Egg white, bacons and a half a slice of cheddar cheese that tasted like plastic.

I paid for 2 bacon egg and cheese and only got bacon on one of them. The employees at the Greentree PA location are rude, ignorant, and nasty. I called and asked them to add mayonnaise to my sandwich and she said it would cost extra but I can give you some mayonnaise packets for free which doesn't make any sense. So the store buys mayonnaise packets and gives them for free, but I can't get mayonnaise put on my sandwich that they have on the expo line? I will never order from this location again. The portion was small. Hardly any cheese. Didn't taste fresh. From now on I will buy everything myself and make it at home. Save your money folks. Don't support a business that isn't accommodating to their customers and that are just there for a paycheck. Everyone is lazy, and no one takes pride in their work anymore, and that's a disgrace. If you don't want to do your job, STAY HOME! The restaurant inside needs a complete makeover. It's very outdated.

Sub par bagel, terrible whipped cream cheese.

They have really gone down hill quality wise, while their prices have gone up. I used to come here at least once a week and now maybe once or twice a year.. Spinach bagel with cream cheese and a small iced coffee drink and it was over $13.00. The cream cheese (chive) was some type of whipped formula that was rather bland, and was like eating uh sweetened Cool Whip. My favorite bagel is no longer made (pesto) and they were out of 3 varieties at 10:00 am. They no longer have potato salad as an option and their bakery products are almost non existent compared to what they once had. Really a shame to lose a place I once enjoyed going to. Mediocre food, poor selection and overpriced.

These guys are awesome. Seriously. There's no better way to say it! They're friendly and wonderfully efficient. When one employee is taking your order, one or two others are already getting started on it so that you can get it as quickly as possible. They're one of the main reasons why I keep coming back here. They do great with the food too! I usually get a hot chocolate in the morning (super mature, I know), and they always make it nice and rich. They don't skimp! Even the toasted bagels are given a nice thick topping of shmear. It's fun enjoying these goodies in the neat, tidy dining area. It's very well taken care of for the most part, though though are times when it's noticeably dirty and could use a bit of care. Other than that, I love coming here!

Haven't been here for years and was surprised how empty it was on a weekday morning. The woman behind the counter was cheerful and knew her menu well. I ended up with a toasted chocolate chip bagel and it was very good. Their coffee is also good. All in all, good bagel and nice atmosphere.

A sad bagel sandwich tale. We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon. We were the only customers there and the two behind the counter working were pretty distracted with each other. It was a super young man and woman. This was only my second time at an Einstein Bros. and most likely my last. My partner and I each got a sandwich. There was a lot of miscommunication and both sandwiches turned out to be wrong. Mine was still wrong after getting it remade, but I just ate it. The worst was the sandwich itself, aside from it's wrong items. Good grief. Look at it? The egg whites aren't even a patty. It was put together horribly sloppy, one side of the bagel wasn't cut through and it was completely cold. All I did was walk it from the store into the car. I've gotten more appetizing breakfast sandwiches at gas stations. (Oh, and that's supposed to be a thin bagel, but as you can see, it is not.) I'm giving it 2, instead of 1, stars because stuff seemed rather fresh, but it was such an unsatisfying experience. And no one even apologized for the issue, which for me, is an automatic thumbs down. We all make mistakes but how it's handled can make all the difference.

Order was quick. The food was hot and made to order. I had an iced chai late. It was okay. My boyfriend has a caramel macchiato. He said it was okay also. He threw it away and didn't finish it. I would get some bagel to go for home next time

Love the bagels here! Got the spinach bagel with vegetable cream cheese and it was delicious. The service we had when we went was not that great. The cashier didn't seem too happy. But the bagels made up for it!

I was a little surprised to see the rating so low at only 2.5 stars. The bagels are good. I stopped in here for lunch and we were served quickly. The veg out was tasty, perhaps could have used a little more flavor but I enjoyed it. The avocado toast was also very flavorful avocado was fresh. I'd get both again. The girl working the counter did not know the answer when I asked if they had decaf iced tea. However, I have low expectations for that sort of thing when coming to places such as this. Not sure about that cleanliness of the bathrooms. Would certainly come back and would try other locations as well.

The Speckled Egg provided the upscale and elevated breakfast, that was a nice contrast to the rustic and local breakfast we had the next day. Our waitress was friendly and professional. After some deliberation, I went with a bowl that included eggs, chicken sausage, sweet potatoes and a nice garnish of dill. The dill surprisingly elevated the whole dish. My wife enjoyed an omelette. Coffee was also quite good! Nice start to a day of sightseeing! (The restaurant staff gave great advice about the nearby tourist attractions)

He was courteous, well spoken and friendly. We sat there for about 10-12 minutes. No one approached the table. We looked over to what appeared to be a bar area and we saw two servers standing there talking and showing each other their phones. My wife said, "With our luck, one of those two is our server." Sure enough, when they were finally done talking, one came over to our table....no smile and a big audible sigh. She asked what we wanted to drink, we gave our order and she returned with our beverages. After another 10 minute wait she came back to take our order. When asked about a certain dish, came another big sigh, eye roll and and a rote description of said dish. The food arrived and one of the orders was wrong. Another wait to get her attention. We asked for the item to be redone as we had ordered it. And she even asked how we wanted it! You got it...another eye roll and a big sigh. At least she was well oxygenated! The dish came back with the very same results. On that issue we gave up. Then came the wait for the check. Once again the two servers were chatting, no heads turned to check on their tables. My son went over to get the check. When the check arrived, it was attitude city. She accused us of picking on her because she was only a server. It's obviously how she saw herself. We then asked for the manager who was quick to side with the server. She said that nothing seemed to satisfy us and that we had a problem. IN SHARP CONTRAST. I have been to the Speckled Egg on the South Side many times. From the Host/Hostess to the servers to the bus staff, everyone had a smile, chatted with their customers, laughed and it was always a great experience. The manager came over since he recognized me from being there many times and we chatted for a minute. We are talking Night and Day. Completely two different experiences from server to management styles. To me there is only one Speckled Egg and one complete waste of time (Downtown).

Thank me later! ) What really made the experience even better than just having great waffles, was the people. General Manager Sharon and Assistant Manager Kelsey were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely seemed excited to help. The owner Len was EXTREMELY responsive to my email & text inquiries (which honestly is rare these days.) As a small business owner myself, I notice and appreciate that kind of effort immediately!! This place is absolutely underrated. Between the amazing staff, the aesthetic Instagram/TikTok worthy storefront, and food & drinks that are ACTUALLY delicious (because sometimes places only nail one or the other ), they've got the full package! Plenty of seating inside & out. clean bathrooms, self-service kiosks but they also have a register if you are lazy like me. Parking can be a little challenging, but there are several nearby garages that make it manageable. 10/10 experience. So grateful we got the chance to try smashed waffles. I ordered a coffee, a savory waffle, and a sweet waffle, and everything was delicious. The cinnamon roll coffee I ordered was also fantastic and a very smooth and sweet drink. Everything was fantastic, and the owner was extremely kind and welcoming. I will definitely be back!

The cool vibe restaurant is tucked away up a short flight of stairs on Filbert Street. It gives the place a cozy, hideaway feel with brick walls and murals. It's pretty popular, so you might have to wait a few minutes for a table, but it moves pretty quick. The menu focuses heavily on crepes and French toast, and they do both very well. I went for a savory crepe that was loaded with eggs and topped with a rich sauce and diced vegetables. It came with a side of fresh fruit which was a nice touch. We also ordered a sweet crepe to share. It was beautifully presented with chocolate drizzle, berry sauce, and a massive pile of whipped cream. The coffee is solid too. Verdict: This is a consistent and reliable brunch spot. It was the perfect way to kick off my trip. I will definitely be back next time I am in town.

But the star of the show for me is the Shakshouka. I have gotten it the last 2 times I went. You also have to try their Dirty Chai. My only critique is the hostess at the front. She appeared overwhelmed by her role and was not warm. We were actually told by the waiters that "she is serious about her list". Which would be great if she managed it effectively. When I brought concerns that we had been pushed down the list 3 times for other parties. She responded "well, how do you know that" to which I responded "we watched you take their names down after ours and sit them before us". Her response was to shoo me off and tell me to go find a table myself; to which I did. But what a poor way to manage your stress, responsibility, and consumers. On the bright side my waiter/waitress was awesome per usual.
