meh, but I decided to give it a second shot. Much better this time. First time, the cream cheese was one cold lump in the middle, not spread out and not warming on the bagel. The bagel itself was toasted but cold, like they'd thrown it in a too hot toaster for too short of time. This time it was well spread and everything was served at the right temp. Yummy spinach bagel. We are quite regulars at this location and have always found the service good. However yesterday (9/15) my wife had one of the most ridiculously unprofessional encounters here, which incidentally involved the manager. We are very understanding and patient with employees, especially if they may be new. My wife ordered a bucket of bagels and two extra cream cheeses. Simple enough. When she got to the register, the girl repeated her order but added on two sandwiches which she didn't order. (They happened to belong to the lady behind her in line). My wife told her those were not hers and it was just the bucket of bagels and the extra cream cheeses. My wife then payed but was a little confused about the price and looked at the receipt and saw that she was charged for the sandwiches. She brought this to the attention of the girl working the register and she basically has a look of not knowing what to do at all. At this point she called the manager over who spent about 5-10 min trying to refund her the cost of the sandwiches. I'm not quite sure why they couldn't have just voided the transaction and just ran it correctly. They were getting frazzled as the line was starting to build up behind her. They finally got it figured out and said she should see a refund of the sandwiches on the credit card in a few days. If this was all that had happened we would not be leaving this review. We understand that mistakes are made with the register and the technology can be tricky. BUT here is what made my wife furious. As she was walking away, the lady behind her went to pay and the manager said "Oh this is on us, don't worry about it". Are you freaking kidding me!!!!!! My wife was thinking what about me whose order you actually did screw up. What about the 10 min you spent trying to fix overcharging MY card. There was no apology to my wife or free food (which we wouldn't have expected). BUT how unprofessional to say that especially when my wife was still standing there. Obviously she would have rather not heard the comment and left knowing she's getting her refund but grateful she checked the receipt before she left. read more

Upon arriving at this restaurant this morning, the first thing I noticed was that the trash can out front was overflowing with garbage.
