I used to frequent the Einstein's Reno location and loved it. This is my third try with the Sparks Einstein's, and I don't think I'll be going back. If ordering un-toasted bagels, or a bagel box to go..they're fine. (That's what I did last visit) If you want a toasted bagel, bring your own toaster. They don't toast the bagels, they just quickly warm them, so you're left with a gooey bagel and sticky cream cheese because it melts and soaks into the un-toasted bread. I felt like I was eating wet play dough. On this visit I asked them to redo my bagels and tried to point out that they weren't toasted. Nobody looked at them, and I really didn't get much response except "sorry", as they kept working on what I will assume were online orders since there were no customers waiting. After a bit, the manager spoke up and asked one of the employees to redo my order and turn up the toaster ...very strange encounter since nobody was really talking to me or looking at me...the in-house customer. I felt like I was interrupting them and in their way. I kinda got the feeling they weren't going to remake my order because they just kept working on their to-go orders with backs turned to me. I thought about just walking away and leaving the bagels on the counter because the delay was awkwardly long before the manager spoke up. They did turn up the toaster up to remake my bagels, but they shot through the machine just as quickly. I think their toaster rushes the bagels through too quickly, so although they turned the heat up, it didn't have time to actually toast! On my first visit they were packed, so I thought the undercooked bagel was due to the rush. There were hardly any customers this time though, so there really isn't any excuse, especially since I asked for a redo. This location has shown me that not all Einstein' Bagels are the same...what a bummer. I was hoping this would be my new bagel spot after moving to Sparks. Positives: it's clean and has plenty of seating. I haven't left a review or even opened my Yelp app in so long, and it feels awkward to have it be a negative review, but I felt like I needed to warn other Yelpers. I was surprised to see how many others have left negative reviews for this location as well, but also...not surprised. Please don't waste your money at this Einstein's location. Side note for Einstein's...are you ever going to remove that raggedy looking realtor lock from your door handle? It's been there since you opened and looks more and more torn up each time I visit. read more

I had a wonderful first experience at the new Einstein bros in Sparks. Walked in and the cashier was super friendly and waited for me to figure out what to order for my family and I. Once I ordered, the order came out super fast and one of the employees brought it right out to me at my table. I complimented the gesture and took the order home. My sandwich was super yummy and I can't wait to go back to try another one. I ordered the Santa Fe sandwich and it was still warm when I arrived home. We'll be back! read more

Worse experience ever!!! Not only did it take 30 mins for my bagel order, it came out cold, hard and not fresh at all. The eggs and bacon were so cold, that it didn't even melt the cheese at all. Horrible experience. I also witnessed a staff member make 4 bagels for guest that were already called and gone, and she just threw them all away, such a waste. Have been here a few times at this new location. If you plan on eating in, please beware that they do not seem to have any air conditioning. We came in one day on a hot day and it felt like it was 90 degrees inside the business. We always end up eating outside because of how hot it is in the building. Today, we ordered a chorizo bagel, one of my favorites that they offer. The flavor is usually pretty good, just enough saltiness to it and the spread is really good. It gives it just the right amount of spice to your bagel. Upon ordering the coffee, we noticed it tasted SOUR. We ended up asking for an entirely different drink that had no coffee in it and they were nice enough to replace it free of charge. Probably won't order anymore coffees from here and just stick to the bagels. Service is pretty nice and simple. Place is cleaner than most Einstein bagels I've gone to, but I've already noticed they don't really wipe down the tables. read more

This was my first time in any bagel store ever. My first time buying a bagel and ever eating a bagel. I'm 71 so now that I've finally discovered bagels I've got a lot of catching up to do. I have no idea how Einstein Bagels compare to others. I ordered the sweetest one I could think of...cinnamon sugar...toasted. It as pretty good. I love chewy bread and it as coated in cinnamon sugar. I was happy. I was only disappointed by how LONG it took to get my bagel. I guess there were some sandwich orders ahead of me. And maybe they only have one toaster? All I know is one guy did all the toasting for making several sandwiches before he toasted my one bagel. Only ONE toaster? Seriously? If they had another one the other employee could have toasted mine and I could have been out of there before the sandwiches were even made. I liked my bagel. I'll try another one. We ordered a toasted cinnamon sugar bagel, toasted with regular spread and a breakfast bagel. I arrived 10-15 minutes after ordering and it wasn't ready (perfectly fine as they weren't that busy but could be a newer staff...), I check in to the front and order some pup bagels and get a spread because the online menu doesn't give you an option to add spread (again, perfectly fine as I bought a tub of one I didn't want because they don't carry onion and chives by the tub). Then I'm told that they're working on the order and should be ready soon. 5 minutes later I get my food, and head out. Arriving at home. There is a plain bagel, untoasted, with spread. Disappointed.... As for my breakfast bagel, eggs are cold. Sausage is cold, this was a 5 minute drive to get home... there is no reason that the food should be cold, and an order be incomplete the way it was. Especially when you're there for the staff to let you know that the bagel isn't available... now we have a disappointment and inconsideration at play... I've been here 2 times, I gave it an honest second chance, but if I want Einstein, I'll just go to Reno as this location has lost my business... it should be almost against health code to be serving cold food especially when it's eggs... Like the majority of other people doing reviews from this weekend, I also waited quite a long time, but that is to be expected when they are offering BOGOs and there is a new crew working. Rather than concerning myself with long waits etc, I am focusing this review on the customer service and the quality of the product. This weekend we attempted to try this location twice (Saturday afternoon, and Sunday morning). On both attempts they were very busy, with Sunday morning being far busier. On Saturday we ordered ahead and arrived about 10 minutes after we ordered. We waited about 10 minutes before they called my name only to tell me that they ran out of the bagels that we wanted on our sandwiches, and offered up a couple of options to choose from. About 30 minutes later, another person called my name and let me know that they were out of an ingredient for our sandwich. We opted to cancel the order, it was a pretty important ingredient :). The refund went smoothly, and the young lady did so with a smile and did her part to try to make things right. She did so well, that we returned Sunday. On Sunday we order the same sandwiches at about 10:05am. I arrived at about 10:20 or so, to a packed house! Every table was full, people were waiting in line to order and the guests waiting on orders were overflowing outside. I looked at the counter and there were no order up, so I waited. Roughly 11AM, I was called up to be informed that they didn't have the bagels (again) for the sandwiches that we ordered. I chose an alternative and a couple minutes later we received our order, an apology for the long way (along with a smile) and we on our way. We both order the Chorizo Sunrise Egg Sandwich with one egg. Even with a different bagel, the flavors and quantity were spot on! We will return, when things calm down a bit crowd wise! There isn't a lot of seating here with half a dozen or so tables. It would be nice to see some outdoor seating options when the weather warms up. read more

You ever play one of those food server games and all the people got mad. Well, that's exactly what happened to this staff. They got about three people's order wrong in about a five minute window of us sitting down (including our order as well). I watched one of them throw away so many perfectly good sandwhiches because they were "wrong". The staff was quick to fix issues that's why there is two stars. I would suggest the establishment utilize apps like "Too Good To Go" when they are consistently making sandwiches wrong so there isn't so much food waste. Saturday mornings are busy. So if you want to try, I suggest coming here but be prepared to ask for your food to be remade, try to come when it's not too busy so you can have time for them to make it four different times until it's right. read more

Sat and waited another 45 minutes, went up to the counter and asked again and told again 20 more minutes. HELL NO! Asked to not toast the bagels just toss in a bag, lady says no another 20 minutes. Because the place just opened, I'm not going to complain about how crowded it was or how slow the service was. We got half a dozen bagels, took them home, and toasted a couple of them immediately. Honestly, a really terrible experience. My daughter (8) really wanted to try it so we ordered two bagels online and had waited about 15+mins per the instructions online. Went into the store to a chaotic situation to say the least. People everywhere standing around waiting for their orders and the staff unfortunately just standing there. I waited for about 6-8 minutes or so before -anybody- got their order, which was crazy because the place was completely packed. The whole time online orders kept stacking up. Why not turn off the online orders and handle people standing right in front of you? First time stopping in we brought a group of 5. Food was pretty good. They got my bagel choice wrong and they were out of regular eggs so everyone had to get egg whites. The breakfast menu is VERY small, I was underwhelmed by the choices. I got the biscuits and gravy type bagel and it tasted nothing like biscuits and gravy though it was really good. I found it to be flavorful and not dry. We ordered a regular sausage and cheddar for the kids which had no cream cheese, no salsa, no sauce whatsoever. Dry and not good at all. The ratios of filling to bagel is off. Much more bagel with hardly anything in between on the tomato bagel. Service was great and the coffee was delicious. Restaurant was clean. My 75th birthday was just a few days ago and I decided to treat myself to a bagel lox and cream cheese etc. at Einstein bagels nearby. I have eaten at the Reno branch many times in the past and it's always been wonderful but this is a new business in Sparks. please don't waste your time even going there. It is such a disappointment. In Reno they have so many bagels to choose from and in Sparks they have like six different bagels to choose from. I ordered an everything bagel. I took it with me and had to rush to the DMV. after I was done with the DMV, I went to my car and proceeded to eat the bagel and it was hard as a rock completely inedible. I was shocked and so disappointed. I wrote the company but they don't care they just send you long things to fill out questionnaires that don't mean anything.
