Ever since the staff and management change the quality and customer service has gone down. The coffee which they are suppose to be known for besides the bagels have gone down. In the cup there is black flakes not coffee grinds but black flakes of some sort. Also after drinking the Coffee just from here have gotten sick. I was a regular here until Delish opened about half a mile further up Sand Lake Road. The food quality is consistent. The bagels tend to be a bit too airy but they are flavorful. The coffee is above average. Service has been less consistent, but that tends to be my experience at most chains. There is not a lot to say about Einstein Bros. Chances are good that you will have an acceptable or better experience if you come here, but with local options such as Delish and Cafe de Paris nearby, why would you want a chain experience? read more

This review is for he dr Phillips location and also the Altamonte Springs, maybe a handful of other sites-- While it isn't the same as a classy NY bagel, they do a pretty good job for a chain! I always enjoy their regular and gourmet bagels. While it's nothing necessarily "incredible," I can't keep myself from popping in for their breakfast sammies! When I need something on the run with good quality that is always reliable - it's these guys! Not too long ago they began using cage-free eggs, and this only elevated the quality. Sign up for the shmear society (free) and you'll always get great coupons too. I'm an Einstein fan, for sure. This location in particular has such FANTASTIC staff, it keeps me coming back. Regardless of when I visit, I'm amazed by how friendly, polite and efficient the staff are. The supervisors or managers on duty are always actively engaged in the operation- restocking, cashing people out, chatting up customers and staff, alike, which I think is a key contributing factor to the overall vibe of this location. I typically stick with a cinnamon sugar bagel, toasted, with honey almond shmear. It never disappoints! I'm a huge fan of their coffee too, such nice flavors and really smooth. It definitely seems like people enjoy visiting this location, as it appears to have many regular customers and, in today "to go" culture, a surprising number of customers choose to dine in here! The bagels with egg are really good and if you want a large breakfast you can add OJ, smoothie, coffee, fruit cup etc. This on other hand adds up to the bill which makes it the same price as any full service breakfast diner. This is our go-to place for bagels. Yes, it is a chain. And yes, you can expect the same great selections as other locations. This location has never disappointed us. They are efficient, friendly, and most of all, the bagels are great! I sometimes will ask for 2 eggs as their bagels are pretty thick and one egg, in my opinion, just doesn't seem like enough. They also have cream cheese aka "shmear" to go. There is limited seating and lots of parking around the area. read more

This was my second time visiting an Einstein bagel and I was completely unimpressed. My first visit was about 5 years ago and all we got was bagels and smear to go which I remember being great. This time I went to get a bacon egg and cheese and a coffee for a late breakfast. Upon arrival we were not greeted rather we just stood there watching as the two employees did other tasks. At 1 PM their bagels were scarce and there were not many savory options to choose from, luckily there were a few plain bagels in the back. My bacon egg and cheese was there greasiest thing I've ever eaten. As I picked up one half of my bagel grease dripped out of the bottom and pooled in my basket. I had to open both sides and pat down the insides. Their self serve coffee was watery and just not good. The counter was sticky and their sugar container had old sugar caked on the opening. The staff seemed miserable and didn't smile or even look at us while we were ordering and paying. The trash was overflowing and their tables inside were dirty. While emptying our trays, I noticed the plastic baskets under the paper had old food dried onto them. They looked like they weren't washed after the last few people used them. Came here on a Sunday around 1 (4/23). Bagel selection was little to none, I get it they close at 3 on Sundays but still. Waited a good 10 minutes before asking what we wanted to order. The two women I saw working at the time seemed like they didn't want to be there. They seemed miserable and not friendly at all. Giving it 2 stars for the overall experience. I got the chorizo sandwich on a plain bagel, let's just say I've had better bagel sandwiches at Dunkin Donuts. The bagel was the best part. Maybe it's just this location but I probably won't be back. I'm not looking for anything fancy, I get its not supposed to be, but at least make an effort to have some sort of attempt. I'll probably try a different location. The inside was not clean, trash cans over flowing, not appealing at all. I would suggest coming here only for the bagels and cream cheeses, but not much else. The coffee wasn't even good, but tasted watered down, even though it was medium roast. Tossing them out, a different employee asked if she could remake them for us, which was at least an effort on their part, but we declined. All in all, a pretty disappointing venture to the Einstein Bagels here in Dr Phillips. I'll give Einstein another shot, just not this location. read more

This service was terrible! I was waiting for 42 minutes then when I went up to ask how much longer, was told it would be at least another 15-20 minutes. I cancelled our order and as they were working on my refund, I watched them throw just-cut bagels in the trash from other customers who had asked for refunds before me. I go to this location a lot and usually love it but my last experience was really not that great. I went up to the counter and the girl at the counter had her phone out sitting next to the register when I was ordering. She seemed very distracted, I got a lox bagel meal and she said I couldn't get it as a meal, I pointed out on the menu it is the first item under "meals" and she was like oh ok then called out to her coworker to answer her text for her. Then I ordered a large iced caramel macchiato and she asked me twice what size because she kept looking back at the other girl laughing about the text. Then when I got my bagel meal it didn't have a pickle so I asked for one and she told me it didn't come with it but I again pointed at the menu that clearly states the bagel meals come with a pickle. When I got the bagel it had the smallest piece of lox on it (I get the meal all the time so I know this one was lacking the proper amount.) I paid $7.99 for this itsy bitsy strip of salmon and barely any toppings. My friend with me even commented that the bagel looked sad, I agree this is a sad looking bagel. read more

I came here at 12 pm and got in line. As I was waiting about 10 minutes have passed and the line moved a couple inches. I stared into the abyss for who knows how long. I think I memorized the ingredient list on 20 different items that were sitting in the fridge section. When it turns 12:15 PM I'm about to be next in line, but one of the employees tells me to order at the next register. I comply and walk over to the next register. 5-6 minutes later I see people pass me and go to the register I'm standing at to pay for their meals? So I laugh and interrupt trying to figure out how do I order now. The lady said I was supposed to order at the first register and pay here, but she will take my order. The time is now 12:24 pm or around there, and I order 3 sandwiches with six cheese, and a drink. She doesn't ask me for my name, doesn't give me a receipt, but I do get my drink and she puts in my Order. So I take a seat right in front as I was given a numbered tag. It's now 12:27-28 and I wait. Around 10 MINUTES later I approach the front asking what's going on. She said oh "We we were looking for you! We don't have any six cheese, only sweet bagels, and poppy seed or sesame seed. I said it's fine just give me sesame seed bagels. I get the sandwiches at 12:42 PM, and 2 sandwiches are made wrong, 1 sandwich is burnt. One of the employees said this was the worst store he worked at and he was leaving in a month. I put in a complaint online but they could give a damn since no one has bothered to contact me about this days after. I want a full refund, and damn right I will never go into an Einstein bro's even if I was even near death, and I needed water! Haha fuck this company at this location! What utter trash! read more

Now, the waits are HORRIBLE--I've waited over 45 minutes for a simple toasted, buttered bagel that I ordered ahead on the app!! When I tried to cancel, the mgr told me I'd have to email Einsteins to request a refund because I paid on the app. I filed a complaint but never received a response. INSANE. This is a great spot to grab breakfast or lunch sandwiches! It is very big and clean and offers outdoor seating. When you walk in, you get in line and order (big boards everywhere, easy to see the menu) and you give the first person your order. After you slide done and pay for your meal and any beverages. Then you wait for your name to be called. My meal came out in about 3-4 minutes, it was really quick and exactly what I ordered. I ordered chicken breast with mozzarella, artichokes, spinach, and garlic and herb schemear. I got it on a toasted everything bagel instead with a side of potato salad and a pickle. The spinach florentine bagel with garden veggie shmear is one of my guilty pleasures, and chocolate chip bagels with honey butter have been a favorite of mine since I was a kid. . .then there's the bagels with lox, and the seasonal bagels (PUMPKIN!!!!) I used to come by here regularly when I lived in the area, but moved to a more distant suburb with no place for bagels. It has made me crave Einstein even more. So when a workday project took me to the area at lunchtime, I knew there was only one option. My only worry was, would it have stood the test of time, and be as good as (or better than) I remembered? I need not fear. While the menu has been adjusted somewhat (not everything comes with a side the way I remembered it, and in the era of anti-carb panic they've introduced the "bagel thin," a fair compromise), the ingredients were as good as I recall. And the staff were friendly and speedy -- also a bonus. Do they make authentic, good-as-New-York bagels? No, but I'd hardly expect that in the swampy suburbs of Orlando. But what they offer is as good as any I've had in Central Florida, and they've managed to endure in a community with other options. This location is quite busy on weekend mornings so you will have to queue depending on the hour you arrive. When you get to the counter you will place your order and then follow to the next register where you will actually pay for your meal. There is a large window with tons of different bagels to choose from followed by a cooler filled with all the schmears (spreads) you could possibly think of. It can actually be quite overwhelming to make a decision. The menu has a nice variety of options like the Santa Fe and the Ham & Swiss, you then choose what kind of bagel you would like the sandwich in. I highly recommend joining the Schmear Society (their frequent diner program) because they send out coupons quite often and will save you some money. read more

They usually have a long line in the morning, especially on the weekend, so be prepared to wait a little if you go during those times. Came in just before noon, and they still had a nice assortment of bagels left. They have several choices ranging from your typical plain and everything bagels all the way to pretzel bagels, jalapeño cheddar, and even tomato basil. Lots of choices for drinks too-smoothies, fresh squeezed orange juice, etc. There is seating both indoor and outdoor, which were comfortably filled for the time of day. We got 3 bagels; bacon and egg on everything (they put cheese, wasn't asked for), Asiago with chives cream cheese, and a pretzel bagel with bacon egg and cheese. All were delicious. The only takeaway I have is that we asked for all of the bagels to be toasted and none of them were. Still very good food and very friendly service. They had also given us a BOGO coupon which starts tomorrow, but unfortunately today is our last day in town. We would definitely come back to Einstein Bros once we are back in Orlando. read more

One patron in front of us ordered "Asiago" bagels and was told after fact that they didn't have anymore and would be willing to make fresh if they were willing to wait. Coffee was great and cheap! I've visited Einstein's twice recently and intend to make it a habit. I'd been before and didn't realize what I'd been missing by not returning. And what was I missing? The bagels. These are hands down better than any other bagels I've had in Central Florida. The egg sandwiches on asiago bagels are great, and the pretzel bagels are really good on their own (maybe too salty to use for a sandwich). I've been on a Saturday morning and a Sunday morning at peak breakfast times and the service has been fast, courteous and efficient. Finding a table was not difficult either.
